I just got back from Mexico and I found a food truck on the beach serving mahi mahi tacos, so after eating the 6 best tacos I’ve ever had I knew I needed to make them at home
Great recipe! Thanks Malcom. I cooked it this way 3 years ago and will be camping at the beach this summer and will repeat it. The greatest thing about this food is sharing it.
This literally works for all the common fish fillets: cod, sea bass; etc. Pellet grills, too. I set to 350 on my Recteq 590 and do everything else Malcolm does and the fish is always perfect in tacos or over rice.
Holy smokes!! Great recipe and grill method for mahi-mahi tacos. You've got this meskin grinnin' from ear-to-ear! Just bought some mahi-mahi from Costco yesterday. Gonna try this today. Thanks for the time and energy you put into this video to share with us. Muchas Gracias, Amigo!!
I have cooked this with grilled pineapple and mango salsa and it is excellent!!! I’ve also made it as mahi tacos. If you follow the instructions I promise your tastebuds will thank you!!!! Thank you very much Malcolm for the recipes, you can make me feel like I can actually cook something better than a restaurant!!!
Thank you so much for this video!! It aged well and is still helping people! God bless you my friend. We eating good tonight! Very helpful! I appreciate it!🎚️🤙🏼
This is awesome! You are one of the few people I now know that actually use a charcoal grill like me. That’s the only way to grill as far as I’m concerned😊
Thank you for the recipe. I had a generic non-taco recipe for mahi mahi that used lemons. Had I saw this first would of bought limes but followed your recipe using the lemons anyways. Came out spot on very nice!!!
Just made this. Can confirm it tastes amazing. Thickness of the fish may require twice the amount of time on a regular grill, and you may want to double up on your glaze and possibly reduce the amount of cumin to less than a quarter teaspoon. 9.5/10.
Malcom, awesome job on the Fish Tacos.just made some shrimp tacos, but really gotta try the Mahi Mahi.how would you compare the Grill Grates vs. the Craycort cast iron grill ?? I have the Craycort. Thanks ,Cris
Hey Malcom I know this is an old video but brother I love all of your videos but if you haven’t reeled in a Mahi-mahi you are truly missing out on a great experience they are such a thrill to catch.
Malcom That was great! I can hardly wait to try them. People will be lined up around the corner at Kroger getting those fillets! Another great idea and recipe!
malcom we just watched your video was impressed.i have seen other videos but yours sounds much better then others thanks for sharing your video.i hope I can find this again.
Malcolm, I have been looking for a good fish taco recipe and this is it, brother! Thanks for posting, Ill have to look for your newsletter to get the details. Yummmah! Thanks again.
Listen brother! Your a God when it come to the cooking game. I literally just made these and my wife’s family went nuts. I’m literally slumped in the coach in a food coma having my girl feed me even though I’m out😎😍🇺🇸
What do you think about a fish competition for BBQ competition, just to add another level to the BBQ.... I think this would be an awesome comp for those that are not the standard BBQ eaters....and add another challenge to competition BBQ......
Whats the recipe to make those pickled red onions? Also did the mixed cabbage come like that or did you mix it together yourself, if so please share. I absolutely love fish tacos. Thanks for the recipe and the video.
Rob M I bought the cabbage mix just like that - it came in a salad bag. The pickled onions are: 1 red onion thinly sliced3/4 cup Cider Vinegar3 Tabelspoon SugarPinch SaltPinch Ground Black PepperPinch Crushed Red PepperBring Vinegar, Sugar, and seasonings to boil. Add red onion and cook for 30 seconds.Remove from heat and allow to cool. Place in jar and refrigerate for up to a month.
Dang good although mine was a little different. Key point here for me Is a most people overcook seafood and that leads to people not liking it. The cooking window is way different than pork beef chicken etc. Usually I pull my seafood off at 125-130f.
Dang, these look good! Especially that pickled red onion part, I was not expecting that. I think I'll make these this coming weekend. Nice cook, brother!
Nice recepie, the mahi came out great despite my crappy grill. It's too bad my Kroger is lazy and sells "skinned mahi fillets" with the skin still on them.

Thank you for the recipe. I had a generic non-taco recipe for mahi mahi that used lemons. Had I saw this first would of bought limes but followed your recipe using the lemons anyways. Came out spot on very nice!!!
This guy knows his stuff. In my humble opinion.
One of the best videos on seasoning mahi mahi fish thanks man!!
Just made this. Can confirm it tastes amazing. Thickness of the fish may require twice the amount of time on a regular grill, and you may want to double up on your glaze and possibly reduce the amount of cumin to less than a quarter teaspoon. 9.5/10.

If you were to do this on a pellet grill(I have pitboss lockart) what temp and how long? They look awesome, picking some up tomorrow!
Great recipe...Just curious, how do you think it would come out if i smoked rather than grilled?? If so, what temp/time would you recommend?
Good stuff. I brought back a mess of Vermilion Snapper and Trigger Fish from the gulf a couple weeks ago. I may try that fish taco recipe with those.
Dayum, those mahi tacos looked awesome ! Gotta try it ;)
thanks again, my bbq has gotten so much better!
Looks good and you are right: the lime will cook it--if you wait a bit longer that "cooking" makes caviche which people like too
Jmichael Isbell I'd love a great recipe for that!
Malcolm, I have been looking for a good fish taco recipe and this is it, brother! Thanks for posting, Ill have to look for your newsletter to get the details. Yummmah! Thanks again.

making this in 2 hours, I trust this man with my BBQ over any little chicks wearing tight fit clothing giving out cooking advice over the internet!
Listen brother! Your a God when it come to the cooking game. I literally just made these and my wife’s family went nuts. I’m literally slumped in the coach in a food coma having my girl feed me even though I’m out😎😍🇺🇸
