    Hey man great review, this is the main reason I purchased the BKB duo. I also got the Romp bash guards. I assume these replace the standard risers that come with the board and that you don't "stack" them. Can you confirm this? I'm going to start the build today. April 21/2021
    Thanks

      Confirmed ! Yes don't stack them. The Romp guard by itself is good 👍

    Hey quick question for you. I have the Duo and also bought the Blue 110 TB Wheels. Today I finally got around to putting the new TB wheels on. The belt seems to come over a bit to the very edge of the pulley. It's not really hanging over but right even with it. I took the inside washer off to try and give it a teeny bit more room. Did you find your belt was right up to the edge of the pulley?

    • @Esk8Tech
      @Esk8Tech  3 года назад

      Yes.This happened to me. It's a spacing issue.if spacers don't work You can slightly adjust your motor mounts till the belts are centered. It's ok if the belts are a little off. As long as the belts don't scrape anything

    Dude, just wanted you to know that I placed my order and used your coupon code, thanks for that! Took your advice and got everything I wanted at the start. I got every option except the kegel pulleys because they were out of stock. Hopefully I can snag them soon so I can run the torque board wheels you like. I got the v2 remote, flex 1 deck (I’m 140 pounds, hope it works ok at my weight), the belt guards, speed pulleys, the 48t pulley and even some shred lights. I’m so pumped! Anything else I should have gotten, or might want to do in the future? I want pretty much the best of the best on this board. Best trucks, best wheels, you name it. Thank you!

      Sweet brother and thanks for your support and feedback. Everything you mentioned looks good. I'd say after getting use to the build and Vesctool software the only thing left to upgrade is the ESC. You can try THE new XENITH SMART ESC. It'll provide more power and functionality. Roll to start, Auto shut off, and it's compatible with a ton of controllers and motors so you can again upgrade in the future. For now I'd suggest getting use to the build and Vesctool software. Also if you have any issues you can ask me or Jared who is the head guy at BKB. Hes awesome and will even get in on a Zoom call to help you troubleshoot 👍. BkB has awesome customer service so don't worry you're good. Please get some protective gear as this board is very powerful with the 15t motor pulleys and if you put the 20T motors pulleys on make sure you pick a clear road if you want to do speed runs. If you want to see some pics and videos of the Duo baord you can check out my instagram. Ride safe and enjoy 🤘😎🤙

      What speeds have you gotten with the 48T pulley? They have a chart on their site, and it looks like the 48T pulley isnt very good for speed. Insane torque I'd imagine, but with the 15T motor pulley, it does 23mph max, and with a 20T (they don't have it listed) I'd assume not much better, maybe 26-27?

    • @Esk8Tech
      @Esk8Tech  3 года назад

      Max speed with 48t wheel pulleys is 23 mph but the increase in torque feels really nice. It pulls way harder. If your over doing speed runs i would definitely recommend trying the 48t wheel pulleys. Power and torque over top speed . Also regarding the 20t pulleys it doesn't fit. Not enough room on the motor mounts to adjust belt tension. The 20t motor pulley is too big to pair with the 48t. You can try it though maybe I missed something.

      @@Esk8Tech ohhhh, is that why the 20T isnt listed with the 48T, because it doesn't fit? Makes sense. I'm personally more into the 20T + 40T, it goes 34 on the 97mm wheels, 37 on 105mm and the insane 40mph with 120mm wheels. The torque is still great, because of the 6000w the motors output

    • @Esk8Tech
      @Esk8Tech  3 года назад

      Yea I think it is why they don't have it listed. The 20t is too big and you'll notice the mounts don't have enough space. The 20ts are super fun though. I just prefer torque over the insane top rn. 🤙 ride safe brotha. I just crashed last week. Broken wrist, rib, and hyper extended elbow. Almost snapped my arm. 😁 still riding though

    I like this board a lot but I wish they had some sort of range upgrade with a bigger battery. I need something with around 20 to 30 miles.

    • @Esk8Tech
      @Esk8Tech  3 года назад

      The battery on the Duo Board gives around 20 miles. If you want range, take a look at the Verreal RS with 14.2 Ah Tesla battery. Gives 30-40 miles.

    • @BrokeSmokey
      @BrokeSmokey 3 года назад

      @@Esk8Tech That would be a good board but I'd like something that goes at least 30+ mph with that type of range.

      @@BrokeSmokey the Verreal RS actually can crack 30mph with 120 foamies. 👍

    Man I can’t decide between the flex 1 or 2 deck. I weigh 145 pounds and the exway flex is just about the perfect amount of flexiness for me. I want it to be stiff enough to be stable at high speeds but still flexy at my weight. Opinions on which I should go? Thank you!!!

    • @Esk8Tech
      @Esk8Tech  3 года назад

      If you like flex the Tru flex 1 deck might be good but in my opinion the Tru flex 2 has the perfect amount of stiffness and reflex but considering your 145 I think the flex 1 deck should do you justice. Can always upgrad decks later 👍. Remember you can always switch things up with the Duo. Btw, make sure you get everything you want on your board the first time. Also if you plan on upgrading motor pulleys, don't use locktite yet just make sure you tighten the little screw on the motor pulleys. You will see these instructions in the assembly guide. Use the locktite when you want a permanent set up. I made this mistake early on. I put locktite on everything and when it was time to take things apart it was a pain in the ass. just something to consider.

      @@Esk8Tech yep good tips. I’m getting pretty much everything at the start. The extra pulleys, the v2 remote, all that. Pretty much everything except all the wheels I want. I’m so stoked to put this together and ride! Thanks for all the help. Using your coupon code when I purchase this afternoon. I think I’ve finalized my plans now and settled on the flex 1 deck. Like you said I can always swap it out if need be. Thanks again!

      Sup. I'm 225. The level 1 deck looked way too flexy for my riding style. The level 2 deck is perfect amount of stiffness with nice rebound. 👍
