S500 is still in pre production state. Production will begin at 2022 and probably last few years. I would predict that s500 will enter service somewhere around 2026-2030. Until then s400 is capable of defending any threat. Stealth technology is absolutely overrated. Russians have radars that detect baloons for kids that otherwise is invisible to any radar. No f35 or f22 is going to be undetected. It will be imediately found intercepted either with own jets or ground to air strike and goodbye f35.

They flew back and forth over the SAM's every night for a very long time, and none of them were able to engage them. They did not even dare turning their radars on for long each time because it painted them as target by the aircrafts. But, yes, one battery commander was lucky enough to get a propper lock on one of the F-117's as it opened its bomb bay doors as this messed up its stealth profile while being rather close to the battery. He fired 2x missiles and managed one miss and a strafe hit, damaging it enough to make it go down. Yes, this shows stealth is no magic. But neither is these Russian batteries. Not then, not today.

@@djokicadjokic6375 How is what I wrote wrong? Just watch the interview with the battery commander. He said they did not dare activation their radars for more than 20 sec each time because the US quickly engaged active radars. But, the Serbs did have some skill, intelligence, and they got lucky. The US stealth bombers flew the same routes back and forth over these batteries over and over, and probably relied a little to much on the technology, making it easier for the Serbs to plan a trap. And, this particular trap actually failed two times before they managed to shoot one down. The Serbs had discovered that using long range early warning radars set at the lowest bandwidth possible they could detect the F-117 at 25km, a very poor detection range given its 370km detection range on ordinary fighters. But, they did at least get some indications that the F-117 was on its way. They also had intelligence revealing that the Prowler electronic warfare birds ordinarily supporting the F-117 were grounded, and that the F-117s were going to fly regardless. This, paired with the US fighter’s tendency to fly the same routes over and over, enabled the Serbs to relocate their SAM's to an expected flight path and ready their systems for the next sortie. However, with the early warning radar they could just about detect that there was something in the air, but nothing more. To shoot it down they need a weapons grade track. For this they had to use the S-125 radar systems. The target acquisition C-band radar that usually detected aircraft out to about 240km could not see the F-117 at all, so they were left with the fire control radar that usually was used to guide the missiles to their target. They already had this radar pointed exactly at the expected patch of the F-117 when they got the notice from the early warning systems that the F-117 was on its way. And they activated this exactly at the right time to optimize any chance of a lock. But this time, just as the two previous attempts, they could not get a lock at all. However, now the lucky part comes into play. Because they knew the Prowlers were grounded, they decided that they could probably activate the radar once more, without risking being engaged themselves. Just as they activated the radar the second time, the F-117 was preparing to drop its ordinance, and his weapon bays were open exposing its easily detectable bomb bay interior. At this point the F-117 was only 8km away, and they fired at least two missiles at the aircraft. Another thing to point out is the fact that the F-117 has no actual radar or even missile warning systems activated, as the design required it being free of the necessary external components for such a system. So, the pilot had no warning systems cueing him that missiles had been fired his way, and only eventually saw the missiles heading straight at him. Of the two missiles fired the first actually buffeted the F-117 without detonating, most likely because its proximity trigger was unable to detect the aircraft. The second missile missed, but the proximity trigger did detect and detonate the missile causing fragment and blast damage crippling the aircraft ability to maneuver, forcing the pilot to eject. This is the fully disclosed and confirmed series of events leading up to the successful downing of a single F-117. There is no indications or proof what so ever that an B-2 was actually shot down. And, given the kill chain described above, the operational altitude of the B-2, the difference in operational procedures, the B-2’s much more capable stealth surfaces also deflecting lower band radar emissions, I find it highly unlikely that such an attack was even attempted.
The strategy to beat the s400 system is to remotely fly expendable throw-away air crafts into enemy territory. When fired upon this would reveal the location of the s400 system as well as the launch vehicles. Fly as many throw away aircrafts as it takes to deplete the enemies missile inventory.

