I think we will get DK Mountain instead of Dino Dino Jungle considering we are getting Diddy and Funky Kong and it's much more of a fan favorite. I don't see Luigi's Mansion, a mushroom cup course being the 2nd to last course in the spiny cup. With that being said, I would swap Luigi's Mansion for Airship Fortress, swap Dino Dino Jungle for DK Mountain and I agree with the rest.
Hot take: Mario Kart 7's Mushroom Cup had a great idea on paper. The idea that each track apart from the last introduces a new mechanic was genius, and if the tracks themselves were better, it could've been the best starting cup in the series.

Meh. I don't get why people would exclude one Tour Nitro when the main point of the BCP is literally preserving all Tour Nitro courses, as well as bringing courses being remade in Tour, whether good or bad (and majority of them are MKWii and MK7 Nitros and Retros). Naming convention in EN aside, Piranha Plant Pipeline is just how the localizers named that course. The Japanese version calls it "Pipe Canyon", a way better name imo. One thing to note of is that most Tour Nitros (that aren't cities) are placed at the end of their cups (minus Merry Mountain due to Rainbow Road) and all of them don't have lap changes either. So Piranha Plant Pipeline still gets the spot as that Tour Nitro that don't have lap changes, like many other Nitros. Of course, there's Piranha Plant Cove. I mean, it is technically a City Course as it feels like one.
While everyone is saying that Wii Rainbow Road is coming, I kinda want GCN Rainbow to come into the final wave instead, mainly because of its sweet music.
GCN Rainbow Road is god awful though in terms of everything else about it because it's way too long, takes like 4 minutes on average to complete and there's no shortcuts.
Toad's Factory is not going to be in Tour, due to the fact Mario Kart Tour is no longer adding new Content. Also, we've should've got DS Luigi's Mansion instead of Waluigi Pinball

Tbh it's odd there's only 8 tracks left... A lot of the retros still left in tour feel like they were designed with the BCP in mind. (SNES BC3, Dry Dry Ruins, GBA BC4, Airship Fortress (got a surprisingly detailed glow-up), Mushroom Bridge, Yoshi Desert, Riverside Park). Also, besides GBA Rainbow Road being my favorite Rainbow Road, I'm glad there's a near 100% chance it won't be back in the BCP. That track is one of the most fun to play and had so many fun ways to break it. If they keep up bringing back the RRs in order, GBA should be back in the next game with the usual level of detail >:D
Out of all these tracks, I want either SNES Bowser Castle 3 or BC4 because those tracks are cool. I also will make the case personally that GBA Rainbow Road is the 2nd best Rainbow Road behind Mario Kart 7 as it's not too long unlike most of them and it has a few cool mini shortcuts.
Another thing, I think is a bit "naive" to not consider that we won't get both Piranha Plant Pipeline and Piranha Plant Cove, all original Tour tracks so far have gotten in, not believing in that goes more into hardcore wishing that another console gets a track rather than objectively considering the possibilites. At least for me the only real console replacements that can happen are in these scenarios: - SNES Bowser Castle gets replaced with another console's Bowser Castle, most likely GBA BC4. - Instead of a second GCN track, we get something random like DS, 3DS, GBA, GCN or maybe even N64. - Instead of a second GCN track, we are getting Wii Rainbow Road (my leading theory).
I'm not absolutely writing off that we get both as I did put Pipeline in the possible tier. I guess some of my preference kicked in when factoring it in, hence I put Cove in the final eight and not Pipeline.
The dev team for Tour already announced that they're not adding anything to Tour anymore so Delfino Plaza and Toad's Factory definitely won't be coming to either Tour or 8DX.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but my favorite courses have always been the circuit courses. I like racing on road race tracks. They might be simple designs but simple doesn't mean bad.
I can understand that. I like tracks like Mario Circuit 3 that provide the player with lots of turns and different shortcuts they can take. While it seems like it has a simple layout at first, it does offer something for more advanced players as well, and I like that.
@BlabbaYT I think what appeals most to me about it is that I feel like I'm actually racing a car in a Mario universe. I kind of feel like Mario Kart has gone too overboard with some of the bizarre surfaces you're racing on and I've never liked the anti-gravity sections of tracks in Mario Kart now. I still like Mario Kart but a simple road course just sits at the top of my list when I look at tracks I enjoy.
You also have to note that between wave 5 and the direct Nintendo found out we saw the data for all the tracks, so they're changing a lot so that we have a harder time predicting it.
Just like you said, it's great for newcomers to learn the ropes, so that's exactly why I think it'd be be terrible for the final wave, as I feel like the difficulty of tracks have/should be ramped up as the Booster Course Pass progresses. I wouldn't have been as mad if this track made its way into the BCP near the beginning.
Although I think the final tracks are pretty much confirmed (Madrid, rome, daisy circuit, wii rainbow road, the two piranha plant tracks, snes bc3 and dk mountain/dino dino jungle) I really hope they do one last surprise, I'd love to see Yoshi desert and possibly gba bc4 in place of snes bc3 It'd be hilarious (although 0 chance obviously) if the last course of the whole bcp was wii luigi circuit tho lmao
They wouldn’t go out of their way to add all but one Tour track lol Also it’s not actually a Piranha Plant track, it’s Japanese name is Warp Pipe Canyon, so there’s not as much overlap as you might think at first.
Overall it's a good speculation. A minor detail is the order of the maps basing of the leaks it could change. By any means, this means some stuff like Bowser castle o Rainbown road could enter into the unlikely category. I won't be for me a total surprised if they want to choose another Rainbow Road instead of the WII version... they could add in tour in last minute as well to conserve the surprise factor, but still: WII rainbown road is the most likely category. By the way, imagine if the last slot is a new Raibown Road 2.0 lol Edit: I read Tour wont add new tracks, but not being in Tour its not guaranteed that wont appear imo

