Used to work at a gun store and so many people didn’t know the first thing about handling a gun while actively buying one (the range had a few cases of people managing to explode their own guns from misuse). But for the prop gun idea, they make laser cartridges/bullet shaped objects you insert into your actual gun and when you fire your gun the hammer hits a button on the back of the laser that fires the laser. Very low chance anyone sees this comment but sounded similar.

It's WILD how stunt performers are treated in Hollywood, considering they have one of the most dangerous jobs. Our campus (for OBVIOUS reasons) didn't allow us to have real guns, but we had replicas, and the amount of paperwork and permitting the students and staff have to do just to rent one out from the prop office is crazy, but I was so grateful for it knowing that those safety measures were taken. I do agree with Bob, it's crazy that they use real guns on sets when it would be very easy to make realistic replicas like the ones we used in film school.

It's actually widely distributed medical advice for GERD and acid reflux. Also, you don't want to use baking soda too often. If you use it too regularly then you can encounter a condition called metabolic alkalosis and you're unnecessarily increasing your sodium intake. Tums, or calcium bicarbonate, is better for you than baking soda but still has the same issue of metabolic alkalosis if you rely on it too heavily. A much better way of handling that is to take a proton pump inhibitor because that reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces without affecting the alkalinity or adding additional sodium to your diet.

The problem that bob pointed out on sets is that movie firearms are meant to be and most typically are handled exclusively by armorer's. Almost like a prop master but dealing exclusively in firearm's for film sets, they are responsible for making sure the firearms are clear for use.

they already make electric and gasblowback prop guns with lights in teh barrel. alot of people use it for lignhting tracer bbs for plinking. but u can just take out the diode and wire in a led to emite on press between 2 switches. pretty easy project

The first twelve minutes or so is exactly why Alec Baldwin should have went to prison. If you're an actor on set with firearms, and the supplier and the prop master failed to make sure that theres no real bullets on set, the actor is the last line of safety. If i was a director and i saw any one using the blank fire guns like toys, their off the set. Actors need to know basic gun safety and how to spot an actual bullet and blank. They need to know what theyre looking for and they need to know the four basic rules of gun safety. 1: never aim the gun at anything you're not willing to destroy. 2: keep your finger off the triger until you're ready to shoot. 3: Know your target and what's behind it. 4: treat every fire arm like it's loaded.
Hey Wade, I also have bad acid reflux issues, sprinkle a pinch of baking soda into a tall drinking glass. Fill the glass about a quarter of the way with water and stir vigorously. And drink that and it can help in emergency situations
