What are you doing by putting your hand on what I assume is the radiator/fuel line at 1:13?

sidsc19 He’s blocking airflow into the radiator. I’ve been told that the fr125 engine shouldn’t be thrashed until it’s above 50 degrees centigrade. How accurate that is I’m not sure. But by blocking airflow the engine warms up quicker for obvious reasons

at the start I'm pinching the fuel pipe to keep the engine from flooding while rolling up. later on I lift the radiator flap to keep the Engine cooler

imperitor titan Can I ask why it’s necessary to pinch the fuel line? Obviously to stop the engine flooding but why would that happen anyway? My guess is that you maybe it’s been tuned and has large jets in the carb for better top end, hence the overfueling on idle/low throttle. I’ve never heard/seen that before though so I’m just guessing

Danny Brown hi mate sorry for late reply lost computers and stuff for a while, because the carb has a really rich jetting I’m using the fuel pipe as a restrictor, the lower fuel mixture will give a better launch off the line, further into the video I’m opening a flap on the radiator so that I can maintain the engine temps
