The names of the chips are codenames associated to custom chip versions, I'll guess. It's like the naming on Amiga computers (Denise, Gary, Buster, Gayle, Lisa, etc.)...

Fichte means Spruce, and Appel means Appeal. I hope this helps. It's just a company name like ASMedia or Realtek or Intel and so on.

Still looking for help? I’ve done 20+ MB key swaps with NEC chip (all worked) and a few thousand SOIC-8 EEPROM swaps. Local to LA and could come by once a week.
So, were you able to reuse the customer mother board or did you just go straight to the donor board in case there was something else wrong with the customer fob?
He move customer's firmware chip onto donor board.

Due to the lack of audio, I wanted to summarize as I see it. I assume that the Fichte/Apfel chips contain the configuration information for the particular vehicle. You removed the Fichte chip from the donor board ruclips.net/video/ywt3b9ICm2A/видео.html and did not use it since it was for a different car. You removed the Apfel chip from the customer's fob ruclips.net/video/ywt3b9ICm2A/видео.html, fixed the torn pad, and soldered it back to the donor board. Correct?

Insane the amount of money these car manufacturers charge for a new fob. Absolute con. And crazy that they're now making something that gets dropped and knocked around a lot with BGA chips now. I suspect you're going to get a LOT more of these in future.
