They know but I think they often defend them out of instinct, denial, shame, etc. Also, it can be taken as an insult aimed at their parenting. Parents are naturally very defensive when it comes to their kids because theyre biased lol. In this situation, I think the fact they're on camera increases the impulse to shut it down because it can have huge consequences in terms of business/public image. Ashlee wasnt giving constructive criticism too, she just said that to insult Kendall and make Jill angry. I think I'd defend my kid too then talk about it with them privately. I think that’s because we have heard Jill’s side. She was nasty on camera, but she has said on Podcasts and was featured on Dance Moms uncovered that Jill actually likes Brynn and was only saying that stuff to create drama. I think off camera, Jill might have apologised to Brynn. But we have never heard anything on Ashlee as to whether her comments were just for the show or if she was sincere. But both moms would have started the drama so the kids stay out of the drama and forced storylines by the producers.

Ashlee wasn’t necessarily helping herself with the things she’d say but Jill wasn’t innocent either. Both Moms had their horrible moments towards the other and their child. It comes down to jealousy and a sense of entitlement (From Jill’s side since she thought she was more of an OG than others ofc and thought her little Kendall was the next Maddie). Every Mother will support and want the best for their child and that’s what they all did or tried doing. Remember we aren’t seeing the whole picture though and the video is edited in order in making one person look worse than the other. There’s 3 sides to a story. And from what I know, Ashlee also has a son with health conditions as well, but the thing point I’m saying is ALL of the mothers sacrificed something at home to be there with their kids so it’s not really a valid point in that fight. What Jill did was childish and she could’ve just said “we all gave up a lot.” Season 6 was terrible because of the Jill/Jessalyn/Ashlee showdown and it’s all because Jill was mad that Kendall didn’t automatically move into Maddie’s spot and brought Brynn on the team. Jill and Ashlee both talked trash about the other’s daughter. It got super nasty.

Ashlee wasn’t necessarily helping herself with the things she’d say but Jill wasn’t innocent either. Both Moms had their horrible moments towards the other and their child. It comes down to jealousy and a sense of entitlement (From Jill’s side since she thought she was more of an OG than others ofc and thought her little Kendall was the next Maddie). Every Mother will support and want the best for their child and that’s what they all did or tried doing. Remember we aren’t seeing the whole picture though and the video is edited in order in making one person look worse than the other. There’s 3 sides to a story. The 1st persons story n perspective, the 2nd persons story n perspective and then the Truth.
