Jess was told very early on to bring the drama in order for her and JoJo to stay on the show. If they didn’t bring it, they would have been kicked off like Sarah Reasons (select team and was in No Laughing Matter). Jess knew that JoJo could have been forced into storylines (feuds) with the kids that she would have no control over. Did Jess take it too far from time to time? Yes but here she is critiquing one element on a transition, she knows Brynn has the technique but Brynn early in the show did not have that performing/confidence/star factor personality that would get her far without the show’s success. Yes Brynn won the Dance Awards and had the technique but Brynn did not seem like she wanted to lead and had been typed cast as the ballerina/lyrical dancer that Abby made her out to be.

Brynn is good but doesn’t blow me away. She lacks stage presence and doesn’t tell the story. She’s boring to look at. Maddie, Chloe, Kalani even Nia are better performers than Brynn. She doesn’t give what is needed to tell the story. If she does that, she’ll be AMAZING but she was just a kid with good technique and good feet. Kendall lacks the same as well but has a bit more stage presence.
This is the stupidest comment I’ve ever read. The reality is that most of the kids on the elite team other than Kalani, don’t even come close to Brynn in terms of dance ability. She’s a winner of The Dance awards, the single hardest competition in the country. Her performance skills are great outside of the show, but unfortunately many of her solos weren’t very well thought through with lacklustre choreography, weak themes or bad music. Not to mention how Lifetime rigs the competitions to make certain dancers look better or worse than they are in reality.

Yeah as an entertainer, not a dancer. Most of Jojo’s work has to do with with performing and branding herself. Don’t get me wrong she can still dance pretty decently, but Brynn is training with a competitive dance team right now and has achieved a skill level far beyond Jojo’s. the reality is that Brynn would decimate Jojo in a head to head dance battle.
I still to this day don’t even know who’s worse in this situation. Ashlee totally started that but then it’s just how all the mother jumped on her and started criticising brynn, not critiquing. Jess went straight in and said that brynn’s transitions were terrible or whatever which you just don’t do if you want to maintain the high ground. They all became as bad as each other so quickly

Her performance skills are great outside of the show, but unfortunately many of her solos weren’t very well thought through with lacklustre choreography, weak themes or bad music. Not to mention how Lifetime rigs the competitions to make certain dancers look better or worse than they are in reality.

Yeah as an entertainer, not a dancer. Most of Jojo’s work has to do with with performing and branding herself. Don’t get me wrong she can still dance pretty decently, but Brynn is training with a competitive dance team right now and has achieved a skill level far beyond Jojo’s. the reality is that Brynn would decimate Jojo in a head to head dance battle.

I still to this day don’t even know who’s worse in this situation. Ashlee totally started that but then it’s just how all the mother jumped on her and started criticising brynn, not critiquing. Jess went straight in and said that brynn’s transitions were terrible or whatever which you just don’t do if you want to maintain the high ground. They all became as bad as each other so quickly