I feel the retro Bowser Castle priority goes like this: SNES Bowser Castle 3 > GBA Bowser's Castle 4 > 3DS Bowser Castle > All three other GBA Bowser's Castles.

This exclusive idea is stupid, you can't even play every track you want anytime and by the time it would return (in 1 year btw) the game is probably already terminated. Why would they create a track just to make it unplayable after 2 weeks? We are getting both in wave 6, everyone who says it doesn't is drunk. By the time this track was created and planned to release nintendo already decided to quit new content for the game so they had no reason to release it.

I dont know if its gonna be dino dino jungle though, i mean it seems possible but DK mountain hasnt made a debut since the Wii, and it just seems more fitting imo. 0:24 you say “for some reason” but this is literally consistent with the previous 3 Nintendo Directs only revealing one track and the wave’s characters, with the exception of wave three where there they only revealed two tracks and that’s it.

At this point, Toad's Factory is just a lost cause. I was expecting that as a possibility, but now that they chose this hunk of junk of a track, I don't think it will ever return.

Wii Daisy Circuit Wii Rainbow Road (prefix leak, only Rainbow Road in Tour) Tour Piranha Plant Pipeway (what do you mean "possible?" It's a Tour track.) Tour Piranha Plant Cove Tour Madrid Drive Tour Rome Avanti SNES Bowser's Castle 3 (Got overhauled in Tour in a way that makes antigravity seem inevitable) The only room for speculation is with the last GCN track, which will likely be Mushroom Bridge, as it is the only one of the three remaining GCN tracks from Tour that got any changes.

No link with the booster course pass but: I think we will see GBA rainbow road in Mario Kart 9 because think about it. Final track of the lightning cup in MK7 was SNES rainbow road and in MK8 it was the same with the N64 one soooo maybe it will return in MK9 as the final track of the lightning cup.

I would prefer to move some tracks from no chance to unlikely or possible, because they can still reshuffle the last tracks or add other surprises like a second booster course pass (this is not likely but I like to dream about it). But however I said this because they cannot finish this cup with a non-special cup or star cup track comming. If i have to... I would choose BC4(GBA) to replace BC3(SNES) ONLY if is not happening BC3, Rosalina's Ice world to replace Luigi's Mansion (Because the winter theme and is an Special-cup track) or just putting Pirahna Plant Pipe-line in the 3rd or 2nd spot of the last cup. Also I could switch rome and madrid because rome's track is more dificult than madrid's track. I would leave the rest of the tracks at the same way

What if I told you DK Mountain is a lock because we’re getting a minimum of two Kongs in this Wave as playable characters? How this track wasn’t even put as Possible is kinda wild to me considering it is a fan favorite, a GCN track (definitely 1, maybe 2 tracks), and we’ve got incoming Kongs. I also feel they’d table DDJ until the next game because of its scale. I felt the 3DS remake was not as good, and I’m sure they want to do this track justice. Then again, they dropped Sunset Wilds without a sunset, so maybe they’re not concerned about justice.

Tbh it's odd there's only 8 tracks left... A lot of the retros still left in tour feel like they were designed with the BCP in mind. (SNES BC3, Dry Dry Ruins, GBA BC4, Airship Fortress (got a surprisingly detailed glow-up), Mushroom Bridge, Yoshi Desert, Riverside Park).
Also, besides GBA Rainbow Road being my favorite Rainbow Road, I'm glad there's a near 100% chance it won't be back in the BCP. That track is one of the most fun to play and had so many fun ways to break it. If they keep up bringing back the RRs in order, GBA should be back in the next game with the usual level of detail >:D
Fortress was released in 2020. Nintendo is focusing more on the tracks more recently added to Tour, so I feel there is now way Fortress makes it in
Out of all these tracks, I want either SNES Bowser Castle 3 or BC4 because those tracks are cool. I also will make the case personally that GBA Rainbow Road is the 2nd best Rainbow Road behind Mario Kart 7 as it's not too long unlike most of them and it has a few cool mini shortcuts.
Another thing, I think is a bit "naive" to not consider that we won't get both Piranha Plant Pipeline and Piranha Plant Cove, all original Tour tracks so far have gotten in, not believing in that goes more into hardcore wishing that another console gets a track rather than objectively considering the possibilites.
At least for me the only real console replacements that can happen are in these scenarios:
- SNES Bowser Castle gets replaced with another console's Bowser Castle, most likely GBA BC4.
- Instead of a second GCN track, we get something random like DS, 3DS, GBA, GCN or maybe even N64.
- Instead of a second GCN track, we are getting Wii Rainbow Road (my leading theory).
I'm not absolutely writing off that we get both as I did put Pipeline in the possible tier. I guess some of my preference kicked in when factoring it in, hence I put Cove in the final eight and not Pipeline.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but my favorite courses have always been the circuit courses. I like racing on road race tracks. They might be simple designs but simple doesn't mean bad.
I can understand that. I like tracks like Mario Circuit 3 that provide the player with lots of turns and different shortcuts they can take. While it seems like it has a simple layout at first, it does offer something for more advanced players as well, and I like that.
@BlabbaYT I think what appeals most to me about it is that I feel like I'm actually racing a car in a Mario universe. I kind of feel like Mario Kart has gone too overboard with some of the bizarre surfaces you're racing on and I've never liked the anti-gravity sections of tracks in Mario Kart now. I still like Mario Kart but a simple road course just sits at the top of my list when I look at tracks I enjoy.
All 4 tour tracks are coming to Wave 6, Nintendo has done this twice now.
You also have to note that between wave 5 and the direct Nintendo found out we saw the data for all the tracks, so they're changing a lot so that we have a harder time predicting it.
I don't think Nintendo cares that much about surprising us, but that's an interesting way of looking at it!