The new anti radiation missile that the Northrop Grumman's Orbital ATK is developing is a must have in a F-35's inventory. This new missile called AARM-ER has a classified range and speed, but given that the current AARM has a range of over 150km and speed of over Mach 2, it's safe to say that the new missile will have the range outside the envelope non stealthy jets can be targeted, meaning over 300 km, and speeds of Mach 3 and above. These missiles for now will be loaded on Growlers which will be an incredibly deadly platform when they receive the NGJ or Next generation jammer pods. In the end, nobody knows how any of the advertised systems would work until they're combat tested. That's why we can say with certainty that Tomahawks work, JDAMS, Abrams, Javelin, etc... On the other hand stealth vs counter stealth technology was never tested against a near peer adversary. Their weapons manufacturers claim they can detect and track US stealth jets. Our defense companies and weapons designers claim that the Raptors and F-35s were specifically designed to counter advanced SAM systems. We can all bitch and moan in the comment sections of various internet sights, but any normal person would hope that we never get to a point where these highly advanced weapons systems go head to head.. In the end, if one side finds itself in a desperate situation where their conventional forces are beaten and the danger of unconditional surrender approaches, then nuclear weapons will fly and all bets are off. Then it won't matter if you have 50 or 200 B-21 Raider bombers or wheather you have S-400 or S-700 super duper system that can detect a fly on the other side of the Earth. Hundreds of millions will die within 20 minutes while the ones who survive will wish they've died instantly....

@@grndzro777 that doesnt really mean much, the thing about stealth is not to be invisible but to be hard to detect and to track, like yeah there are certain radars that can detect an f-35 but the hard part is not to detect it but to get it's specific location and then be able to get a target lock and guide the misile to it and destroy it, all of that is far harder than it looks Like maybe the SAM site can indeed detect the f-35, but if it can only detect it at 50 kilómeters which is less than the f-35s weapons range them there is a high posibility that by the time the aircraft is detected it has already completed it's mission, also maybe you can detect it but it's radar signature is soo tiny that it's really dificult to get a target lock on it, you only know "something is there in that general direction, idk what it is but it's there" without a weapons lock detection is useless because you can't engage the target, and maybe you launch a misiles but the misile radar fails to detect the f-35, or you manage to get a hit but it was a decoy, of the active protection systems of the f-35 fuck with the radar systems of the misile or the misile site and it fails to hit There are a lot of variables that just having a more powerful or better radar will not fix Also don't forget that capabilities are usually exagerated for propaganda reasons, the s400 has never proved itself against a stealth fighter for a reason, if it where to actually shot it down the reputation of stealth fighters as "invincible" aces of the sky would disapear but if the s400 where to fail to pick it's target and be destroyed then the reputation of it as the "stealth killer" air defense system would also disapear, and better not to test any of those theories
@@carso1500 That's the problem. F117/B2/F22/F35 are all completely visible to L band. It's how that 60's era system shot down an F117. They tuned the radar frequency. By it's nature L band isn't very accurate so several are needed to get an accurate lock. This means that the system is specifically designed to be networked, and use all angles. Protivnik has a low frequency range of 400 miles. F35 would probably be detected around 300 miles, and the new SU57 has L band integrated in the wings. Russia might have even better range than that with the newer systems. All they need is a semi accurate confirmation and they can send out the Vympel R-37M's On top of that Russia is ahead in EW systems. They disabled the Donald Cook with two large EW pods in 2014, and have ground based systems that can knock out low orbit satellites. Even if we fire a missile if the site is protected by Krasukha EW it won't reach the target. And that was in 2014. Russia has advanced a lot since then. And on top of ALL of that China is sharing it's Divine Eagle 2 drone tech with Russia. Those can detect stealth at long ranges. Don't take anything here as confrontational. @@grndzro777 thats not at all how the f117 was shot down, another guy wrote a full disclosure on how that happened and to be sincere i don't really want to rewrite it all But i can give a short resume The shot down of the f117 was basically pure luck and Bad strategy based on the united states, the soviet systems used where completly uncapable of tracking the stealth plane, they could kind of know that it was there but only at like at a 5 km range and getting a lockdown was imposible, the shot down was a combinations of factors like the airplane flying alone that day because it's escorts where grounded, that it was flying through the same path so they where prepared and in the área, and that just when they activated the radar the f117 had just opened up their bomb bay which reduces it's stealth capabilities, they threw two missiles both failed to get a lock down but one of them was lucky enough to just barely hit the plane and cause enough damage to force the pilot to eject Regardless to say the f117 flew for other 10 years going against similar systems and said incident was never repeated once on it's whole history, with the combination of factors that was basically a golden shot So no L band can't detect a stealth plane any more than any other radar, it's not some magic stealth killer, it requieres a lot of luck to pull something like that

