The question of 'how did you stay focused in your career as a lot of other child actors have gone off the rails?' Was a question and answer that moved me because I rode in an elevator once with Shia, it was just him and I. We were two kids at the Beverly Hecht agency. I remember him asking me 'what's wrong with your dad?' At the time I kind of pretended I didn't know what he was talking about but that's because I was acting out of fear and did not want to mention the issue. My dad was an angry tyrant many times, Shia saw this. I remember coffee being thrown at the windshield once driving 90 miles an hour on the freeway on the way to the set. It was rather stressful, and his view on my father made it clear that others might be thinking the same thing, which I believe ultimately ended up with my situation as an actor being jeopardized. During the #imsorry piece I got in my van in the bay area the night I heard about it because I only had one day to make it, but there was so much dense fog and I was falling asleep at the wheel, I also had a torn ACL in my right knee and heard when I woke up that the lines took hours, and couldn't be standing for very long. I would have loved to see him but just couldn't make it. If you happen to see this Shia please shoot me a message.
this is so deep. in a time where people are so intrested in social media. public interaction becomes almost nonexistant. what they are doing is so great
The ending was fricking amazing, and should be done more in our society. I understand exactly what Shia is talking about when he expresses himself about the awkwardness of these situations and everyone being or trying to be "politically correct." I hate when I go somewhere, and people have these expectations and other ways of acting different or not quite being themselves around other people or crowds. I think we all put on a facade and do not take their mask off around others because they are scared to speak like Shia is speaking now. Break the walls of fear down by all means. It keeps society sick. I can relate absolutely with this man. Just do it already. You said that you were going to do it yesterday, now it's today, quit waiting, and just do it!
I pray at night when I’m scared, even though science tells me there is no god. But I still pray. I don’t know why, but I still do. No I don’t believe in him/her/it but I still do.
Interesting how the trio on stage seemed to be looking for a kind of natural conversation between them and the audience but turned out to be some confusion from the audience regarding that.. like it wasn’t clicking to them that it wasn’t some sort of lecture or seminar where you listen and take notes more something you feel with the speakers that was intended to transcend speaker listener dynamic and create something organic from that experience, in the form of art. Like it’s vulnerability in the form of art, what you create from that vulnerability, for Shia I felt it wasn’t just emotion but what it means to him not to just mope around and run his mouth about feelings but how we share that unspoken thing. It would’ve been great to hear more questions regarding his work and him as a person since he connects in different levels of himself not in just a one dimensional way. Which is what you get a lot of in that industry he’s in, also says a lot about people in that educational climate where realness is so alien when confronted with it you’re suddenly speechless and reduced to this vague understanding of self and what it means to be human. I mean Shia really attacks you with it, who you are and why people do what they do.. he’s real it’s just hard for people living in this materialistic world to be on board with

If you've had trauma in your childhood the brain wires up differently, you can feel completely disconnected no matter how many people are around you. You just feel separate. Talking from experience here. It's a horrible thing and I feel for him.
I think it aligns with his comment on often his interactions are a "take" Being in the position he is in there would always be that underlying doubt of peoples intentions within any relationship. Another reason he allows himself to be vulnerable within his art being that he remains guarded outside of it. Leading to his sense on loneliness. This is not something completely exclusive to celebrity of course, which is why I think he asks the audience.

Shia says he hates political art and would never do that. A few months later he started #hewouldnotdivideus I think what he should have said was that until it hits him hard enough, its not his passion to proceed in that. When it became his reality as well as the worlds, it became important to him. Love Shia and his work.
Understand why he said it though. I think that states how carefull and precise you have to be on a public stage as Labeouf. Gotta love Shia for putting himself out there, with his truth :)

Caring, loving. He's lucky. Frankly. He made it out with his sanity in tact.
I find this video beautiful and truly romantic. Simply the video file existing. Human and harmonic. No masks were worn here. Sincerity and wisdom are the things the creator is pleased in. I pray such forth dimensional ways are obvious. We exist in a misted reality it is what we do through this cloud that will determine where we land.
Damn. I think I just fell in love with the woman who asked the question @ 50:30. She is not only gorgeous but also seems to be sincere, sweet, and tender. Wanting to give back, when others are taking....🥰

