I came here cause I’ve recently gotten into Queen Bee- I was immediately drawn to this band because I’m Half Japanese, and two of the members are also half Japanese. Honestly, this song is really relatable for me because when I go to Japan, and even when I’m in America, I face a lot of discrimination and resentment for being mixed race- This song really manifests my feelings. I only understand easy Japanese and Spanish. I feel really far from both sides of my culture but at the same time very close. I can map out another half-Japanese person from a mile away, but I can’t map out myself. I constantly tell myself I’m not Japanese enough, or I’m not Dominican enough. But this song gives me a more positive outlook on myself. I have to stop caring what other people think about me. My race isn’t the only thing that defines me, and I should do my own thing.

I really liked this song. I'm latino, and in our countries we have A TON of mixed people. We are all the same, but when we meet each other's families we realize our ancestors are quite different. In Sao Paulo I met a lot of half asians, and they all had to "act" in front off their families. With "us" they are loud and lively, with their families they act conservative and keep quiet. From what I've seen it must be hell to transition as minority in Japan, so it's quite inspiring to see her and all of Queen Bee triumph!
Being mixed myself, i understand fully the message in Tokyo Ghoul, Half, & the mixed members of Queen Bee. The song portion "never been half at anything" stands out as the key point. It doesn't matter what I've been made of, it only matters that ALL of me is present before you & it's ALL of me you will get everytime! Giving you Half of me will never be good enough!
I'm half Japanese and half African American so just thank you for this song. It really means a lot to see a voice speaking up. Makes me and so many others feel recognized keep doing what you're doing.

Pretty sure they wrote the song thinking about that issue rather than writing it for Tokyo Ghoul. The song just happened to connect to TG and so it was used as the outro. Being multi cultural is never easy and you’ve got to think like Yoshimura said, you’re part of both cultures and have their blood inside of you and should believe that you are welcome in both communities.

I recently rewatched Tokyo Ghoul and I remebered this song. It has literally been the only thing I have been listening to for 12 hours. Words literally cannot describe how much I love this song, but screams can. A-
I happened upon this after listening to Fire and being obsessed with Avu-chan's high register. As a soprano, I was in awe. As a mezzo, I'm even more impressed with her low range. Their music speaks volumes to me in a nostalgic way, but also in a way that I can't quite describe. It's hauntingly beautiful. It speaks to my soul, so to speak. Also, every member is absolutely stunning in appearance.

I happened upon this after listening to Fire and being obsessed with Avu-chan's high register. As a soprano, I was in awe. As a mezzo, I'm even more impressed with her low range. Their music speaks volumes to me in a nostalgic way, but also in a way that I can't quite describe. It's hauntingly beautiful. It speaks to my soul, so to speak.
Also, every member is absolutely stunning in appearance.
