Not a hard graphic to discredit tho , it didn’t show difficultly of any of those team’s defenses, the Ravens defense is literally on par with most of the best defenses we have ever seen in the NFL , none of those teams defenses were even close , so the graphic was a nice thought but it left out a lot of key information that is needed if you want it to be 100% accurate and none of the QBs that played for those teams are the MVP ..
@@Im_On_Plutonah the graphic was perfect, because no matter what stat you bring up the pre constant is a passer rating of 80 since broussard said there is no way Mahomes would play below an 80 passer rating. So thats the only stat that matters since they won ALL the games where that happened regardless of any other stat you bring up. Thats why it was a trick question. I’m saying this as a Manning guy, through and through, since his senior year in high school: the problem with all these “new Brady and Manning rivalry” arguments is that, in any comparison, Mahomes is Brady AND Manning, especially early career, Manning all the stats and Brady the team success and rings.
When Brady got a first ballot HOF receiver in moss (Manning had 2 with Harrison/Wayne his entire prime), Brady also had all the stats and set the TD record record at the time. Up to that point, Deon Branch had been Brady’s best receiver who never in his career had a 1k yard season (he was 2 yards short his final year in NE before Bill trade him).
I don't think a reference to perception is a bad argument, which is what anyone who says that is doing. It's not about emotions so much as clarifying shared perceptions. Which is also why in real life, appeals from these types of observations are more pragmatic and efficacious than logical abstraction.

I love coming and watching these videos after the games and it makes my day and i love how Nick always is right about the cheifs most of the times xD and now the 😂 cheifs vs 49ers is the superbowl xD
Idk how Lamar is said to be the MVP this year. I like Lamar, but he wasnt even top 10 in passing leaders this year. He's 15th.. So a QB in 15th place should be the NFL MVP??? What's the purpose of QB stats then?
Like Nick has said in the past, Mahomes is Brady and Manning. Right now he's the Manning of the regular season and the Brady of the post season when comparing him to his current peers and what they've accomplished. Looking ahead to the future though, I don't think Mahomes will have only 1 rival. There's too much parity in the league and too many great quarterbacks and teams, especially in the AFC.
I feel like if lamar wins it all this year, the primary rivalry is gonna be between those two. Both multiple time mvp winners, and possibly both sb winners. Both have plenty of nfl records and all pro appearances. Just sayin 🤷♂️💜
Two thoughts on the Chiefs defense: 1. I think the Chiefs were missing Derrick Nnadi against the Bills, as he's been more of the run defender in our defensive line than Chris Jones. Charles Omenihu was also ill the previous day and didn't look great that night, which is probably because he wasn't 100%. Spags definitely struggled against the run for three quarters, but he got it together when it mattered. We'll need to see more of what they did in the fourth quarter early on against the Ravens. 2. Does Brou not realize that the Chiefs have the highest sack percentage this year? Their defensive front has been pretty strong all year.
Even tho spags figured out the run game in n the fourth, bills still had their way for 3 quarters. Ravens are a much dangerous run team and 3 quarters might be all it takes to get a lead chiefs can't come back from
@@brdn-officialyeah they were so dominant against the Texans for 3 quarters... Wait no they weren't 😂 better put Mahomes on his back that's the ravens only chance at winning.
I'm a massive Chiefs fan who has been singing Mahomes' praises since he took the starting job at Tech from Davis Webb... And I do think (and let's be real, hope) that they knock the Harbaugh coached Ravens off this Sunday in a close game. Also, I like the trap laid there around Mahomes' expected passer rating being over 80 (resulting in unbeaten record this year under those conditions)... BUT, here's the problem with that argument. Mahomes didn't have an under 80 passer rating in those losses simply because HE played bad at QB. It was a combination of penalties, receivers not getting open, receivers not catching the ball, and o-line play being sub optimal at times. All of these things are outside of Mahomes control honestly... The argument is constructed such that Mahomes needs to play well (which we know he pretty much always does in the playoffs) in order for the Chiefs to win. But the reality is, his team needs to play well, otherwise it is a mute point.
“Moot” is the word, first off. The Ravens will swallow Pacheco and Taylor’s boyfriend. Mahomes is going to get sacked and quite possibly picked off more than once.
Thank you, ppl think we tryna diss pat which is NOT the case. We're saying ravens as a TEAM, the oline won't be able to hold that dline. Linebackers will do what they've done, I think the players aside from mahomes and lamar win the game.
Of course you should be concerned. The Chiefs beat Buffalo's 3rd string defense by 3 points. One less mistake by Buffalo's offense and we would be talking about the Bills vs Ravens.
Boi 38-6 lmao I'm not even a Chiefs fan, but nobody prepares better for a playoff game than them. Andy Reid not about to let that happen. Chiefs gonna win
But it wasn't "disrespectful and ridiculous" for Nick (Mahomes' personal ball-washer) to pick the Ravens to miss the playoffs and then pick them to lose last week? Man,what a tool.
@@michaelduncan242 The ONLY Chief I even mentioned was Mahomes and I only suggested that he has clean balls. Perhaps you have a different tale to tell? Does he have dirty balls? And if so,how do you know?

