      @@user-cr4sc1ht9t Really though you don't get paid much more as an engineer. Yes its more, but shockingly not as much as you'd think.
      I hear people insisting $20/hour isn't enough to flip burgers, and within months I could design a robot for cheap that would replace thousands of burger flippers in chain restaurants (fewer sick days, shows up when you want it, can work without smoke breaks, won't sneeze on your food, probes the patties with thermocouples for the most consistent burgers, won't be coming in smelling like weed, and pay for itself within a year). Considering I could save companies millions with a simple design, you'd think brilliant guys like that dude would get a quarter mil, but that's simply not the case.
      For reference, I was doing heavy military aircraft structure mod designs and was getting only $65k/year couple years ago in Texas. Design engineers are not paid all that amazing, unless you get into a high demand spot (like I am now) where the customer would be screwed if you were gone and then you have some leverage (I now make more than double what I did in Texas, but due to inflation and some higher taxes where I'm at the pay is still rather significant but its not like double what a good salesman would be)

      The same applies to normal belt-feds too. High rate of fire + lots of muzzle energy = you're almost always firing from the hip or prone.
      Machine gunner doctrine accounts for this, so anyone assigned to one isn't going to try to fire it like a rifle anyways.

    • @MPdude237
      @MPdude237 Год назад +8

      That’s what I was going to say. Nobody would get this if .338 was only a sniper round as it has been so far. .338 would be neat given that it does have some armor penetration capabilities (most light AFVs are rated for 7.62 AP minimum and there is no production body armor rated for .338 ATM.) and those big rounds would stop an engine faster than 7.62. Although it is not a full replacement for .50 BMG or 40mm, those light anti-materiel capabilities in the hands of GPMG guys and minigun users is definitely a big advantage, especially for a conventional conflict.

All the V280 has over the blackhawk in that regard is the likelihood due to spacing that one engine survives when the other is kaput. @@hambonesmithsonian8085 yes I did, I have come up with multiple ideas for guns and accessories in the last almost 20 years but haven't been able to get my ideas out before others, I have a 3d cad drawing of a bull pup design that I started working on in 2005 that was going to be multi caliber but then Desert tech came out with the MDR in 2014 which has a bunch of my ideas so there's no point in working on that one anymore. My idea for a minigun suppresor was more like a large can that would clamp into the end of the barrel cluster so it wouldn't require permanent modifications. It wasn't a very serious idea, not like I have access to a mingun but it was in the back of my head for several years now.

    Repeal the NFA. Repeal the Hughes Amendment.

    • @Cacowninja
      @Cacowninja Год назад +2

      I got a plan to get rid of the Hughes Amendment. It's got a couple different parts so bear with me.
      1. I think we need to go convince gun shops to boycott selling guns to the government including the military. Some gun companies have already started boycotting the police:
      Like Barrett
      This has to be expanded upon.
      2. Convince people to stop voting for anti-gun politicians. Ideally they should stop voting altogether since voting just doesn't work but they should at least stop voting for politicians that support gun control.
      If the politicians are out of office they can't run anti-gun laws anymore.
      3. Boycott gun businesses that support gun control like Machine Gun Vegas
      Ruger might be worth boycotting too like Ruger who supported magazine capacity limits.
      If a gun company supports gun control they ain't worth buying from.
      4. Raise awareness buy making videos and other material against the Hughes amendment. If gun activists would go to go shows and pass out pamphlets against the Hughes amendment and other crap maybe more people would do the things this list about it.
      5. Get more people into guns as a whole. If more people buy guns and use them for protection that would send the message that people are willing to hang on to them and not give them up.
      That's what I got for now.
