After getting in touch via email, Eric and Vivianne from by Vief in the Netherlands arranged a trip to the UK, for a private session with Aden at Sculpture Studios. Tutorials on materials, processes, and a real one to one crash course class at the workshop.

Aden has a crazy amount of talent. Very nice of him to pass it on to other interested parties.

If we were closer we'd stop by so much you'd have to start hiding behind the big blocks of foam so we couldn't talk your ears off. We have learned so much from watching all of you over the years and we are very grateful. They looked like they enjoyed this. Cheers!

What is it about hot wire cutting? I have the usual tabletop model and if i have visitors [of the 'non-maker' type] you can be sure they'll melt me out of house and home in XPS foam if I let them have a go!
BTW its nice to see you passing your skills forward! Cheers.

I have a few hot wire tools, but I have never seen the 2 independent hot wire handles that you can put any size wire on to cut very big pieces. Can you please let me know where to purchase that, I am in the US. I am getting ready to retire and move to Brazil and would like to carve large commissioned and non commissioned pieces and cover them in either mosaic tile or cements and house paint vs. fiberglass and auto paint like you do. I worked in auto body and boat building and would like to stay very far away from fumes and chemicals. I wish your studio was near Florida so I could learn from you before I move. Thanks.

Hi Marco, thank you very much for the comment. You're absolutely right, the separate handles means that you can put any length of wire on for large cuts. We have our hot wire machines built for us by an electrician, using a variable transformer, 2 handles (one with a switch on it). Retirement and some large scale carving sounds perfect to me. That's what I have in mind for a couple of years time!
Perhaps take a look through some more of our videos to pick up some hints and tips. Perhaps arrange a flight over to the UK before Brazil, and have a 1 to 1 visit ;)
