Top 5 for me are the following - PDMG 737 800 / A2A Comanche 250 / Flying Iron Mk IX Spitfire / Airbus A320 Neo and can't leave out the Cessna 152 and 172 as they were the planes i learned the basics on.Thanks for the flight lessons Huddison.
Flying with the 146 now...first flight with MSFS also...these BAe 146's used to fly out of Memphis International Airport all the time, operated by Northwest Airlines. What an amazing aircraft to fly, very fun and detailed.
Great List!!! Glad this X-boxer has three of your current top five :o) One aircraft that isn't going to be on anyone's top five list, but should be on everyone's honorable mention list, is the ICON A5. What a great little sports-craft to fly for local site seeing in the sim. The fact that it's low and slow is perfect for this. It can land on water and very short strips, even city streets! My niece with zero flying experience (sim or otherwise) wanted to try MSFS on my Xbox. I set her up with this aircraft, giving her some very basic instruction on how to operate the ICON, set her up in her home town, then left for about 30 minutes or so to walk my dog. When I came back she had toured her home town, flew over many landmarks which she recognized from the air, and landed with no problem. What fun!
My favorites are probably the AV-8B (In VMF513 skin because that was my last squadron when I was in the Marines, so it is a sentimental choice). Going into heavy CPU load airspace, I probably use the C-172 the most. I used to be half partner in a C-172 back in the 80s and I really enjoyed it. The F-18 is probably the best of these (I have never flown or been in an F-18 but I just love the realism of it). The Caravan is the one I like for bush work and the Bonanza is for cross country and IFR.
My favourites: Twin - Flysimware C414; amphibious - Aerosoft SeaRey Elite; GA piston - Just Flight Warrior II; GA jet - FlightFX Vision Jet; historic - Flying Iron Spitfire Mk IX; military - Just Flight Hawk; overall favourite: Black Square TBM 850. And that 7th choice completes my top 5. 😉 (My twin might change if I get one of the Black Square Dukes when they're released. Also, I've heard Heatblur Simulations' F-14 Tomcat is fantastic. Honourable mentions would go to Miltech's Osprey and the Just Flight Turbo Arrow III which I also really enjoy flying.) One thing to note for anyone thinking of buying the Vision Jet: It'll be included as one of the default aircraft in MSFS 2024. If you are thinking of getting that sim, it might be best to wait as you'll then get the jet free.
@@Huddison I saw it in the announcements section of FlightFX's Discord, then Jörg of Microsoft confirmed it in a live stream (and I think he said they'd stop selling the jet in the MSFS Marketplace around September). I don't know how to feel about it - I love the VJ and will have got a few months of being able to fly it before the release of MSFS2024; however, if I'd chosen to buy the Honda Jet from FlightFX, I could have enjoyed that until MSFS2024 came out and then effectively had two VLJs for the price of one. In MSFSAddons, they said, 'Interestingly, Jörg also said that there are more of these partnerships with third parties for the creation of the default MSFS 2024 airplanes. He said the team’s goal this time will be to give simmers “payware-quality” aircraft that they can choose from the get-go, with significant improvements over the average default aircraft quality included when MSFS 2020 was launched.' Although that sounds very positive, it makes me wary of buying any more addons before the new sim comes out, in case what I buy becomes a default aircraft which I would then have got free-of-charge.
My picks are: Single GA - Cessna 182 RG Twin GA - Cessna 337 (but Cessna 414 coming on fast) Jet - Vision Jet Commercial - ATR Commercial Alt - Dash 7 or Britten Norman Islander
PDMG 737s are in a league of their own - it actually saves the FMS programming as well when saving mid-flight. I know of no other MSFS plane, pay-ware or otherwise that does this. I cannot stress enough how useful this feature for someone who likes to repeatedly practice flight landing procedures or just have to leave a simulation to continue some other time.
Excellent picks. I don't own the Spitfire. I would also had the SR22 with it's improvements on the last update and more to come soon. I love the customized G1000 in the cockpit.
