- In this Screen Tests interview, the star of the Emmy-nominated National Geographic TV series about Albert Einstein called "Genius", Johnny Flynn talks about his first audition and his first kiss, who eventually became his wife. The "Lovesick" (aka "Scrotal Recall") actor also reveals how he's been asked to be naked in a bunch of different roles, but one role, in particular, exposed him to very young onlookers.

I went into the movie thinking he wasn't that attractive and then I came out with an appreciation for his "unique beauty" as @astrologick says below/above.

His performance in Emma it's GENIUS. Since the start all sarcastic till the end completely madly in love, amazing performance, great actor 👏🏻👏🏻

That’s probably why he was so good in the role. Love Lovesick, I watch it again and again. So well written and amongst the comedy there are some very heartfelt moments. The actors who play Evie, Luke, Angus and Jonesy also very good.

Jane Austen would have been pleased with the cast. In her novels the obviously handsome men are always the brainless, heartless, negative characters who love nobody but themselves. In Mr Knightley case, his heart of gold and high intelligence are the quintessence of his beauty. Intelligent women fall for this type of men nowadays too.
Watch him in Vanity Fair, he's is a dorable I'm 74 and can still dream he is beautiful and I'm in love with him! Such a Hero!

Johnny Flynn is heartbreaking! There's something so pure n childishly trusting about him! There's a magic about him that u think u missed until u realize u have been staring at him 4 the past 3 hours! Loved him in Stardust! Incredible performance. I could not believe at certain angles, he looked like David Bowie which is impossible w those cheek bones! But I loved that film n have 2 mention Jenna Malone cause she was amazing! Johnny Flynn land more rolls cause some stars r definitely meant 2 b seen!

A Larum is one of my top fav albums. I saw him in 2009 when he had just asked his wife to marry him. Great show. Robert Pattinson was there. Wasn't until recently that I found out he is an actor & I've always wondered if having actor friends helped him get roles. Though his talent is obvious

I started watching Genius and was pleasantly shocked when I saw Johnny Flynn in the credits at the start of the first episode. I'd heard his song Einsteins idea about 7 years prior and it's one of my favorite songs. Very cool that he's so talented in both things. He was incredible as Einstein.

I listened to his first album all the time in 2008, I loved his music so much and it meant a lot to me.
Now it's 2023 and I watched the new Emma adaptation and Johnny Flynn is in it and he's such a great actor!!
