This is my first attempt at reading the Bible. I am reading it from Genesis to Revelations. I read 5 chapters a day. NLT and NKJV. Pray for me to endure 🙂💓
🙏
it is such an amazing journey, keep praying through it! God will surely grow your interest and endurance
I will , I will!!!!
I will pray
Yeah, it's a good habit. I'm also practicing this, reading and praying while drinking coffee. Love to connect with you. God bless your journey.
Wow! Just in time, I just finished my first reading of the whole bible!
@Cindy Smith Thanks! It took me about a year, but thats because I am a bit of a slow reader 😅
Same!:)
Wowwww you go girl!! That’s such a blessing 💕💕💕
@@bellagilbs that is pretty fast if you ask me!!
@Cindy Smith good job Cindy!!!!
I have read the bible through before, some days I would read and other days I would listen to the audio bible.
I want to do it again, I have always wondered why I tried to hurry through it. We shouldn't just read the bible to say, "oh I have read the whole bible!"
We should study it and really dig deep into it and not just read it to say that we have read the whole thing.
Thank you for sharing this Taylor!!
this is so trueeee🙌🏾 taking our time to understand is the way to go
Amen to that! For some reason there is such a pull to read the Bible just to say we've done it... It is best to read it for the Lord and your relationship with Him alone! I'm right with yah!
I have never read a whole bible before and you did it twice sis🥰
I am motivated.
💀💀 same
we are to read the Bible daily morning and night to be in GOD’s Presence and to glorify HIM, having HIS Word on our hearts.
JESUS CHRIST is the Way and the Truth and the Life. (john 14:6). the LORD JESUS CHRIST came unto the earth in the likeness of man and HE took the lowly position of a bondservant (philippians 2:7), not to be served, but to serve, and to give HIS Life as a Ransom for many (matthew 20:28). we are not saved because of our own goodness/works, since no one is good (morally perfect), except One, that is, GOD (mark 10:18), but we are saved by the unmerited love and favor of the LORD through faith in HIM and what HE did for us alone (ephesians 2:4-5). every man is given all he needs to live a Godly life through the knowledge of the LORD (2 peter 1:3). each and every one of us must confess of our sins to the FATHER, we must repent (acts 20:21), and we must strive to live our lives all to the glory of GOD in every aspect (1 corinthians 10:31). if we confess our sins, GOD is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 john 1:9).
@adriana starr i read the bible everyday and i still havent read the whole bible yet
Yessss! Be motivated sista!! I like that 'If she can do this, I can do this' attitude!! God bless, love.
I'm sorry if I'm bothering, but can you do a video on how to get back to God (largely from barely spending time with him every week because of internet addiction)?
Yes I would like a video on that too. Thanks for suggesting
This is an amazing idea.... I relate a lot to the struggle of feeling like my internet usage is getting in the way of my relationship with God.
read the Scriptures and be in consistent prayer. you must set your heart and hour soul to seek the LORD your GOD.

@@coffeeandbibletime Well, I kind of forgot to mention that everytime I do read my Bible, I get a heavy feeling in my head seconds or minutes in reading.
I'm reading the bible again (second time) and I'm observing things that I didn't notice before.
I'm just saying to all who doesn't know this, that being a Christian is not a religion it's an relationship with God. If you say your a Christian and not have a relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ then your really not a Christian.
Absolutely correct!
Amen! to that
How though?
It’s so refreshing to see that you’re not a King James onlyist ❤️🙏🏽
If people are worried about KJV, language etc just read NKJV- it’s perfect because it is the most similar to the KJV version, BUT the language is perfectly understandable👌🏻

By the way, you were talking about study notes already in the Bible. I would 100% recommend a filament Bible. You scans each page on your phone. And it has all kinds of stuff (study notes, infographics, interactive maps) . Yet if just want to read the Bible you can.
You should do a flip through of your bible from this year at college. Ooh or a side by side of your first bible when you went through it to the second.
Last fall I started a 90 day Bible reading plan. It was intense, but I really enjoyed it! Sadly, I got about two months into it and had to stop. So it ended up being I read the Old Testament in two months. I stopped because I was too exhausted from my pregnancy, taking care of my 1 year old, and moving into a new house. But I plan on trying again at some point, probably with a new Bible as I have had my current one for 20 years.
Thank you I realized that I really should read the Bible more often. May God bless you!
~Greetings from Germany
Greetings to you as well!! ☺️