In no particular order; Cessna 208B Caravan, Cessna 172, Beechcraft King Air 350i, Cessna Citation CJ4, AVRO Vulcan. Special mention goes to the TBM 850.
I fly using an Xbox S and Turtle Beach V1 Flightstick. I tend to lean toward glass cockpit aircraft, so here you go (not in order): Airbus A320neo, Cessna Citation CJ4, Sting S4, Van's RV-10, Kitfox. The more aircraft you fly, the more challenging it is to keep proficiency, so the only other craft I have in the hangar is the F35, which I rarely fly.
As of today: I only have my top 3. I got to get out more on different aircraft... (I just gotta get out more period LOL) Cessna 172 (my starter plane), Cessna 182T SKYLane(No RG but has G1000), Beechcraft Bonanza G36.... James that Vison Jet interests me. I want start getting into jets and that might be the route to go.... Small and compact...
Good choices. I'd still pick the Flying Iron Spit over the AH version. The FI version has had a lot of updates and it's much more challenging to fly. I noticed that you didn't mention the A2A Comanche. In my opinion it's the best GA aircraft in the sim, bar none. Nothing comes close to the levels of detail it goes into. We haven't seen much of A2A in MSFS unfortunately, but they have always been widely regarded as being the "PMDG" of GA aviation. My favourite airliner is the Fenix A320. And the last update has put it head and shoulders above anything PMDG have given us in my opinion.
This is difficult to narrow down. Just Flight Hawk T1, Just Flight Turbo Arrow IV, Flying Iron Spitfire, Blackbird Simulations Cessna 310r, Flying Iron BF-109.
I have great fun with the 182RG (purchased after watching one of your videos), I like the ATR 42, The DR400 (I remember flying it for my PPL a long time ago), The Carenado P34T and the Taog's Hangar Allouette III. I had to put a helicopter in!
I just got the spitfire, however for the life of me I can’t get the parking brake released. My favorite now is the fenix a320, just flight Fokker, and pmdg 737, and A2A Comanche!
Im only interested in GA aircraft and following real world rules wherever possible, nearly always in the Uk, my favourite planes seem to be the ones that are immersive, great sound and suited to the sort of flying I could feasibly do in real life. Blackbox bulldog, if this was the only aircraft in game I would still be happy Cessna 152/172 with the sound updates - the sound adds so much immersion Just Flight piper arrow 3 Bn2 Islander, I do wish it was a little more complex though Finally the Beaver, again a bit simple, but you do feel like you are there The A2A commanche will surely make it's way into my top 5 when i get it and eventually I'll work my way up to the ATR
Your choices are a great example of what I mentioned in this video's intro: ask 100 people - you'll get (probably) 100 different answers. Thanks for your own feedback.
For my top 5, I would say the vision jet, Antonov An-225 Mriya, FBW a320, pmdg 737-800, and the fenix a320 which I love the most! I’m more of a commercial pilot but do like vfr from time to time
@@Huddison Thankyou! They really are amazing! And yeah I’ve never learnt the 225, only put it up in the sky and went from there. It would take me weeks to learn 😂

The C-172 would be in my top 10 for sure.

It is one of the very best in MSFS currently.

Fair play. I prefer the interactivity of the 146 Pro; but it's all preference of course ;)
At onetime the BEA 146 was the only Jet allowed to land at Huddison International EGLC due to its quietness.
It must've been a glorious sight.

Good one to buy and fly Bob; lots to learn but not too difficult to.
A2A Commanche, BAe 146, Hawk T1, FSR 500, Cessna 414
A man of great tastes.
my favs are pmdg777/kuro 787 bae 146 and cirrus vision

1. Flying Iron Spitfire. 2. Tiger Moth. 3. Blackwing. 4. Kitfox stage 2. 5. Caribou 6. Deimos Griffin

Fenix A320, iniBuilds A300, PMDG 737, Black Square TBM 850, ATR 72

How do you repair a bent propeller in the Aeroplane Heaven MK1 Spitfire?
Not something I've had to do as yet, so not certain.
@@Huddison I do it all the time when landing so tend to not fly it for weeks on end. Can’t find anything online or in manual other than restart.
@@hughrooney6933 There may not be an option to repair it Hugh.
I'll try to remember to investigate next time I fly it.