I'm not reassured by this video, in fact, the opposite. The disparity between the capabilities in delivery vehicles and anti-missile defense between the US and Russia has become disturbingly great at this point.
Descent video, short, concise pretty much covers most of the major points. However, there is a difference between detecting the F35 and engaging it with a high quality track. F35 would probably launch it's weapons well out of their trackable range. It would ultimately be a matter of how many incoming missiles and bombs S400 could intercept, and who runs out of ammo first. Lastly, something to consider that makes things highly unquantifiable in this kind of scenario is that being able to datalink targeting information between nodes on both sides of the fight. That being possible could and will spawn some interesting tactics on both sides of the fight.
Yep. Each squad of 3-5 F35s will have an accompanying 3-5 Boeing drones flying with them. Meaning possibly 25 aircraft will be coming for these s400 installations. All it takes is one of these aircraft to hit the s400. Once that happens the F15, F16 and F18 all can come in and destroy any other infrastructure. The point of stealth has always been to destroy radar and anti aircraft infrastructure. Out 4th generation fighters are still superior in every way to stealth planes. They simply are too easy to detect and shoot down. However once the stealth destroys the ability to detect and shoot down aircraft then the 4th generation fighters can rain down hell upon the enemy.
US never wants Russia China India collaborate and unite in peace because they know Nato can't stand a chance infront Russia China India combined 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There is one critical flaw in this video's military situation. The situation is missing the fact that when Russians use missiles, they use multiple missiles at the same time similar to how Russian Battlecruiser Peter the Great uses its missiles. It will be just as difficult for multiple F35s to evade incoming S500 missiles as it would be difficult for Russians to hit the actual F35s rather than decoys and drones. F35 squadron's dilemma will be whether S500 batteries that just shot bunch of missiles are priority targets or the incoming supersonic and hypersonic missiles are higher priority. S500 batteries or incoming supersonic and hypersonic missiles. That decision must be made within minutes since hypersonic will reach decoys, drones and F35s in 2 to 3 minutes which is not enough time for F35 pilots brains to process. It can be overwhelming. Even if S500 batteries are hit and destroyed, here come the supersonic and especially hypersonic missiles. Not just a few but dozens of them. It will be suicidal for both Russian S500 battalion and F35 squadron.
The F-35 planes cannot confront the S-400 except in the case of wireless communication between them and the leadership and the rest of the supporting planes, but what will happen if the planes lose contact with each other?? Here, electronic warfare and jamming devices will play a big role, the Russians are not underestimated in this field
Well, jamming won't work because S400 has a feature called frequency jumping in split of the second and can expose aircraft or any jamming device defenceless. For now there's no way to evade the S400
Massively incorrect, just ask Israel. While yes it’s *difficult* to jam, not impossible. You also don’t have to jam the radar by using long range air to ground missiles, chaf and electronic warfare against the missile instead of the radar. The S-400’s massive weakness is the complex kill chain required to get that kill, stealth isn’t designed to be invisible, it’s designed to end one part of that kill chain
@@overlordgaming752 yes you can kill 8 billions people of the world with only a fork, if you could hold them. S400 designed to down stealth jets. It is in tactics which make difference, S400's options to do the job done is more than any stealth jet. Overall air defence effectiveness is more than stealth effectiveness. @Calamity "C400" organizationally included in a separate kind of troops, "army air and air and missile defense" is setentrional system and "C400" not only perform the role of target detection, how many play the role of the carrier rocket. Fun Fact: A veteran F-16 pilot, actually had a dog Fight with the F-35 jet in a training exercise and the F-16 won. Wouldn’t really trust an F-35, to get the job done, if an F-16 can be it, in a dog fight.
it's not that easy.. 200 meters before it hits the radar, there's an automatic blocker forming a huge explosion wall... even hypersonics are hard to penetrate...
The new radars don't care if there is stealth or not. They use wavelengths that pass through the stealth coating and bounce of internal metal parts. That's why their is a rush to include composites in military jets now. Stealth is not that useful anymore, was a good military industrial complex money spinner though.
@@dankepige Actually there is and it still is significantly important. The RCS of an aircraft determines absolute detection range. Though t is not a cloak of invisibility, air superiority not only depends on stealth using the plane's shape and radar absorbing materials, it also involves usage of superior countermeasures, state of the art sensors and electronic warfare capability. Combine it all in 1 airplane, the s-400 will have a very difficult time.