Oh my goodness, you look beautiful in that thumbnail!!
Agreed! She looks so good in white! I have always felt jealous of people who look good in white! I don't look so great in that color😭😭
awwww thanks heheheheheheheh🙈🙈🙈🙈
I went from NIV to NLT to knvj. And I was shocked how I understand it lot easier then NIV
I am working on reading through the bible for the first time. I am excited to start reading the bible through again next year! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing!😆
I read through my bible last year...first time ever!! I’m trying to study the whole Bible now in two years(not like deep study but focusing on the Word more than just reading through)
For me, reading the Bible is not just “learning about God” though that is happening. It is the main way I spend time with Him. I respond to natural prayer prompts, praising Him, thanking Him, or petitioning Him based on what I’m reading. I am using an NIV but plan to switch as well. I use a highlighting guide that I created, that are all action items: yellow=do this, blue=avoid this, purple=research this (if I don’t understand or want to dive deeper), green=pray this. I do experience reading the Bible emotionally and feel closer to God when I’m doing it, but it is also intellectual, where I am learning, and I seek to put what I learn into practice.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
The motivation i needed to read the bible through again.
I am currently reading the Bible for the 1st time...in the Old testament 2 Kings book... I am taking my time and so loving it ...So many things make sense now..
Love Coffee and Bible time RUclips videos xox ❤❤❤
Hello girls, i'm Brazilian 🇧🇷 and i LOVE só much your videos, you inspire me to be everything I want to be with God! thank you for your yes and for making a channel as special and wonderful as this one!
I completed Bible three time and my sister completed six times.
Woah
I love this Taylor! You are so articulate and full of wisdom. Love your walk and deep love with The Lord. You’re going to be an amazing wife when that time comes
Everytime I watch one of y'all's videos, I really get inspired to pick up my Bible.. Thanks
I used a children's bible first time I read it. from the beginning. I'm 55 and now I'm reading the kjv now
I'm reading the bible book by book rather then cover to cover. So basically I just choose which book I want to read and then when I am done with it I put a check mark next to it. I just started reading the book of Judges this morning. It's pretty interesting.😃
I definitely recommend a chronological Bible too that helps you understand the context of the passages and books so easily. The one I love is the nlt illustrated chronological study Bible
I've read the Bible several times through. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend a Chronological reading of the Bible. It puts everything in context for you. Nehemiah is placed early in the book canonically but chronologically it would be read much later in the life of the Jewish church. It's been a huge help. I'm not sure I'd read through the Bible any other way again... although I also do studies of individual books or themes. (I do both types each year)
Loved it
Thank you!
Yay, I've been waiting for another upload 😊🙌❤
I didn't know you could speed up the audio bible. That's so helpful!! Thank you!!
I also really enjoy your content and meditate on your bible.
I’ve been watching CBT for over a year now & let me just say that I see so much growth in both of you. Especially you, Taylor ❤️