Shia, he just looks like this is all surreal for him. Almost like it's scaring him. Just look at his eyes, they look like they are tearing up the entire time.
My opinion of using hashtags is that it is much like using a "channel" number-if you were to want to watch a TV show (say, American Horror Story) you would know what channel to go to in order to watch it. With hashtags today, people can search what ever "channel" they want on any social media site, use the # in front of whatever "show" they want to see. It's the modern TV channel guide, basically.
This whole thing works because Shia is involved. The other two people, though I'm sure they provide a lot behind the scenes, are irrelevant. No one there, I'm sure, really cares what they have to say.
Shia, I feel the same about everything you say! don't let the vast population of ordinary people make you feel less extraordinary. Wish i could meet you!! also check out Bill burr's podcast - he might inspire your sense of humor. It's 1 of the only thing i look forward to during the week.
48:40 - I think he means society art. For some people politic art, means art which commentates on the link between society and the system or "the man". 50:40 - good twist 53:55 ROFL!!
"of course yeah like there's always sexism everywhere so that's kind of like a given thing." the poignant question asked actually shed light on the interesting chemistry in this trio or "tribe" (as shia called it) when it came to gender. when asked if it's something they three would look to speak on in their artwork, the lady said she would do more in her personal work. so much had been said in what was not said.

+provenelk As a child actor, and also knowing Shia I can say that while he was a kid he wasn't raised in a traditional school setting, he had studio school with a stage teacher that was hired for him, he did not have a standard education they just assign homework to us and only have to be in that classroom setting for 2-3 hours a day, so all ;mandatory reading would not be required as it was for most people who have gone to regular school. Usually the required reading was whatever we wanted to read. Likewise he says that he doesn't like political artwork so he wouldn't of picked that book in the first place.
+P Wam I can understand how he may not have read it, but to have never even heard of it... It's not like it's exclusive to classrooms. George Orwell is an extraordinarily famous writer. I'm not blaming the guy, it's just weird.
My question to Shia: Since he describes art as anything that moves you... "If I took a poo on the ground, would you perceive it as art, and would you see it as good art or bad art? In what way would that move you." (Not being an a**hole by the way, Id really like to hear his answer.)
Those whole conversation seemed super awkward and you could tell Shia was not into it at all, he just wanted to hang out and shoot the shit. These people asking questions... man are you people missing the whole point of what those 3 are trying to do, it's a social experiment.

