    As a 2021 Tech owner I am here to tell you the trackpad is second nature to me. Doesn't bother me at all. The car is dependable, fast and fun to drive.

      I don’t doubt that it’s something you eventually grow accustomed to, but that doesn’t mean it’s as straightforward and approachable as a touchscreen!

      Having worked in IT, after seven months of the touchpad, it still frustrated me. It's just not precise.

    We have a 2023 Advance. I think it took maybe a day to get used to the trackpad. Could it be better, yes, is it a dealbreaker for me, absolutely not. I’m 6’1” 240 and I find the seats to be very comfortable. I also think the ride quality and handling are great. Especially compared to our 2016 Advance. (BTW, fir comparison we own a 2016 Stingray). We love German cars, and have owned several (Audis and a Porsche). We looked at a GLC and X3, very nice but, the 2023 GLC seems to have some reliability issues with the hybrid system ( MB reliability these days is not what it used to be) . The X3 is great, but not as comfortable nor “luxurious”, plus if you own it for a while (after the free service period) they screw you over on parts and labor (they do seem to be getting better however on reliability but, still not at Lexus/Acura levels). Plus the Germans nickel and dime you on the options. To sum it up, I think the RDX is the best value in the class combining, value, fun, luxury, practicality and reliability.

    2023 RDX A-Spec owner. Took me a few hours to master the true-touch pad. So we have to dismiss any outrageous criticism.
    Overall, given all the design/engineering (for the cost) Acura puts into this generation of RDX, this is the by far best-in-class for a sports performance compact SUV category.

    As a 2019 Acura a spec owner - cons : touchpad and fuel economy pros: sporty ride, els audio, great handling, great space and great throttle response even at high speed.

    After debating over SUV's for a few years I landed on a 2023 CX5. Liked it at first but now a little over a year later, for the $55k taxes inc I wish I had spent a bit more and gotten the Acura RDX.

    Cramping legs are entirely your issue, not the car's since no one else has that complaint.

    • @danilika9420
      @danilika9420 Год назад

      Unfortunately, it’s not my issue at all. I drive anywhere from 60 to 80 new vehicles on average a year; fewer than 10 per cent lead to these issues. That makes it noteworthy, as was the case here.

    Personally I don’t like sporty looking packages hence I was looking to get the non-sporty Tech package which also was cheaper than the A-Spec model. But Acura deleted that trim in Canada this year. Why? Because Honda made the 2023 new CRV so expensive that it became more expensive than their own luxury Acura so instead of pricing the new CRV more reasonably they decided to delete the cheaper versions of Acura!! That’s how. I bought a Lexus NX instead.

    The amount of hate this trackpad gets is mind boggling. It's not that hard to use. I still think the Mazda, older BMW and Lexus infotainment is worse.

      Pro tip, since the icons for the infotainment are movable, put the commonly used ones in the corners. While I'm not in love with the touchpad, I've adjusted to it and have no issues while using it.

      @@coldasfire7948usd it’s actually pretty hard to beat the value of the rdx. The only luxury one close is Audi q5.
      The gv70 was great until they removed all of the great features of the advanced trim.
      If you don’t mind going down to sub 50k the venza and sportage are both great choice for hybrid and gas you have cx5.
      Close to $55k you are actually also into ev territory too