Its well within anybodies rights to think Baltimore will win, but can we stop with the terrible narrative that the Chiefs are having a bad season?
A QB has to win 2 super bowls while Mahomes is competing for Super Bowls. If Lamar wins this year he would be one away from becoming a real rival. But if the Chiefs comeback next year and win it all he is still behind. That's my line. Someone needs to show consistent dominance for me to say they are a rival to Mahomes.
I mean even if he gets one for real he’ll already be considered mahomes only competition seriously going forward of all the young QBs. He HAS to win this Super Bowl he cannot get there and lose we’ve seen that. But he has the regular season accolades and if he wins he’ll be the only young qb to get one while going through Mahomes
@@vsioljones2549 You convinced me. If he wins this year he is a rival but he must stay close to Mahommes in Rings and begin a tradition of taking the AFC. If Mahommes team falls off then it wouldn't be a rivalry for a sadder reason of their time has pasted.
Ravens fan here. Mahomes is so decorated that if he does all that, lamar is still kinda a whole level behind him. Mahomes is 2 levels over everyone else rn, and lamar would be the next best with a sb win

The gap between the teams is too wide. Mahomes’s greatness stops them from being down by 20 something during the game. It’s not going push them over the edge.
11:56 got me thinking about how Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow, Herbert, Trevor, Cj, & Josh Allen are all in the AFC at the same time. There’s never been a more stacked QB era than this one. & Mahomes is dominating it. Even back when Brady, Peyton, Roethlisbergr, & Rivers were in their heyday, Brees was Top 5 & in a whole other conference w/ Favre & Aaron Rodgers. Ben & Rivers were both closer to Eli Manning to begin with. & I haven’t even brought up NFC QBs today

There is not Brady-Manning rivalry with Mahomes. He's both Brady and Manning with postseason success and the stats. At best somebody is looking to be at outlier like Ben Roethlisberger or Aaron Rodgers.
Two key points never get brought up in these discussions: 1. Mahomes is making conference championships and super bows while his salary is drastically impacts the team's cap thus limiting free agent signings 2. Mahomes is continuing to win while the team continues to draft last or near least each round It's one thing to win conference championships and super bowls, but doing that while carrying an elite QB's salary is next level. Chiefs also haven't had the luxury of drafting at positions where you're more likely to find NFL ready difference makers to fill needs (like the Ravens did with Kyle Hamilton at #14).

Looking ahead to the future though, I don't think Mahomes will have only 1 rival. There's too much parity in the league and too many great quarterbacks and teams, especially in the AFC.

Two thoughts on the Chiefs defense:
And you don't think the Bills were missing a plethora of injured players too? It goes both ways.

Fair enough on the first point. For the 2nd part... lol, they sure are gonna "swallow" Pacheco and Kelce, thanks for the prediction. @@SapphicSteph

@@ForsakenWar I don’t need to “check the stats again”. Chiefs offense is mid. The ravens defense is elite. They’ve choked out better offenses all season including last week. And the ravens offense is better than the bills at everything the bills did to have success against the chiefs and there is no aj klein to pick on on the other side.
Nick has a right to be frustrated. He's been right when it has come to the chiefs for 6 years and people still act like he doesn't know what he's talking about.
There is not Brady-Manning rivalry with Mahomes. He's both Brady and Manning with postseason success and the stats. At best somebody is looking to be at outlier like Ben Roethlisberger or Aaron Rodgers.
Two key points never get brought up in these discussions:
1. Mahomes is making conference championships and super bows while his salary is drastically impacts the team's cap thus limiting free agent signings
2. Mahomes is continuing to win while the team continues to draft last or near least each round
It's one thing to win conference championships and super bowls, but doing that while carrying an elite QB's salary is next level. Chiefs also haven't had the luxury of drafting at positions where you're more likely to find NFL ready difference makers to fill needs (like the Ravens did with Kyle Hamilton at #14).
