would like more focus on the PanAmericana suspension setup, especially compared to the Wildrak. Appartly the PanAmericana has the most comfortable suspension, I would like to know if thats true.
Leaving aside trying to answer the plethora of questions you asked viewers to answer, a comment; great teaser in the video title - "The clone ranger". Awesome. Okay guys, now knock yourself out with your feedback regarding the ute.
I bought a Style and happy with it. Didn't like the blacked look of The Pan Americana, but and A Ventura is out of my price range. In New Zealand the Style isn't available with the v6.
Definitely something that's on the cards and we want to do, towing test we recently did however is for the LandCruiser! Any other cars you'd be interested in seeing us test?
Does it have a transfer case that offers low range, or is it like the first gen Amarok and have no low range for the auto transmission? Is the Australian Amarok sourced from VW's South African factory?
The new Amarok features low-range across the 4x4 range - essentially the same as the Ford ranger on which it's based, so that means there's also a 4x4 Auto setting on V6 models for use on sealed surfaces in addition for the 4x2, 4x4 high range and 4x4 low range found on the four-cylinder models. Cars for Australia are built at Ford's Silverton factory in South Africa and not built by Volkswagen, as part of the model sharing agreement between the two brands.
While some of the initial international images showed an available sunroof, for the moment the Amarok launches in Australia without one, either standard or as an option.
Embarrassing. Why copy? Couldn't they make their own staff? Think of it. You bought a new amarok and looks great. U open the hood only to find ford engine with Ford signature in the bay. 😭😭😭
rest of the world gave zero F's about Amarok, the largest market was Australia and sadly Australia alone can not justify spending anywhere up to $1 billion to design, develop ad then manufacture RHD built vehicles and then make it in LHD and try to sell it in markets where current Amarok failed. In fact the only reason why Amarok survives is because of Australia (and to a lessor extent South Africa) sales and the only option for VW was either go with Ford (what they have done), Toyota (never gonna happen due to BMW technical alliance between Toyota and BMW), or link up with another manufacturer and do some type of co-development, there was some talk that VW were in prelim talks with Isuzu before Mazda dumped Ford and linked up Isuzu and Nissan was never an option while Renault and Mitsubishi have there money/technical workings, so which company was left? the china brigade? never gonna happen in current climate, Mahindra? potentially could work but quality control would be the issue and lastly Hyundai/Kia but they have their own plans for the market space.
Good to see colours inside not boring black of the ranger

We will be testing those back to back and we will take a look at the suspension, good question! - Trent

No.

Good review. Thanks
Pan America but with the rear sail, roller shutter and interior from the Adventura. Or an Adventura with the 18” AT wheels.
will you be testing the towing? very interested to see how it goes

The pick of the range is the XLT.
I would like to buy the blue one vw ute I do like the brown one to
I reckon the Style with a V6 will be the one to get.
Good choice
Definitely the Pan, seem to get plenty of the nice bits and save some money.
Dose it come with a sunroof ?
While some of the initial international images showed an available sunroof, for the moment the Amarok launches in Australia without one, either standard or as an option.
Feels to ford...nothing wrong with that but that vw punch and vw feel are missing
Btw no disrespect towards ford. They build great vechiles
How does it go in the sand
Imagine if Ford put the Barra in the Ranger. Would it work ?
it could sort of work
Would hate to think what the fuel consumption and as such CO2 emissions are.
So I take it there is no Manual for this either?
there is its the base CORE model.
Yes there is like tgv said its the Core spec and its a 6-speed.
Quote from 2:04
" chance of it being mistaken from any other brand of dual cab..."
Could be just me, but they look like Holden Colorado's
In red and if you squint we can see it!
At least the mercedes x class v6 had their own engine!.
You are welcome
Thank you!
They should have learned a lesson when Mercedes copied the Navara platform.
They didn't copy though
It looks like a Renault.
A VW with Ford running gear, no thanks I'll spend my $$$ else where
Doodoo

Best part of this is the Audi derived 3L engine that Ford now try to pass off as their own.
Might be the case for the previous Amarok V6 but theres nothing Audi/VW about the Ford V6 Lion diesel engine in this new model.
Now both vw and ford is powered by Land Rover🤪
