Apologies for poor sound quality. The microphone wasn't working correctly and it's not the sort of thing you can do another take.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge so freely! I cannot wait to give this a try. I have been admiring your incredible talent for bringing life and drama into your sculptures ever since I first saw one of your fairies a few years ago.

Hi! You did a fantastic job of yours (I follow your channel) I made a 10 inch fairy and it was pretty good. I don't think jewellery is my thing. I just don't care enough to make them perfect but I'm loving making wire fairies

It's mad how we relate to anything human-ish. As soon as you put the skeleton in the vice, I just thought 'oh poor girl, that looks terribly uncomfortable' 😂😂

I assume I can't jump into this as a hobby, can I? I've looked through your work and think from the videos I've seen so far what your doing is amazing(art is beautiful in all aspects) and your explanations well enough for someone to try this. It's just that it all looks so very professional.

actually, you can. of course, you cant just start doing masterpieces like good old robbie here, but if you start small, yeah, you can, i made one of these with gardening wire, it doesnt have to be perfect, you can just learn as you go along.

I’ve been doing this back and forwards for year’s, but I just use thin cheap wire, and I just make my figures in a smaller size. The same way when you make a wire sketch before you make sculpture

Pretty easy to see why these are spendy to buy. I'd love to have one but my budget will probably only allow a print or papercut or two! Beautiful work!

I am in the midst of a similar creation (not fairy)intended to be a weather vane, body in the wind and all weight bearing on the pivot of hand and one arm. You have given me excellent insight not only structurally but also body dynamics. My base materials and skeleton are nearly identical but I had it in my mind to facilitate some sort of clothing to flesh it out. Weight in my application needs to be minimized but I find your look appealing. Thank you very much for sharing your skill and experience.

Beautiful work Robbie. I would really love to try this. Is the wire rust proof? I made fairies from polymer clay a few years ago but want to try this for outdoor sculptures for myself and a few beach neighbors. I will be purchasing your book as well. May I ask where you get your wire as well? I live in Canada.

Hi and THANK YOU for this and all of your videos! I just ordered your book and am excited to read it.
Can you please tell us where to obtain the propane torch used for the rebar (at 21:50) ? This handheld tool would be useful for rebar (obviously) and so many other art projects. I have looked exhaustively here in the US and there is nothing I can find that comes close to this handheld configuration that can adapt to a larger fuel cylinder, as you have. Here we seem to have only three choices: A small general purpose propane or mapp torch, a rather long wand and oversized burner made for destroying vegetation, or burners made to be placed inside metal forges -- all of which dissimilar to yours. Any suggestions?
