Breda Ba-88 Lince

Il Breda Ba.88 "Lince" era un assaltatore bimotore prodotto dall'azienda italiana Società Italiana Ernesto Breda ed impiegato durante la seconda guerra mondiale dalla Regia Aeronautica. Dopo il suo esordio nel 1937, questo aereo stabilì diversi primati mondiali di velocità, mentre la sua linea estremamente aerodinamica e il carrello retrattile lo facevano apparire molto avanzato per i suoi tempi. Ma quando venne installato l'armamento, l'aumento di peso provocò gravi problemi di stabilità. Le prestazioni scadettero a tal punto che il "Lince" ben presto non poté essere più utilizzato in combattimento.
The Breda Ba.88 "Lince" was a twin-engine attack fighter produced by the Italian company Italian Society Ernesto Breda and used during the Second World War by the Regia Aeronautica. After its debut in 1937, this plane set several world speed records, while its extremely aerodynamic line and retractable landing gear made it appear very advanced for its time. But when the armament was installed, the increased weight caused serious stability problems. Performance deteriorated to such an extent that the "Lince" soon could no longer be used in combat.
