Coming from a Cajun family myself, I think Chris Potter and Rick Pasqualone's accents are the most accurate.

As someone from New Orleans, as well as a huge Gambit fan, Potter nailed it perfectly. He will always be the voice of Gambit in my eyes. Pasqualone does a wonderful job as well, close to Potter when it comes to capturing the character as well as the accent.

Being from Nawlins dont mean you know what a real Cajun sounds like. And none of these guys really sound like a real Cajun. They all sounded like Adam Sandler on Water Boy.

My favorite Gambit line "I like solitare OK unless I got someone...to play wit." Chris Potter is by far THE BEST hands down.
I agree with you on that. I felt right at home with that line, Chris Potter nailed the Cajun accent, perfectly take it from a Cajun girl like myself.

Chris Potter remains my favorite. It wasn't just the accent he got right but the voice acting itself was the best.
Of course, I love Chris Potter; he was the original Gambit. However, I do think Tony Daniels and Scott Macdonald add a dark, husky timbre to his voice that make it unbelievably sexy-hypnotic even.

Despite the possible inaccuracy, I really like Alessandro Juliani's take on him. There's a form of sophistication on that tone.

Chris Potter. Who does not have the Cajun accent naturally. But Potter is the best. I don't know if any of the other men have any Cajun background personally. Is it so hard to find someone with a natural Cajun accent who can do the role?

You don't need someone with a "natural cajun accent" you just need to ACT like you do vocally and if you can't tell the difference between a authentic accent and a fake one, than it's a success for the actor which their job.
Which is the whole point of acting, pretending to be someone that you're not.

I liked Chris Potter, Alessandro Juliani , and Phil Lamarr probably because I grew up on those voices. Honestly, they shold give actor Michael Raymond James a chance to voice Gambit. He did a pretty good cajun accent in the first season of True Blood.

Chris Potter and Alessandro Juliani. The X-Men:Evo voice practically kills me, even if the show is now-hard to believe-18 years old!! It's just so deep and velvety sounding and I like that it doesn't have the thick Cajun drawl even if others don't like it/don't get it. I will not forgive fanfic writers who to this day continue to write him with the thickest accent possible. That's not who the character was, for cripes sake! Chris Potter's is hot too, obviously. You can see (hear?) why they picked Taylor Kitsch as the first Gambit because he has the look and the deep, smexy timber. Mentally I've been comparing it to rumbling thunder. (I've been anticipating him in Waco.) Mmm! Last thing, the dude at the end wasn't hot, but he got the accent spot on. Okay, enough rambling. Thanks for reading.

Taylor Kitsch played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. Honestly regardless of that mediocre film, he's hands down the best live action Gambit than Channing Tatum, no offense to him though. It'd be nice if he were to be the one to reprise as Gambit for the Gambit standalone film if they ever reconsider making it.

Chris Potter for sure. However, A. J. LoCascio does a fantastic impression of Potter's Gambit specifically on X-Men '97. Which is funny, as later in the season Chris Potter will return to the show but as Cable this time.

I'm surprised how consistent the tone for gambit has been throughout the years. I never heard any of the actors after the first 2. They all did their best to imitate Potter and Daniels.
