This is making me really feel that love I have for skateboarding ❤️❤️❤️
crazy how im seeing this comment 4 years later
@@n4than_clout753 I just realized too
It's great man, and I have YOU in part to Thank for rekindling my Love for Skateboarding after roughly 16 Years...
So, THANKS 🔥👍🔥!!!
@@sasquatchhillbilly 16 years? wow
@@skatewrld4002 yeah, wish I hadn't stopped, but also really happy to get back into it...
Agitated an old knee injury yesterday though, so it'll probably be a couple weeks off for now...
Malto's bs overcrook was insane
The amount of things that could go wrong there... crazy.
This video is incredible. Some of the greatest tricks to ever go down. Fuck yes!
+Luan Oliveira luan vc é foda
lets see you do some rails luan seu vagabundo
+Luan Oliveira Shave that fucking horrendous mustache, bro.
+Luan Oliveira thought this first was the notorious fake luan who rules the comment section.. it was only the real luan...
This is fake Luan guys
This is skate history. Great video. Thx for sharing it.
That rail the Gonz boardslided is insane. I've been there, and I will tell you that it is video game like.
it's amazing to see how the shape of boards has changed over time
It’s so epic seeing Heath and Shane hitting up El Toro back in the day. Now they could literally do a handrail compilation with just the Red Bull team alone! It’s amazing what the Red Bull team has accomplished in the last few years. This is history tho, I grew up on “Welcome to Hell” and the Alien Workshop videos so this is nostalgia for me. Anyone remember the Adventures of Boozy the Clown?! He was before CKY and Jack Ass!
Koston's 360 flip noseblunt will always be my favorite
Sameee
@@Slothhlikeclips_ respect
This is a really good video , it's like you kind of forget these even you seen them hundreds of times . Watching that was definitely a blast to the past
Cardiel 50/50ing that Union Square rail was the gnarliest thing ever!!!
Gap compilation? Thrasher cover compulation?
Compilation
+Temple Philly No no, those can be found on Pornhub
+Freshfruitz computation :P
+Freshfruitz what about gay compilation ?
+Freshfruitz a thrasher gap compilation would be the greatest thing on earth
Love that clip of David Gonzalez. Guy has a steel sack!
I wish they would have shown billy marks switch big heel boardslide.. That was amazing
this was the best thing I've seen in footage compilation history! I would pay good money for a full length version with some behind the scenes and a couple solid interviews.
Now I feel old. Some great clips in here but a lot of great ones missing.
Ronnie Bertino and Maldonado's tricks were the two that really stood out when I was a kid. Marc Johnson's kickflip back tail was at Sequoia Jr. High. I went to school there and K-grinded that one -- which I was stoked on. When Marc did that, a couple of locals were there and told us about. I didn't believe it -- I didn't think you could kickflip tail a rail. Then the Maple Seven Steps to Heaven video dropped and the evidence was there. That trick was incredible for 1996.
2012 was a great year
that was almost my whole life crazy edit ,thx for that thrasher
This is the best compilation rail history ever! With the coolest music! Kadavar creature of the demon
Cardiel and Burman. I mean are you fucking kidding me?!? You gotta have balls that fit in a truck to even attempt those rails. Insane.
Rip Shane Cross, I believe that was the last trick to go down the el toro rail before it was removed
thanks for doing this vídeo, i grow up whatching all this guys.
wow..great classics. thnx for posting that stuff
i love skateboarding history! make more like this!
I know like half these guys from the Tony Hawk games. Seein them just takes me back...
love it how the first clip was the year I was born, got to watch skating evolution through my whole life
+Jamie Deakin I was born a few decades before you and I can say the same exact thing.
Some legendary stuff here but I think Burmans Philly rail drop off takes the cake.
Always on the grind!
Cardiel is the only one allowed to be in this video without a make
Time?
He landed tricks in this?
Malto's nose grind in slo mo is truly sublime. His trick and Arto's back lip are my favourites.