Just an amazing chat. Thank you.
I freakin love shia
He’s smart & he’s been threw some shit.
😍😍😍
Shia says he hates political art and would never do that. A few months later he started #hewouldnotdivideus I think what he should have said was that until it hits him hard enough, its not his passion to proceed in that. When it became his reality as well as the worlds, it became important to him. Love Shia and his work.
Understand why he said it though. I think that states how carefull and precise you have to be on a public stage as Labeouf. Gotta love Shia for putting himself out there, with his truth :)
that girl took the q & a to the a new place!
The girl who goes up on stage just annoys me. Type of person to ask if there's any homework just before class finishes.
+Jonathan O I'm slightly jealous of how self assured she is
Same
she was really nice tho and already showed signs of a future leader. Theres a reason they all clapped for her. She was very professional and likeable imo
Your profile picture bounces when I scroll up and down on my phone
13:48. The silence was for our future selves. He took a new direction. And only a new direction. He's ahead of his time. We all are. Wish I could've talked to him. I tuned in for as much as I could while it was streaming on RUclips. Social media is the last thing I have or would want. Personally. Hope he's staying humble. He seems to have 2 rational friends. Caring, loving. He's lucky. Frankly. He made it out with his sanity in tact.
SHIA
Frodo lives in the shia
i cannot handle luke turner, i just wish it was shia & ronnko & the host
I find this video beautiful and truly romantic. Simply the video file existing. Human and harmonic. No masks were worn here. Sincerity and wisdom are the things the creator is pleased in. I pray such forth dimensional ways are obvious. We exist in a misted reality it is what we do through this cloud that will determine where we land.
He has really nice legs.
Damn. I think I just fell in love with the woman who asked the question @ 50:30. She is not only gorgeous but also seems to be sincere, sweet, and tender. Wanting to give back, when others are taking....🥰
nobody is asking him the right questions ...
regardless he doesn't have any answers
Which are?
Maybles Labels ok kanye
"The apologies although sincere, were not being received in a sincere way. We're all raised on South Park sometime it's really hard to catch sincerity we're just not accustomed to it" xx
23:10 love that girls question, it's really good and kind of breaks down the facade of the whole event
and i love shia lebouf, but it was just a very nice perspective
Damn I didn't think that was gonna be that interesting cool
JUST DO IT!!!!!! MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!!!!!!!
This whole thing works because Shia is involved. The other two people, though I'm sure they provide a lot behind the scenes, are irrelevant. No one there, I'm sure, really cares what they have to say.
Shia and friend are revolutionists
You want to know why Shia went crazy look at who he surrounded himself with
very late response, i just saw this - you're spot on, shia is on a different wavelength from these people completely.
This was really interesting #elevate
shia.................... i know
+Levi Barros You.. now.. wow.
You are the One
Levi Take a woke
JUST THINK DEEPER!
50:40 - good twist
53:55 ROFL!!
I’m feel’n the woman that got up their and sat down, it is perfect. She good.
/cam2
"of course yeah like there's always sexism everywhere so that's kind of like a given thing." the poignant question asked actually shed light on the interesting chemistry in this trio or "tribe" (as shia called it) when it came to gender. when asked if it's something they three would look to speak on in their artwork, the lady said she would do more in her personal work. so much had been said in what was not said.
54:00 lol is she for real? jaja i loved stuart`s 'come and sit here' jajaja
Shias soul died a little when the transformers question came....
53:55 best part damnn shia smart asf 😂
BRO ANIMAL FARM!? "im not an academic", fuck I never thought I'd criticize shia, he is fucking amazing, but animal farm..
i see a Michigan sweater.
Go Blue!
I'm chasing Ghosts.
My Elevator Question is
*"What NEXT?"*
Turner cannot put a sentence together..
i would have so many questions about even stevens...
xFedd same.
What's it mean when I'm a Trump supporter but I loved this discussion and what Shai is doing but Shai says that I'm not one of the people that would have come into the elevator? I would have loved to.
you are an idiot, verbatim regardless of your warped comprehension in that skull of yours, even at new college here your type in Oxford is ridiculously mocked and even by the elite.
Trump 2020
This was actually really cool.
The girl that took the stage is super beautiful.
Nobody asked him about his film work in regards to Bay or Spielberg. I guess intellectuals don't watch bad movies.
I will not be as forgiving as the rest of this comment section... "JUST...DO IT!!!!!!!!!" "DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE JUST DREAMS!" "YESTERDAY YOU SAID TOMORROW!!!".... "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!" "DOOO IITTTT"
"Hanging on by the skin of my teeth. oh wait ... " haha !! :D
Shia has balls..When he said he had a sad solution to being caught for plagiarism, did he mean committing suicide??
Probably booze/drugs from what i understood but i'm not fluent in English so i could be wrong
How many other people yawned?
SHIA Youre Doin The Best You Can With What Freedom You Do Have...With Saying That I Would Love To Sit In On This.... Knowing Real TRUTH Of This World And Its SYSTEM Can Bring A Man To The Breaking Point.
But Once You Rise Above The LIES Given To Us By Our "Elitest Entities" Than Youre Free And You Still Have A Soul!!.
Really surprised that Shia hasn't heard of Animal Farm
It depens on the person, ART is ART to those that perceive it to be. Those that don't, will never see it any other way
Shia. Did you ever figure out what that saying means? "Hanging on by the skin of my teeth." I think I know what it means...
Those whole conversation seemed super awkward and you could tell Shia was not into it at all, he just wanted to hang out and shoot the shit. These people asking questions... man are you people missing the whole point of what those 3 are trying to do, it's a social experiment.
man he needs to sue disney
bring deaf people together !
and blind too descripting
oxford palpitation
i hadn't seen the difference until now !
who are the people next to shia
I too find it depressing to think of God in the alternative beautifully spoken Shia.
I find this comment depressing he would as well
They all seem very content with the lack of diversity. Maybe thats ideal?
What elevator are they talking about??
Hey, isn't that the guy who was divided?
why is Shia unenergetic so much lately... it's like he got into the grunge scene and became..
Maybe you didn't hear the talk properly, just because he isn't something you want him to be
Political artist: Adrian Kenyon #whenyouknowyouknow 😘 #banksy #rachelweisz #snl #beyonce #leadership #gladiators #power #politics ...its a more common game than you think.
Why is there a homeless woman, a club goer from the 70s and a washed up movie star in the oldest debating society ever conceived?
fuck off. good to have something other than an old, elite, rich fart talking about his successes.
+sakiTF2 too true buddy!!
sakiTF2 Retards really have taken over Oxford if that's the mentality they're trying to encourage.
+Brandon Watch the damn interview. Shia admits to them being outsiders 4:55 in. Quit trolling
+Brandon
Because they don't believe in free speech and have become the Last Bastion of Free BS.
52:45 So she interrupted the panel conversation with the artists/guests to change the power dynamics during a Q&A? Then the President gave up his chair to please her? SMH
The ONLY real and interesting person in that room (Shia) and it SHOWS!!!
Can someone translate in Spanish pleaseee I am so interested. I can’t find any app to translate it or any platform
That would be so good man, i'm no that good to do it though :')
I feel the place was not for Shia, he was sort of uncomfortable, he is a rather wild one, untamed.
hahahahaha. "idk it just feels awkward"
56:47 unless you can smoke in here I guess that dude right from the middle is out
just a guy figuring things out, and is open.
Rocky start but ended pretty well
Thanks for HWNDU, Shia..praise kek!
Wait Shia was in oxford where the fuck was i
Who are the other two individuals?
