Very nice job! You are a fine craftsman! I would recommend the Liebherr harbor crane by NZG in 1:87. I have one for my port and is very nice! All diecast and very detailed.
+hdtraincam I agree... RUclips is great for model train guys and many other hobbies etc... I remember way before the internet, getting the monthly issue of model railroader for products and new ideas. Now we have an unlimited source of inspiration. I do lots of scratch building and gained much knowledge online but two 1:87 container cranes and a ship to go with it is insane. Too bad Hollywood doesn't use miniatures for spec-fx in movies anymore. That would be my dream job. Get paid to do what I love..... 👍
i totally agree that is my view also..the INTERNET for research is total gift from heaven for model-builders..we have a very unique n special relationship with it others will never use ...we study heights shapes designs ..all to get proto info to help us model better..cant wait to see where this digital gift takes modeling .... in future...great sharing ideas...
+CNFAN79 the ship is loosely based on hapag llyods ship Dublin express --i have a video i shot of the prototype on my channel search my vids--(Dublin express Southampton) cranes are a basic copy of the standard port container crane

i basicslly limit my cumunication to this comments forum ...the crane is made out of wood pine mostly...also if you serch my videos on my cannel there are lots of videos on how i did it ..all i can say is try to construct one and keep rt trying till you get it ..sometimes i make 3 models before i finish up...there is no msjic formula to scratbuilding ..just do it lots of prototype pics on the www.....whatever you built will be great ,,cus you created it ... go for it you will be happy you tried modelbuilding is a take controll concept not depending on others free your mind and create.....hope this helps ,regardes hdtraincam
