Even when this video was done, I kept playing with the cube. It is so addicting and perfect for anyone that loves to fidget with things. I did'n't realize how hard it would be to make it a cube again haha

We've had this since Christmas and I didn't even think it could go back to a cube. Until I found it in my toddler's crib... Somehow our 3 year old managed to make a cube. Her parents? Nope.
I was thinking of getting this for my 9 month old. Just to mess around. And introduce the concept of shape-changing and geometry etc. Now I'm thinking it's not that crazy of an idea!

Maybe that's because kids will just play with something for fun and enjoyment - a three year old wouldn't even understand the concept of "finishing" something.
Adults have this subconscious need to prove that they are smart enough to work out the puzzle.
They aren't doing it for enjoyment. They are just trying to finish it. So they are going to find the experience frustrating and "give up" because they focused on the outcome and not enjoying the process.
Children will simply play with a toy, and get enjoyment from working out what the toy does in the process, and they will spend hours playing with it and they will enjoy every minute of it.
Of course you are going to be able to work something out if you are enjoying the challenge. She didn't even know that there was a "finish" line, and she played her way across it. 😜
@@LaraKim as a former 3 year old I can absolutely assure you that many do understand the concept of finishing a puzzle
@@LaraKim Definitely. Everything works out better if you do it for fun instead of as a task that you NEED to finish

dude. it took me, no lie, an hour to get it back to the cube. still fun as hell. 10/10 wold recommend. once you get the hang of the different shapes, it all comes together
I have bought 8 so far with one more on the way. I sent them all but one to my grandson. He is 13 and loves to combine them! 💚💚💚

Pyramid and other shapes are easy but I've not got mine back into the original cube yet. Now I know why I was almost making shapes but they didn't seem right, because it was meant to be combined with another one. But that would only work with 2 the same.
After using the cube for just a few hours it’s really easy to get it back to its original shape
Took me a while to figure it out but once I got the hang of it I could do it in under one minute every single time

Maybe the one on Amazon isn't the official one? Ours are both this size. It's possible you have very large hands?

How to turn it into a cube:
Make pyramid
Go to the part of the pyramid where its pointed out
Now slowly invert it
Now point any 2 corners in and make a cube in top
Then invert the bottom in and u will have "the hive" now fidget until you get a star, invert it and flip it. Boom done

Does anyone else remember the Rubik's cube? Or am I the only one that old? 👵😁 Is the Shashibo as difficult as that was?
It's a lot easier to get the shashibo Into is original shape then a rubiks cube. Personally I don't see the shashibo as a puzzle and more as a fidget.
Naww the Rubik's cube is still entertaining kids today.... There are actually competition's that you can enter if you think you're good enough.........
We are currently on galaxy brain levels of rubiks cube. They have tuning pegs and specialized lubricants now.

Think of it like opening a pistachio. Yout just pull the two corners to open it. Remember though, "if it doesn't flow, it doesn't go" as you transform Shashibo from one shape to another. :)

Careful. Amazon sells these for $17. Saw them at 5 Below and beyond for what I think was $5. Was struck by its no fan fare sitting in corner and poor market strategy of solid box, all writing with no see through to see actual product. A whole shelf of them & I thought not moving because of the aforementioned bad advertising.
