Mashed potatoes Ingredients:
8 potatoes 🥔 (red, Yukon or russet)
6 cloves garlic
Salt & black pepper
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 cup warm milk
3 tbsp butter
7-8 oz Gouda cheese, shredded

I usually don’t make mashed potatoes because they are usually lame, but this one is HEARTY, and DELICIOUS!!!! I just have to say this recipe was literally amazing. The best mashed potatoes I have ever had everyone raved about them, even people who don't normally like mashed potatos loved them. Did not change anything, I just increased the amount. If there is one near y'all, Aldi's has the cheapest place to get gouda cheese.

😇 Southwest Mash Potatoe
1 ½ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
5 lbs gold potatoes
1 stick butter
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
3/4 cup cheese for mixing with potaotes
1/2 cup queso fresco for topping mash potatoe
1 whole poblano chile/1 large greebell pepper/2 medium Jalapeño's
1/2 cup cilantro
Baked 350 for 15 minutes or when cheese melts
Totally recommend this recipe! I’m not a great cook but when I tried this recipe, I could guarantee this is the best mashed potatoes I ever made!

I made these today but without the cheese because I didn’t have any but let me tell you these are the best mashed potatoes I’ve made so far!!! Probably would’ve tasted even better with the cheese but still good nonetheless. To anyone hesitant about making it, I highly recommend!!

Salted or unsalted butter? Never tried this type of cheese before. How does the cheese taste like? Trying to make this on thanksgiving.
I used unsalted butter. You can use salted and just monitor how much salt you use in the potatoes. To me Gouda cheese, has a mild soft taste/texture ❤️