I love reading my Bible so much. I learn so much with every verse. I love my Life Application Study Bible and I recommend it because of the scripture explanations in it...wonderful and so helpful! I'm old school so I love the King James and the New King James versions of the Bible.
such a good, unique video!! super helpful! I just love how the Bible never gets old! no matter how many times you read it, you learn something new each time!
I love the idea of highlighting just the main points/ideas so you can easily reference. I read through chronologically for the first time last year also with a commentary & I loved that! This year I've read through Psalms, studied Esther & now am working through a study on Joy.😊
Hi hi! I subbed to your channel and the vlog channel not too long ago and I love the way you two encourage your audience!
What’s funny is that yesterday I started a Bible plan of reading the whole Bible in a year, cuz deep down I feel guilty for not reading the whole Bible. With this video, I feel encouraged to keep on reading and digging deep into the Bible, the more I dig deep into it with the devotional, the more I understand it! The good thing I like about that plan, is that they give explanation of what each chapter from Old and New Testament is actually about! And I agree with listening to the audio while reading scripture, I tend to have more information on my head than reading it in my mind. I’m more of auditory learner in some cases, such as reading. Visual in some other areas.
I like this video a lot and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store! I’m very glad that I found you both in my RUclips recommendations! 💖💖
wow that is so cool that we showed up in your RUclips recommended!! Thank you for sharing this Angelica!! God is going to work through your quiet times my friend! I hope that you find your quiet time to be a place of rest and retreat instead of guilt!❤️❤️
@@coffeeandbibletime You’re welcome! Thanks so much for the encouragement!! 💖💖
I just finished my first time too and man was I proud and excited🤩🙌🏻👌🏻
I’m starting the new testament and are currently in Mark:))
Nice job Elize!!!!☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️
When you're reading the NIV or ESV versions, you're reading from corrupt manuscripts called the Alexandrian manuscripts and Codex Vaticanus. These versions also are missing many verses. I use mainly the KJV. I also recommend the NKJV. I graduated from Altoona Bible Institute. We only used the KJV. I keep an NIV for reference only.
Thank you I'm just finishing the list time n you're right I been having dreams n visions n have grown so closer n so thankful !🙏👑❤🐑🦁👰💍
Thank you for this. God bless you
You are super beautiful! I love the advice of NOT reading with study notes and allowing Holy Spirit to reveal the Word to you. THX SO MUCH FOR SHARING & THE BOOST TO MAKE ME GET OUT OF THIS BED & GO STUDY NOW!! 11:00PM🤪🤭🤗
I use a color coding system to highlight and annotate in my Bible 📖
Thanks for your comparison. It really goes to show that we get something different each time we read the word.
I’ve recently learned the NIV has many missing verses which I find unnerving. My church reads from the NIV but I read NKJV mostly and use KjV and AMP in addition but I’ve also found profound differences in those too. Not as many as in NIV though.
For example John 5:4 is missing from NIV. In Isaiah 9:3 there is s serious discrepancy between the KJV, NKJV and NIV. See if you can spot it.
Try finding these in the NIV:-
Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14.
Mark 7:16; 9:44; 9:46; 11:26; 15:28.
Luke 17:36; 23:17; John 5:4.
Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29.
Romans 16:24 and 1 John 5:7.
I’m not even scratching the surface. There is much more missing from the NIV. We have to ask why it’s watered down and take into account Revelation 22:18-19 says:
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Please look into this yourselves and be aware we cannot conform to a watered down bible.
Totally agree with your cautionary advice! The reason for the differences is that different Greek texts were used for the translations. KJV and NKJV were translated from a text family of which there are many ancient copies that have been preserved. Some of them are complete New Testaments. NIV and most other modern translations are based on a more critical text, put together of fragments of different manuscripts. The justification for that is that those fragments are older. However some of them were discovered in the waste basket of an ancient monastery, where we can assume they ended up for a good reason.
Something that's been more recently rediscovered is differences between our Old Testament and the one that was used and quoted by the early church (including Christ and the apostles themselves). You can easily see this by carefully looking up the New Testament quotations of the Old Testament in the Old Testament. In a lot of cases there isn't a significant difference, but there are verses that are missing details in the Old Testament that the arguments in the New Testament are dependent on... That I also find unnerving. I hope as time goes on, this older Old Testament will be rediscovered more and that God would lead people to put together a complete, easy to read, faithful translation of His entire inspired Word. So far the only one I've found that has that older text for the Old Testament and the reliable text for the New Testament is the Orthodox Study Bible, which I'm very hesitant to fully endorse - Not a fan of the icons scattered throughout and I'd rather not use a study bible.
The way you said bye at the end🤣
Girl you and I have a very similar journey! I am almost fully through for the second time! I changed versions too (NLT/CSB). I read it cover to cover because, to me, I can follow the story of it better. I also listen as I read and sometimes will go on a walk and read! I am contemplating reading it through one more time in English before reading it in Spanish or I might read it in Spanish next...still thinking about it. You and I did it an oposite way-I read it in one year the first time and a little over 2 years the second time. First time I had no notes, second time I had study notes! Love that you and I had very similar methods!
This was absolutely amazing and really encouraged me in my bible reading journey! You guys are doing an incredible work with this channel and God's using it to impact and encourage so many people! 🙌🙏 Praying you guys keep this up for YEARS to come! 🥰

I loved this so much!! God blesss
I have loved reading God's word chronologically. I'm using an ESV and taking notes for myself as well as referencing a study Bible. Have you done a proper name study? Most names are significant to the text. God bless you 😇
Saying Hi and thank you from the Philippines ❤ this is soooo helpful!

You should really try reading in Chronological order.
It gives a much clearer and accurate mental picture of how history transpired.
It makes so much more sense than reading it out of order!
Hi sweet girls! Could y'all do a video on different ways you both drink your coffee. I'm tired of my traditional creamer and sugar and your coffee always looks delicious! 😁
I loved this video!! ❤ So grateful for what you all bring to this channel. Are there any translations you avoid? I see so much back and forth about this and wonder how you feel about it.
Love your videos
Looking so cute Tay.
So cute your make up Taylor
I’m starting a mapping class this next time I read the Bible, were starting in ACTS.
Wow!!! That is so cool!
First point: I did switched the translation the second time I read my Bible. I told myself to get a new Bible because there were no room for notes and drawing on it. I switched from the NLT to CSB.
Second point: I am jumping from a book in the New Testament to the book in the Old Testament. I am still new to Bible reading and I am struggling into how to read it and soak all of the information in.
*I do need help and advice with how to read my Bible and I’m glad I saw this!
Hi Autumn!!! Thanks for this comment! You are doing awesome my friend!! Believe me you are not alone in seeking advice on how to read the Bible! I am right there with you😆😆😆
Hi
Could you advise me on how you did your summary?
Literally just started reading the Bible in the NIV. I read a lot of books, but the Bible is a new one. Do people literally just read it over and over and over again? I tend to do this with other books but the Bible? 🙏
I just got done reading about half of the bible, going to take it slower this year with only 5 or 6 books and see if maybe I can try again next year!
we should read the Bible morning and night, being in GOD’s Presence daily, having HIS Word on our hearts. :)
May I ask if you all believe in The infilling of the Holy Spirit ? And Baptism in Jesus Name?