Just like you said, it's great for newcomers to learn the ropes, so that's exactly why I think it'd be be terrible for the final wave, as I feel like the difficulty of tracks have/should be ramped up as the Booster Course Pass progresses. I wouldn't have been as mad if this track made its way into the BCP near the beginning.

A minor detail is the order of the maps basing of the leaks it could change.
By any means, this means some stuff like Bowser castle o Rainbown road could enter into the unlikely category. I won't be for me a total surprised if they want to choose another Rainbow Road instead of the WII version... they could add in tour in last minute as well to conserve the surprise factor, but still: WII rainbown road is the most likely category.
By the way, imagine if the last slot is a new Raibown Road 2.0 lol

@@BlabbaYT yes and the way I see it is if something is prefixed to be something to not rely too much on it because there have been alot of changes in it and I like to go by what makes the most sense and having 2 Piranha tracks in wave 6 doesn't sit well with me and also I've had speculations about them possibly having 3 wii tracks in wave 6 as they seems to be so focused on wii tracks and wii dry dry ruins is the only wii track in tour yet to be added and I just don't see them having wii daisy circuit and not also having wii dry dry ruins so this is how I think the cup layout will look

This exclusive idea is stupid, you can't even play every track you want anytime and by the time it would return (in 1 year btw) the game is probably already terminated. Why would they create a track just to make it unplayable after 2 weeks? We are getting both in wave 6, everyone who says it doesn't is drunk. By the time this track was created and planned to release nintendo already decided to quit new content for the game so they had no reason to release it.

I agree with 6 of the 8 tracks that they will be in Wave 6 but the 2 tracks I want in Wave 6 are GCN DK Mountain and Piranha Plant Pipeline.

Honestly, I agree with your prediction. I dont know if its gonna be dino dino jungle though, i mean it seems possible but DK mountain hasnt made a debut since the Wii, and it just seems more fitting imo. Otherwise, i would just change the order around of all the tracks and it would be perfect! Its what i've been predicting from the start but no one believes me since Luigi's Mansion is at a low rate of getting added. But its worth a shot, right?

And as you said, the non retro tracks like sky high sundae and squeaky clean sprint have always been at the end of the cups (except merry mountain) but what i've also noticed is that they have come on at every other track, Fitting the last nitro right into the acorn cup since squeaky clean sprint was the last track of the first cup in wave 5. I dont know if it matters, but its what i've noticed. Great video and wonderful prediction!

Not track related, but considering that they revealed 4 characters means that there will be another 4 to fill their spot, i hope that we will get another nintendo related character (cough cough *kirby*) like rob
I would prefer to move some tracks from no chance to unlikely or possible, because they can still reshuffle the last tracks or add other surprises like a second booster course pass (this is not likely but I like to dream about it).
But however I said this because they cannot finish this cup with a non-special cup or star cup track comming.
If i have to... I would choose BC4(GBA) to replace BC3(SNES) ONLY if is not happening BC3, Rosalina's Ice world to replace Luigi's Mansion (Because the winter theme and is an Special-cup track) or just putting Pirahna Plant Pipe-line in the 3rd or 2nd spot of the last cup. Also I could switch rome and madrid because rome's track is more dificult than madrid's track.
I would leave the rest of the tracks at the same way

How this track wasn’t even put as Possible is kinda wild to me considering it is a fan favorite, a GCN track (definitely 1, maybe 2 tracks), and we’ve got incoming Kongs. I also feel they’d table DDJ until the next game because of its scale. I felt the 3DS remake was not as good, and I’m sure they want to do this track justice.
Then again, they dropped Sunset Wilds without a sunset, so maybe they’re not concerned about justice.
Oh, I put GCN DK Mountain in the likely tier, so I do think it definitely can make its way over to MK8DX!
