Wow! One of the best Elise video reviews I've seen! Chock full of details but clear and brief. Very nicely executed as well. I can tell you had fun doing it. Keep it up 👍👍😊

it's difficult to describe and explain how incredible to drive this car really is. one has to drive the car to fully experience what a thrill it is. there is no other car that drives like the elise.
I have an Elise , and it is literally stunning how much weight matters in a car. This car on paper looks weak but once you drive it its unbelievably fun ! I should make more videos of it too lol
Nice, love to hear other owners are driving them....fast! When I was looking for mine, it was a very difficult choice between Chrome Orange or Laser Blue. I drive mine daily as well....15,000 miles the past year and not letting up anytime soon :)
My sexy baby just got totaled on Monday. ... stupid bitch t-boned me. ...I am devastated to say the least! ! I bought her brand new in 2005 and had 109,000 miles on her. ....
Very good review Stradman.. I am 6'2 tall and considering buying one of these.. i actualy felt like i was in the cabin with you during this review, thank you..
This guy has no idea. I've had a 2006 Elise and now have a 2008 Exige S240, both of which I regularly take to the grocery store, drive whenever, and take on errands. Last night I bought groceries at Super G....7 bags and they all fit in the boot.
Yeah. Fully agree. My kids love getting picked up at school with my 2005 111R. I love driving it around town. Somehow though I always find a long way home.
"The aluminum engine block is derived from a Toyota Celica GT-S 2ZZ Engine." - On this model, the entire engine is Toyota 2ZZ. It has Lotus ECU. Later models were/are 1ZZ. Earlier are Rover K Series.
Damn you guys are giving the guy a hard time but it doesn't matter because the stradman is a baller and everyone has to start somewhere. I mean just look at where he's at now? He went from this to reviewing and driving some of the most amazing cars in the world. Haters don't know and never will.
It'd be impossible for a manufacturer to ever build a car like this again. If you want a pure, analog driving experience -- this is it. Though I disagree with him I've taken mine to the grocery store many times.
Actually the compartment of the Elise could probably fit 2-3 small children, or a duffle bag or a rucksack, some medium suit cases et c so you could definitely do your groceries with it unless you're prepping for a party… Other than that sweet 🍬 ride 👍, small and impractical, but sweet, especially when you give no f's about anything but driving, performance and handling, definitely an off the beaten track choice for Americans 😊
How is it driving without power steering I'm looking into this car but I'm a little worried because it would be my first car without power steering and I know some people are gonna hate but I'm willing to take the criticism.
+MrJopa74 I have driven 45000 miles in my 2006 Elise. The steering is fine, a tad heavy when manouvering, but not a problem. The big advantage of manual steering is that the car talks to you through the wheel - you really can feel the grip. Also car is very light, and ~65% of the weight is on the back wheels so stearing loads are low
Only 27 mpg on the highway? Is that at 100 mph? Some of the testing done in UK had the Elise doing more than 50 mpg - although that was with UK gallons, which are larger (4.5 litres compared with 3.8 for US)
+Mykhaylo Kosykh i think you have personal issues. this isn't suppose to be entertaining and make you feel warm and comfy. it's informative and very detailed. maybe when you fix up your insecurities and watch the whole vid, you might get something out of it.
Sounds like he's reading from cue cards lol. But good video and love the car. But seams like it needs bigger rims and tires , if they fit. Also super dark tinted windows would look dope on this car as well
Hey I am in the future about 6 years your main channel has about 2.6 million subscribers you are supper car shopping for a McLaren P1 or a Bugatti Veron congress on you success in your future much love.
I got a few of these and I'm selling my 2008 with basically an all new carbon and leather interior and there are carbon bits on the exterior and it is cherry red with black racing stripes. Has a custom exhaust. Custom stereo, and best part yet is only 15,568 miles and an upgraded engine out of a 2015 corvette c7 stingray. Also the top speed is 235 and 0-60 is 2.2. And it has 540 horse power. Selling for 20,000 over 120,000 invested contact me for details
muratisteinkeks I guess its a matter of opinion. 136 ft lbs of torque is really low, pretty much laughable. Torque is more important than HP. I am a straight line guy anyway
Well if your are straight line guy, this car is nothing for your taste. I get that :) I am from Austria (near Switzerland) and we have some really, really lovely mountain roads and I wish I had the opportunity of driving on of these here.
+headslo Im 6'2 and drive a Porsche Cayman, I fit perfectly. Ive also sat in this exact lotus and fit as well... its snug but it can work, even on track days with a helmet.
There are a few around, but its much harder to find em here, and of course more expensive because you can't just register one from the States like you can with most cars. The back trunk and passengers seat is enough for grocery shopping. Great review for a sexy car
+Faouri - yeah for like 1 person or 2. Not for a family of four. Just saying i love the car. I would have second car for errands and this one for fun
Been obsessed over the Lotus Elise since a kind man let me look over it when I was a child. It was a beautiful purple and was nice.
Can’t believe how far you’ve come mate look you just bought your own land 🤙🏻
I miss my Elise a lot. But I like my Elan too!
watching in 2019 because I'm about to purchase an elise. Crazy how far he's come.
EdVentures just got one. Super fun you should definitely get one!
You can hear the confidence he has now vs on this video...
Great job man keep up the good work, you deserve it 😁👍
U have changed so much by the years. Still love your videos
I have had a 2001 Elise for 10 years. I am 188cm - no problem. No repairs - only normal service. Very simple and very good car.
Do you think someone who is 194cm could fit? I have pretty long legs and was wondering
I didn't know about this channel till today

excellent review! Love the Elise.... love it.
I'd love to own an S1 Elise. They just keep getting more expensive every day though!
I'd rather own an S2 elise. The reliability of the toyota engine far surpasses the rover engine.
Elise S1 actually is quite good, I’ve owned a 111s s1 and haven’t had a single problem for 16k miles, still going strong
@@tomatodamashi Naa they Toyota engine is just as bad as the rover, the rover engine is far better suited to the car. But I agree S2 is better than s1
@@b.eduardo5105 That's why the toyota engines are still running strong, while the rover engines are swapped out for hondas..... okay