This video has a tiny fraction of the best handrail tricks done.
This was so much fun to watch. Could we please see another one like this with stairs?
Dude I am f^cking sitting here with my jaw on the ground at how bad I suck at skating.
I'm doing the exact same thing
where is Silas's 50-50 gap 50-50 that one is mind blowing
+goldcrossLOLs Too Transworld for them probably...
Ok I will make a new video but it makes me look like a wannabe
Too many bro just a history cap
I just noticed, my comment is rubbish, because they included "Modus"
My name is Silas
That was incredibly entertaining.
impossible to choose the sickest one from these
So much fun to watch!!
Great compilation! Derek Elmendorf's roller coaster of a rail in the Thrasher video entitled "biggest handrail ever?" should have made it over a couple of those, though.
Malto's bs overcrook is to me probably the most beautiful and insane trick ever to go down on a rail. Grinding on the front truck down a steep rail like that..
Best video ever to watch before skating.
HELMET.
+Erik Gunderson This is so true ahaha
+Erik Gunderson Politics, youtube pros can't skate as well as people in videos outside of this platform so they compensate with their opinion only a ten year old cares about. That's all.
helmet
+Drew Maxwell Obviously you count yourself as a ten year old because you're so salty over it.
Brought back memories from when I used to skate. Those were the days. The good ole days! 92-95.. 🤘
I'd seen almost every one of those. Lots of memories.
best history lesson ever
great to hear one of Kadavar's song at Thrasher!
Make " Handrail heaven " and it's nothing but the best rail bails
What about Ishod gap kick flip back lip?
These guys are insane !
They could do like 20 editions of this, some of these guys have 20 tricks alone that could be on here. Also maybe a Scott Kane trick or Carlos Ruiz back lip el toro just to name two.
+MilkSteak23 YES! Scott Kane was a hand rail God in early 2000's!! Kickflip 5-0's and switch feebles and nollie over crooks all day!
+Matt Wright kickflip back 5-0 (ppl still really never do that on a rails. hubbas are 10x easier), switch heel front noseslide (still an NBD...never even see it on ledges let alone down rails), sickest kickflip back crook some pretty big rail, kickflip front crook, kickflip front nose blunt (craziest shit ever), suski down big round rails, bs feeble a monster rail that kirchart later fs boarded as an ender, he basically had like 3+ NBDs at every famous rail in socal. he could also skate stairs and gaps and he did some really sick lines, too (even shit at love). i really just loved his style and board control - he did everything so proper and effortlessly
+tuodekab hell yea sw heel front nose and kickflip noseblunt were crazy, you never see anyone do them frontside.
Love it these guy are amazing
Gonz definitely did some other crazy hand rail tricks before 1991 though because he was doing 180 grinds down the rail at the Ohio Skateout in 1988 which blew my mind at the time.
CARDIELS 50-50 IS THE SICKEST RAIL I HAVE SEEN IN MY 24 YERARS OF SK8.
the one i was waiting for but didn't see was the carlos ruiz bs lip down el toro. i remember being blown away when i first saw that. i guess you can't have it all
cool watching the camera quality get better over time, even though I like vx footage
awesome I remember all these tricks goin down
All Hail, Cardiel!!! The Levi's store rail on Union Square, finished.
The Barley grinds
Gravette's super kinky white rail as well as the long curved rail in CSFU video should be in this
Kirchart's lipside at El toro was a work of art.
3:42 always been mind blowing
A lot of legends!
damned, that was sooo awesome!
Sooo much stoke in this video! Fuck yea!!
Thx for throwing that together Thrasher :)
That switch tre nosegrind tho
crazy how fast skateboarding progresses. first handrail was boardslide in 1989 then just 2 years later someone was already kickfliping into it? insane!
This video gets me hyped to skate, fuck yeah!
Technique evolved big time between 91 and 95.
Damn that's heavy and nostalgic.
Time for a part 2
that ollie north to smith was crazy!
