Hey whats up man, I think im gonna check this track out next weekend, I guess there is a race out there, I'm gonna check it out, just got the MX4 last week!
@@freerfixedit hell yeah, that's awesome didn't know that, I'm gonna be honest, the MX4 is the first bike with a throttle I've ever had and Im stoked to try to ride it out there but not sure if I'm experienced enough, thinking about just sending it but ehhh.....😅😅, got the same 241s as you, wish I had known about those new Tusk Groundwire tires, they look perfect.
@@robnaugle4149 yeah the 241s are a little shaky in the sand, but I just air em down to like 10-12 psi. It’s a fun little track, getting used to a hand brake instead of a foot brake still messes with me. But it should be a good time, pretty tame little track as you can see, mostly table tops and nothing too big
You kicked ass! Quick couple questions: how did the shinko’s hold up and what type of generator did you use in between race & practice? I might be doing a Halloween race out in Northern California and I’m still trying to figure out the whole charging thing.
Thanks a lot! Had a great time, the shinkos for hard packed dirt would probably be fine but they were sketchy in the sand 😅 a buddy let me borrow his camper generator so it was way overkill for charging the bike. The charger only draws 800w max so a 1000w generator just for charging should be fine… hope this helps and thanks for watching! 🤝
Hey man did you get a controller yet? I'm looking at a few, ko nano, waiting for a cheaper bac4000 supplier for talaria or just the ebmx 9000. Any thoughts?
@@freerfixedit my thoughts exactly I just see people bashing them then one comment under I see people thrilled that they went for the nano. I'm personally wondering if they looked in a bac8000 which can apparently do 90kw if setup right then looked inside a nano (17kw max) and went well this doesn't look as good. Dunno I wish they had a bac 4000 for 750$ like the surron one from GLE
@@cameronmcclure2452 same here. My first choice would be a bac8000 or 4000 but they aren’t available yet and don’t have tunes for talaria. I’ve seen a lot of negative on Ko about spending a lot of time tuning and having throttle lag. So yeah, ebmx seems to be the best current option. I’m in a bunch of fb groups and people seem pretty happy with the x9000
Hey sorry to bother you but could you tell me if there are any other shimano brake pads models that are compatible with the 2023 talaria sting r? You would really help me out. Thx
No worries. As far as I know there are the ho3c which is the metal version, and the ho3a which is the resin version. Resin will grip a little better but wear out much faster than the metal. Hope this helps, thanks for the support! 🤝
Umm, after the 3 practices I was down to about 80% or so. Used a generator to charge it back to 100 before the first motos and stuck it back on the charger after. So figure I burned up about 20% in 10-12 laps
Excellent ride loved the way you smoked them in the 1st moto thanks for the vid 😊
Appreciate that! Definitely had fun! 🤝🫡
THIS IS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING, Great Job out there mate
Appreciate that brother! Thank you! 🤝
Horning on a MX track is no fair play - next time you get the wires cut 🤣
😂😂😂 had to do somethin, almost impossible to make passes!
Killed it out there💯 sucks that some people jumped the gate on the 2nd moto but you still did really good
Thanks I really appreciate that! Yeah stuff happens I guess. I still had fun! 🤙🏽
brooo this looks like so much fun wish i had a small track near me
It was an absolute blast! This is all I’ve wanted to do with the bike since I got it, and man was it fun!
Hell yeah Fro!

@@robnaugle4149 and yeah, if I rode dirt only I’d probly get a set of the ground wires. They look nice!
superb video which tire model
I have the Shinko 241s front and rear in 2.75 x 19. They were a little shaky in the sand. I like them for the road a lot tho

If I had to buy one right now, the x9000 looks like the move. I haven’t gotten one yet but I’m pretty convinced I don’t want a KO

That track looks amazing. Where is that?
Morgan’s corner proving grounds in Elizabeth city, NC. They have that pit bike track and a big bike track as well. Fun little sand track!

Ditch the horn... weight reduction.
😂
You should breathe through you nose more help calm and control your breathing.
I was dying when you were honking the horn 😂😂
I know, I gotta get different goggles or somethin cause these tend to pinch my nose and it makes it hard to breathe right, thanks for watching!
