One thing I've learnt in my 50 years is that if I have a Bucket List for books, then that bucket better be filled with fantastic books! XD haha ;-p Life is too short for bullsh&t books, Jodie! 📚📚📚
Hi Jodie! I'm just starting my Booktube channel, and I just wanted to say that you are a huge inspiration to me!!! I love your videos and the calm and joy that they bring me.💜 It always brightens my day.😊
📕 sometimes it’s good to have a clear out isn’t it. I agree with you, if buying books makes you happy then go for it, we only have one life and we have to enjoy it….I love buying books too. Take care Jodie xx
Hi Jodi. The Snow Child is one of my top 5* books. It was magical. It's about hope and I love books set in cold countries. It's not fantasy but has an element of romance. Thank you the videos ❤ x
An unhaul is so satisfying, to have your shelves filled with books that you love or looking forward to reading ♡ 100% agree Addie LaRue is chef's kiss perfection
I think you can still get rid of annotated books, some people love those! You could promote an annotated book for your followers to buy or you can just do a giveaway. Many of your subscribers probably wouldn’t mind reading your thoughts lol
i love the set up! the black shelves are gorgeous. i don't unhaul as such but i do periodically scan my shelves to see if there are books im holding onto knowing i have lost interest the last hours books most recently.
It's SO hard to get rid of books you got on vacation, or at a certain place. But at the end of the day, you don't need the book to remember the time I guess 😅 I do like the Curse So Dark and Lonely series. Ooh I didn't know you met your partner at the bookstore!! Was he working there, or a customer? I didn't know he read!
i know right i form an attachment to them LOL and no sadly we didn't meet there i just associate that trip with him because i just find it crazy how at the time i had no idea i would meet my partner in the same city LOL ♡
Unless I have a specific sentimental attachment I only keep the books I would reread/are a new absolute favourite as I only want to own the books I love (it's also all I have space for!). I don't unhaul much though as in general I read books on ku or from the library and then buy a copy if I want to reread.
I unhaul when my bookshelves are full. I can't have more bookshelves at the moment so if I need more space, then I need to unhaul (even if I haven't read the books on them). I started unhauling when I first moved out of my parents' home and I've continued doing so every time I've moved. Now that I have limited space, I have to make it work with what I have. I also try to be more careful with my purchasing too. I don't have an easy way to get rid of books so it's a bit of a hassle too if I don't want them anymore. Thank goodness I don't live near a bookshop because otherwise, it would be a real nightmare 😅
Camilla Bruce wrote Let Me In which was such a weird and creepy book that involved fairies and now I want to read all of her books. Triflers Need Not Apply (titles In the Garden of Spite here in the US) is one I hope to get to soon!
I recently purchased the unbroken from illumicrate in their past books sale and it never showed up so they refunded my order- too bad I had already purchased their edition of the second book. So now I have half of a set. I wish I could buy your copy!
Yep all for the growth unhauls and hauls are therapy, I have unpopular opinions as well about favored books, I’m sure your shelves are expressing more of you
Great Video Jodie and I absolutely loved the Curse Breaker Series by Bridget Kemmerer I’m so sorry you didn’t feel like continuing it because it was an actual really fun series and yes it’s just 3 books 📚 in the main series but there’s another spin-off book from the series that follows new characters and when I saw it I immediately grabbed it Lol 😂 I can’t wait to dive into it but atm I’m ready Naomi Novik’s Uprooted and listening via audiobook and so far I’m loving it and can’t wait to read Spinning Silver too 📖 Have a Wonderful Day and can’t wait for your next video 😊 And I’ve also read A Master Of One and it was ok not my favorite so I get why you are unhauling it
Hi! What is the name and color of your lipstick? I can't help but notice how beautiful it looks on you! Btw I loved this video. I need to do my own unhaul as well!
I’ll get around to watching in the evening but do you use pangobooks? Idk if it’s only used in the US or what the shipping rate is for international shipments but it’s an option
@@carolinesconcertvids860 I mean at least you guys have depop tho and other apps to sell books according to other UK RUclipsrs I’ve watched. But yeah pangobooks is specific to books only
I also did not like shadow and bone trilogy nor did I like the six of crows duology too much but I LOVE Merciful Crow. I don’t think I’d say it’s too close to six of crows but that’s just me.
shop my vinted here for books 📓✨🌷

Does this app deliver to the US? I had to click that I lived in UK just to be able to see your shop.
@@wendyvilla2904 no it’s UK only unfortunately ❤️🩹
@jodie awe okay thanks. 🖤💚
Girl, if you want to buy books and it brings you a little bit of joy in this messed up world, DO IT! Life is too short.
100% Yes!
YESSSS!!
I agree!! I buy books rather than clothes!! I need to do an unhaul but cant bring myself to do it. Lol!

Hey! Congrats on starting your channel I wish you the best of luck with it!
You go girl!! Books are life and it's yor life, your books and your money so you don't owe anyone any explanations or need to justify anything. ❤📚
I loved priory of the Orange tree. Yes its a chunker but it was worth it!

yes! It makes me feel so good! And yes so true!! you too ♡
Don't listen to other people, if you love buying books and it brings you peace and happiness then just continue being you. Heck the haters. 📖☕🌻
I have no idea why but I ADORE your unhaul videos every single time.
Unhauling is self growth! 🙌🏽 I've left soo many books that I will probably never read at my parents house, I really should unhaul them😆
YES!!! 2023 is the year of practicing growth via unhauls LOL.
Hi Jodi. The Snow Child is one of my top 5* books. It was magical. It's about hope and I love books set in cold countries. It's not fantasy but has an element of romance.
Thank you the videos ❤ x
The Snow Child is a beautiful read 🙂
Hey kelsey! Wow that does sound fun I am glad you enjoyed it! thanks for watching ♡ x

yes! I think for now i will donate them but a giveaway in the future is a great idea!
I have read the storm crow and it was okay so you made the right choice.

That copy of the River enchanted is so pretty 🥲
such a gorgeous cover!
Fully respect people looking for different things in books, but when you pulled up Priory I literally gasped along with the audio 😂😂😂
LOOOOL i know i would have hurt a lot of people with that one which is why i showed it last hehe ♡
I did that several times in this video 😂

thank you katie!!

📚 I have an unhaul once a year, tastes change and that is ok. Life really is too short to not buy what makes you happy if you have the money ❤❤❤ 📚📚
yes! exactly we are all constantly changing so it's only natural our book tastes may change a little too! ♡

I kind of agree about Interview with the Vampire 😭 The main reason I have it on my shelf is because I have a gorgeous copy I want to display
it makes me sooooo sad LOL
I would keep the final copy rather than the Arc!

glad i wasn't alone!
