The four vocalists is BTOB have a performance of a song called To My Love on Immortal Song and all I can say is.... wOW
If you’re not a big fan of the rap verses, which I totally understand, you should check out the songs of BTOB’s vocal line: “When It Rains” and “Stand By Me”
They’re actually missing a member in this performance, the maknae aka the youngest I believe was injured during this time. So the vocal line had to cover his parts of the song in this performance. There’s actually 2 members in the vocal line that has naturally deep baritone vocals. They would alternate in singing harmonies, but when you hear them singing in solo songs or covers. You can hear how lovely their lower register are because sometimes as you said..they sing in their higher registers to fit certain songs. But I love hearing their lower register and they sound so smooth.
I recommend you watch BTOB’s vocal line on Immortal Song, they appeared a couple times in that show. They’re incredible!!! Also, they have a vocal sub-unit called BTOB BLUE and have music videos as well as performances. You should totally check them out!

the whole "kpop" industry doesn't revolve around just singing. just like how america has rappers also. a band is a band. they're all equally talented. PERIOD
To me the rap parts are really catchy and fun. And makes the song more enjoyable and not just a song for sad days
I actually recommend a group called Infinite. One of their members (Woohyun) got the highest score out of all idols in the history of Immortal Song with a performance of Last Promise. I will say that, in terms of technique, he definitely isn’t the best but the emotion he puts into his singing is amazing~

i see your point justin, and i think it depends on the song. in this song i think the rap is quite tastefully incorporated and easy to digest because the verses were really melodic. and they also leave a lot of space in the production for the rap parts (like only leaving the guitar and some percussive elements) to better highlight those parts. nice reaction bro!

The raps parts r the best part of the song hahaha makes the song special and kinda different. I don't think it breaks the song AT ALL
The big difference with btob is that they use no backtrack for their ballads. Just actual live singing.
But actually, my favorite singer Sungjae (not the best technique necessarily but I love his tone of voice) isn't here in the video. His voice is deeper and makes the harmonies of this song more rich.

btob is so amazing that they are not just called kpop idols anymore but true artists
In addition to producing most of their songs (including the one you heard) all 7 members can sing very well
not to mention that they are very funny and crazy

although i am not melody (the name of the fan is btob) but i strongly admit! they really are the Korean boy band vocal!
it's not really a break though, that's just the flow of the song. BTOB is not a vocal group featuring some rappers, so I think the rap verses here are great. I guess it just takes a second or third listen to get used to the rythm of the song with the rap parts since it's easy to get carried away by the vocals. I personally really like to see how they integrate rap verses in these ballads and I personally love Missing You a lot, it's such a beautiful song. hope you'll react to BTOB more often!

BTOB is amazing. 2 of them have famous singing parents which are also amazing! Definitely inherited vocal chops. Those rappers can also seriously sing too especially Minhyuk

1 year late but I like how Ilhoon has these sing-song rap flows, I think it's fits the slower songs while still having personality

The thing about BtoB is that they are considered to be one of the best ballad producing groups. They’re rap line find great ways to incorporate their parts with the way the BTOB songs are composed. They’re one of the best vocal groups in kpop. They’re a group that can do it all. Their vocal line can rap and their rap line can sing, so they’re very versatile.
Since you really love the vocals i recommend that you watch their live performance from Immortal songs "To my love" and "Under the sky". Those two performances were only from the vocal lines and it was amazing. I know you'll love it.

sir this is KPOP, most groups, if not all, has a rapper. with that, they have to give them parts. BTOB also produce & compose their own songs. they're the best vocal male group in kpop right now. and it kinda bothers me that you didn't finish the video slsksjsj

They are also known as the Kings of Harmony.
Even the RAP-line can harmonize with the VOCAL-line smoothly without any rehearsal.
Each and every member has different layers of voices that oddly fit the harmonization, including the rappers. Those 3 rappers have different tones and styles and yet they fit-in to any song including the ballads, which BTOB is well-known for.
I find the rap line give more edge to the sad/ballad song.
"Beautiful Pain"by BTOB for example.
Unlike other sad songs, it doesnt make you cry as you listen to it. But it rips your heart and left you speechless as the song ends.
Damn-that-was-beautiful-and-painful-at-the-same-time reaction is the most common to see after listening to it.

Before this i don't even know about btob. But this song caught my ears and eyes straight away. Started with this song, I'm searching for their other songs. This group individual vocal is amazing. Peniel and eunkwang is my favorite members.

Listen to their song "Please" and you might actually love the rap parts in it. It's lit! BTOB'S rap line is one of the most MELODIC rap I've heard. They might just be on top when it comes to that but it's my personal opinion

That guy with unique tone is Hyunsik and his voice really intrigues me, it has the husk and the wide range with unique technique. He is good at rapping and playing instruments too (the main dancer of the group as well), he is even the one who made this song.

Additional info: their choreography is based on sign language. And almost all of their song was composed, produced and written by members.
I used to think that rap breaks ruins the song as well, but as soon as I got into kpop and got used to it, I actually prefer having rap breaks because it adds interest to the song rather than it just being basically the same throughout the whole song. ALSO MINHYUK HAS THE BEST RAP.
I think btob rapp line have a very refreshing tone. They are help to build the songs so btob songs are never boring just with the vocals. I dont say that btob vocals are boring, NO. But btob rap line can makes their own rapp so it'll suits the song perfectly. This is about sad song Missing You, so they do a slow rapp. Isn't good? They can match the tone perfectly. Imagine that the rapp lines make rapps with full of speed and energy? Bro, this is a sad song with soft ballad. But nice reaction! Thankyou!!
