ahhh the Ice Cave. The classic bottleneck experience.

I loved how fuzzy and warm bf1 looked compared to how cold and sharp bf2 looked.

The way to win is to immediately capture the neutral command post and hold that position, that way u don’t get majority of ur reinforcements constantly respawning in the ice caves just to be instantly massacred.

Rhen Var is my fav planet, I really adore the aesthetic and the map design is peak.

This is what it is like to play Battlefront II on an emulator. The Hoth level is rigged and psychedelic.

  • @KiryuGodzilla1

I never play this game on a Hard difficulty setting, but I only played it on a Easy difficulty setting.

  • @jcrebel18

yeah, I think one of the big problems with this game is you basically have to win all the battles youreslf as the friendlies are useless.

  • @jcrebel18

the frustrating clone trooper game I usually hear about is Republic Commando on hard difficulty.

    One word:

  • @mike16apha16

the game is so insanely hard playing as the clones. the droidekas are so powerful the clones and even maps formated and designed to help try and make it easier. like their special unit the emp trooper is strictly to fight droidkeas, clone troopers have unique emp grenades just to fight them. even Kassyk islands having wookie allies was to help balance droidekas, but has the knock on effect of making the map nearly impossible for the empire against the rebels. same with Naboo plains makes the fight near impossible for the empire cause it was balanced for droids v clones

I remember a game on the first Ren Var map. I'm the last guy alive on the clone side as an engineer in one of the hover tanks. Maybe a gunner. 40 to 60 enemies remaining. We lost the ice cave, only the starting command post is still ours. Some A.I. heavy trooper set mines at our entrance to the ice caves.

  • @mike16apha16

fun fact about droidekas that will make them way easier is there is a programing error that stops them from shooting someone right in front of them. so if you can get that close you can just shoot them down or even use them as cover to pick off other droids. though you might die if the droideka fire at one of your teammates and hit you in the process

I’ve really been enjoying your Battlefront videos, I’ve been binging them ever since the Classic Collection was announced!

  • @heebiejeebies4625

I played 2 a lot more, but I love playing 1 when I want to experience pain

  • @AJ_Sparten1337

    I love this game.

  • @adamfeldberg9521

Oh gosh, there will be a tank constantly waiting at the entrance of that cave every MP match...loved this map.

Rhen Var strat that tends to work: Play as an engineer. Bring the command post vehicle just outside of the first command post. Your troops will eventually capture it while you cover them with tank fire. Once it's captured, you can just sit by the city opening for the rest of the game, taking out troops and tanks while staying out of too much trouble. Or if you're feeing spicy you can go past the opening all the way to the corner by the second command post and sit there until your troops capture that one too.
