Man I just love this company. They just go for unconventional stuff no other car-manufacturer would do, they do everything the best way possible. What Koenigsegg does is EASIER than building a 1.6 liter TDI engine for a Golf from an engineering perspective. You don't understand why, but it is. The reason why nobody does it is because it's EXPENSIVE. It's EXPENSIVE to make a 3 cylinder 600hp engine, but it's EASIER than it is to make a 150hp engine that will be mass produced for a VERY low price. Making low volume production special engines when money is not an issue is easy and every engineers dream. It's the BEST way to develop and design things, when you dont have to worry about how much its gonna cost, you just make it as good as it can possibly be. Again, this is counter-intuitive to people who arent engineers, but trust me as someone who works in the industry, it's easier than you think. The most difficult thing is to mass produce cars that cost very little money to sell and even less to make, because you have to optimize every tiniest detail to the extreme length, because every detail will drop your profits. And then on top of that you have to make parts perform extremely well while costing extremely little. THAT is challenging engineering, from multiple perspectives, not just design, but manufacturing, materials, production, etc. Making low volume boutique engines is easy. You just design them extreme as you want, you don't have to worry about cost because you can use the best possible materials in production, you can use the best possible machines and production methods, etc. There are less challenges basically....the only challenge is how far do you wanna push the design. In mass produced car manufacturing, EVERYTHING is a huge challenge, not just design. You realize how much money companies make on a single car sale? 1000-2000 euros. That's right. VW Passat sold for 45000€ makes VW less than 2000€ of pure profit. This Regera that sells for a couple of millions makes a million to Koenigsegg per sale. So they can afford to over-engineer and over-build things.

@@Zeruel82Mk2 i have always driven amazing cars for work or on track. So I don't need a fun daily driver. I have a 2020 E-Niro comfy and really cheap to run with the electric power train.
Makes me proud to be Swedish!
"It doesn't feel like you're getting pushed. It feels like you're getting sucked." - Noted.
Imagine being a testdriver at koeningsegg😍
Hey max loved the video as usual from here in the american heartland. Also love the return of those adjectives "crazy" "ridiculous" "mental" etc. Even that driver guy got into it with something about the G forces "sucking" him forward instead of pushing him back 😉
What an AWESOME car!! It can slalom at 200kph without loosing grip! "When you drive a regular car, it feels like you are getting pushed. Now its feels like you are getting sucked forward" OMG I have to SOMEHOW get my hands on this car.
Top video Max! 👌😎🔥
Big respect for them for inviting you to do this
12 year old JDM fan bois - "supra can beat that"
Off the line, yes the supra absolutely could. But, in a mile, ehhhh no because supras top out usually at like 240 - 250
@@ripit.3457 you mean a 1000hp supra, right
Savith Rajapakse yes, did you not? Sorry if I misunderstood
@@ripit.3457 off the line, no way in hell. These cars go 0-60 in about 2.2 seconds... no way a supra can do that, especially with the turbo lag
@@slowcheetah7175 that 1000hp supra is still cheaper than the reagera.
They'll need to build a new autobahn for this one.
When he says “holy moly” you know it’s fast 😂
We have been waiting for this a long long time
The only company that seems to think outside the box for innovative solutions for the industry it seems. Others play it safe

Koenigsegg worker: "Welcome to my office"
Cold asf.
This is not a car. This is something from another world.
First Gear: 400
Second Gear: 800
Third Gear: TIME TRAVEL!
Doing 150 mph, and it’s can still grip enough to swing side too side. That’s insane, this car is the top of line.
Driver : Welcome to Koenigsegg Airlines....
Max : wait Let me seat belts on first....
one of the things koenigsegg does that i find pretty cool, on the inside of the wheels they acctually put a sheet of gold to absorb the heat from the brakes so the glue in the carbon wheels doenst melt. as Doug would have said, that's a cork some of you probably didnt know about
You know the car is crazy when autotopnl tests it not on the autobahn, but on the test track
The best 8n the World Christian is the Best ingegnir in the World, He has overpassed the dream that the Ferrari, Lamborghini etc didn't yet achived.
Incredibile what Christian Von Koennigsegg does!!!
Now I'm curious how the Regera feels like in the tracks
After this Video we can say Max is Testing EVERY car 😂
