"but its your job as a weapon artist to know a bit about weapons" - i absolutly agree. i see it as a requirement to be a weapon artist. if you get the mechanical functionallity of a weapon it is easy to animate it in a game. if you have no clue how a gun operates the outcome shows!
This is the most underrated video I came across , ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WORK DUDE ❤️🔥 , would love to see you do some low poly tutorials and animations too on guns
Really Love it when artists get into the nitty-gritty stuff while explaining! Also a small doubt: The UV pack master creates great packing but it creates a lot of islands increasing vertex counts per UV island (if I am not wrong). So does that not affect anything in the game engine like performance issues? Thank you so much for the detailed video :)
UV packmaster doesn't really unwrap for you its mainly as set of tool that help you make the most effective use of your UV grid space and check for errors. I would recommend against using any of the auto unwrapping methods that are in blender for variety of reasons.
I was wondering if there's any free 3D modeling softwares for beginners, and also what's the software that is used and the video? thanks, great video btw.
There are lot of good weapon modeling tutorial out there. To start Chamferzone has some very good free tutorials on how to get started to create a knife and a grenade. He has newer tutorials that cover Blender as well. I have a new series of videos covering many steps of the weapon modeling process on my channel as well.
what kind of box line are in inside you modeling it is it bounding box to stop when you try to do scale large of the box size its prevent to scale under the box or it's just a cube which is kept for size maintain?

Blender 3d is the software used. It is free to use, and it is one of the leading 3d software's used in games and animation now.
@@Tosmo Thanks a lot bro! Much appreciated.
15:12 What modifier or what ever it is are you using to cut shapes and stuff with that square? If that makes sense
I have image of my weapon refence in my scene and just modeling on top of it using the transparent x-ray mode (ALT+Z)
Even though he is not using this tool in particular during your timestamp, I think what you are referring to goes by 'Boolean'.
would there be some kind of decent tutorials based on these topic, not too advance, for beginners?

How do you do different attachments though? Do you just have to make each individually or swhat
Yeah, the entire gun is broken down into several part including the attachments which are modeled separately.
what kind of box line are in inside you modeling it is it bounding box to stop when you try to do scale large of the box size its prevent to scale under the box or it's just a cube which is kept for size maintain?
Yes, it just a cube that I use for dimension reference, when modeling.
@@Tosmo thanks❤️ nice tutorial

Hello, I have problem making 'Obrez Pistol' barrel...
What is your issue? if you need to post a screenshot you can check the discord link in the description.

I use substance painter for all of my texturing, and I have some videos on my channel that have tips for texturing using Substance Painter.