Mike Carrol's ollie north bs smth, in 1991, damn
So sick!
pretty sweet came out in 2012!? damn i feel old as shit...
+neisjoey What are you, like 17?
+BierBrille 22 ?
damn thats so old dude. so old
Nope, I mean, I'm 31. I've been skating since 13, so, whatever, keep on skating for life, dude!neisjoey
Amazing!
This is good and all, but I can't look at it and help think of all the important stuff this missed out on.
+Niko Kääpä I noticed they left out Chris Cole's Dying to Live kickflip b/s noseblunt, and could have added Nyjah's 360 flip 5-0
They also left out grecos dark slide which I felt was pretty significant
They also left out grecos dark slide which I felt was pretty significant
They also left out grecos dark slide which I felt was pretty significant
+Niko Kääpä Sure, but just imagine how long it would be to simply compile a video with ALL of those.
I think this video pretty much covers the bases just right. It starts with simple slides, then flips to slide, some variations, increasingly big rails, going up the rails and then very hard tricks to slides/grinds.
rise and shine came out 2011, thrasher editors be slippin....
history slam montage would be sweet "collab of all the best slams" lets see it thrasher...
gnarly, wish I could skate like that. I practically do just manuals
good vid. cardiel, duffy, kirchart, jt & david.
I think I'm going to cry 😭😢..brilliant,viva skateboarding 😃
'Cloud
Whoops-missed Gonz at "OHIO SKATE-OUT" (oh yeah pre-'89") in 1987. First I ever seen go up a handrail. Also, his 180 to 50-50 in Video Days. I'm still a Gonz fan!
that crazy 50 by clint walker was a pretty sick one
one brazilian thanks tx the underground man
Chicagos weather sucks balls but I'm still going to skate after this video
+jessy carrillo hit up an indoor park
Exactly and hahah chi reppin luckily I have a qp in my basement
+jessy carrillo I just got done a sesh in PA, its freezing out!
+Immanuel Monroe winter just gotta end
+jessy carrillo same. off to fargo we go.
So Nice !
Awesome. Could've added dollins crooked ender from sight unseen
What about Kichart bs tail flip out in Emerica´s This Is Skateboarding?
+Axl Rose ate my Buick Or his kickflip front board? You could make an entire video dedicated to his handrail tricks.
+Axl Rose ate my Buick and Reynolds frunt blunt flip out??
+Vinícius de Andrade i fucking loved that trick and whole part. and that shit was in '98 haha. he did it so good, too.
COVER compilation.....hell yes....
this was inspiring
Malto's had a huge margin for error, scary.
You mean small margin for error?
Small margin for error would imply that there was almost nothing that could go wrong!
+Drinkstoomuch83 actually it's the other way around, small margin for error means there is little that would be allowed to go wrong. Think of a margin as brackets, if the brackets are small or close together, you can't fit much between them, very little error. If the brackets are large or far apart, then much more fits inside of them, much more error is allowed to get your desired result.
+John Ritchie I've been getting this wrong for years it seems, dang.
Yo one of the craziest handrails ive ever seen somebody do was matt bergers pro part where he blunt kickflip outs a gnarly rail
hannessf19 Fuck yeah bro. Matt Berger is an amazingy talented skater. He skated Phx am a couple years in a row where I live, and I witnessed him backside lipslide up and down the handrail at my local skatepark! It was crazy witnessing that, he even bounced after hitting the first part of the rail and hung on in there. I think it was Phx am 2014
SICK!
Shane Cross nose grind is the one that always sticks out to me, he just looks like he his floating
Welcome To Hell has some key handrail moments, surprised they didn't use one of Jamie's from that
What about Duffy's 5050? in Questionable?
vaya repasito a la historia!!!! GRANDE!!!!
K-Walks 50-50 is the top of the mountain for now.
and now for my next number, I'd like to return to the classics *clicks in vid*
a bit o history there
Also, great video.
Whoa!!! Peter Peter smolik he was dope af back in the day
