    Coming from someone who has owned them all I would go for the scat pack challenger. Gas mileage is a little better because of the MDS system, performs better than the one in the 5.7.
    You can run mid grade or top grade fuel depending on your budget.
    The power is more immense and gets up faster than the hellcat due to less wheel spin.
    Widebody helps tremendous.
    But if you could get the green swinger for $60,000 and could afford it that would be a sweet ass ride that would turn heads for many many years 👍👌

    R T's Lose their value too fast if you want everything a scat pack has just get a scat pack. And if you're looking for gas mileage, you're looking at the wrong cars.

    People don't realize they got 370 horsepower my friends got a four-wheel drive pickup truck with a 370 horse motor and it hauls ass for a pickup I can only imagine that motor in a 3900 lb car. I think his pickup weighs 7500 lb extended cab.. also the 1969 charger 440 cubic inch had 375 a horsepower and they were fast

    The good think about the 5.7 Hemi is that it can get by of 87 octane gasoline.

    • @JWilliams
      @JWilliams  5 месяцев назад +3

      You can put 87 in ANY car. The only reason to go higher, is for the power that the car can produce. But for the record, 89 is recommended for the 5.7L

    • @Groux504
      @Groux504 5 месяцев назад

      Man I don't even put 87 in my honda accord. That grade will leave so much deposits on your valves. Your car will drive like it's 7 years old after 2 months of using that grade Gas. Always use 93 on anything you want to perform Like new. I approve this post. I deliver Gasoline ⛽️

    I got my RT shaker loaded, for $34k. I think you can find a use loaded RT much lower for $40k. It won’t be a last call and it’ll have some miles but challengers all look the same.
    I would recommend getting a used scat for $38k-$40k. Sold my RT a year ago and plan on getting a scat once interest rates come back down

    If you can drive manual get one with the dynamics package. Don’t fret over cloth as you can easily upgrade. Dynamics package gives you 6 piston brembos in the front. I bought a scat and have pondered if I shouldn’t have got a 5.7

    • @garybishop4030

      You would miss the torque on the 392. I love mine but it's a pig on gas. I hope it gets better when it's finally broken in.

      Nice, superchargers are expensive. I have 5 years thankfully on my warranty left so I'm not doing anything major.

    • @scottandrews4822
      @scottandrews4822 5 месяцев назад

      The Dynamics package gives you 4 piston front / 2 piston rear Brembo brakes, not 6 piston front. The only way to get 6 piston front / 4 piston rear Brembo setup is to get the Widebody package, which can only be had with the Scat Pack or Hellcat models.

    • @countrymorgan2942
      @countrymorgan2942 5 месяцев назад

      @@scottandrews4822 would seem to get the adaptive dampening of the dynamics package needs to be a scat, but not true for the widebody. I purposely sought a car with dynamics package, it’s a slim body Scatpack

  • @AStanton1966
    @AStanton1966 5 месяцев назад

    I would jump on it. The Hemi V-8's are going the way of the dinosaurs. Personally, I wouldn't buy a widebody. If you ever need a front-end alignment, you need a special shop. Plus it's more weigh and needs wider tires.

    • @scottandrews4822
      @scottandrews4822 5 месяцев назад

      I have not heard of the Widebody package requiring a special alignment. It is rare that a car needs to be aligned. I have had three WB cars, and none of them ever required alignment. I currently have a 2023 Challenger T/A 392 Widebody that has the R/T, Scat Pack, T/A, and Widebody (WB) packages on it. The WB package does add a little weight, but you get ALOT for that: MUCH better traction and handling, 6 piston front, 4 piston rear, COMPETITION suspension with Bilstein shocks, 305/35/ZR20 PIRELLI P-ZERO tires (better looks, handling, and braking traction), flat bottom steering wheel, and 11" wide Devils Rim (or other) wheels, shift light, and other things. It is DEFINITELY worth the $5995 that ir costs, as it would cost someone MUCH more to do this themselves and it's always better when done at the factory. Think about it. You won't be sorry!

    • @scottandrews4822

      Why? 392 Challenger Widebody is SO much better- just as fast, MUCH more comfortable (roomier), larger trunk, better ride, Challenger has maintained its nostalgic looks, unlike Mustang, which has turned into a sports car. Challenger is the only real muscle car left!

Buy what you can afford without stretching yourself, stressing yourself, after the (NEW) wears off & make damn sure you don't mess you're credit up with an impulse buy. If ya can't afford it walk away & never look back!!! 🥸