F-117 was shot down by a SAM designed in 1961... S-125 Neva/Pechora.. by a general using smart tactics.. comes down to operators
Bro the F117 was obsolete.
@@KjetilBalstad So wrong. We hit another one with S-125 Neva, but he mannaged to land in Bosnia. We even shot down B-2 Spirit of Missoury. Croatish firefighters are describe that they saw huge black objekt crashed in fire with no vertical surfaces. Then have come NATO soldiers and blocks the whole area. After that, US have staged crash od Spirit of Cansas using one of two test B2 they wasn't operational. After thet, they just switch sign on Spirit od Cansas in Spirit of Missoury and covered everything up.
@@KjetilBalstad This part is right. Other is wrong. But this 20 sec. were enought to shot them down.

This is a very honest, well informed and real analysis I have seen so far.
Hundreds of millions will die within 20 minutes while the ones who survive will wish they've died instantly....

wait what? where's the f-35 stealth capabilities? if it has to attack an s-400 flying low and then pull up to launch with gliding bombs with the risk of also being detected and get shot down by manpads missiles.
S400 has high power L band now. F35 would be detected early and either run into BVR missiles or be destroyed.
@@grndzro777 that doesnt really mean much, the thing about stealth is not to be invisible but to be hard to detect and to track, like yeah there are certain radars that can detect an f-35 but the hard part is not to detect it but to get it's specific location and then be able to get a target lock and guide the misile to it and destroy it, all of that is far harder than it looks
Like maybe the SAM site can indeed detect the f-35, but if it can only detect it at 50 kilómeters which is less than the f-35s weapons range them there is a high posibility that by the time the aircraft is detected it has already completed it's mission, also maybe you can detect it but it's radar signature is soo tiny that it's really dificult to get a target lock on it, you only know "something is there in that general direction, idk what it is but it's there" without a weapons lock detection is useless because you can't engage the target, and maybe you launch a misiles but the misile radar fails to detect the f-35, or you manage to get a hit but it was a decoy, of the active protection systems of the f-35 fuck with the radar systems of the misile or the misile site and it fails to hit
There are a lot of variables that just having a more powerful or better radar will not fix
Also don't forget that capabilities are usually exagerated for propaganda reasons, the s400 has never proved itself against a stealth fighter for a reason, if it where to actually shot it down the reputation of stealth fighters as "invincible" aces of the sky would disapear but if the s400 where to fail to pick it's target and be destroyed then the reputation of it as the "stealth killer" air defense system would also disapear, and better not to test any of those theories
All they need is a semi accurate confirmation and they can send out the Vympel R-37M's
On top of that Russia is ahead in EW systems.
I am really enjoying the conversation. You make a lot of really good points.
@@grndzro777 thats not at all how the f117 was shot down, another guy wrote a full disclosure on how that happened and to be sincere i don't really want to rewrite it all
But i can give a short resume
The shot down of the f117 was basically pure luck and Bad strategy based on the united states, the soviet systems used where completly uncapable of tracking the stealth plane, they could kind of know that it was there but only at like at a 5 km range and getting a lockdown was imposible, the shot down was a combinations of factors like the airplane flying alone that day because it's escorts where grounded, that it was flying through the same path so they where prepared and in the área, and that just when they activated the radar the f117 had just opened up their bomb bay which reduces it's stealth capabilities, they threw two missiles both failed to get a lock down but one of them was lucky enough to just barely hit the plane and cause enough damage to force the pilot to eject
Regardless to say the f117 flew for other 10 years going against similar systems and said incident was never repeated once on it's whole history, with the combination of factors that was basically a golden shot
So no L band can't detect a stealth plane any more than any other radar, it's not some magic stealth killer, it requieres a lot of luck to pull something like that
@@carso1500

Destroying an ordinary target doesn't worth loosing expensive jets
