Pretty sure it was an automotive journalist or something...so definitely someone with some performance driving experience. He was talking about trying to brake late and hit it hard to get the full experience. When he hit the brakes, he said his head went flying forward and he could barely hold himself in place and, when reaching the pits, was congratulated for reaching 30% brake application.😂

There is more to it than that. If a driver is uncomfortable that takes away from his ability to perform at maximum. All racing teams pay great attention to their driver's comfort, it is vital. I used to do that and our driver got good results.
One of the things they program in an F1 car before every race is, "push the brake pedal as hard as you can". "Okay, that's your max break pressure". It's insanely physical. Not to mention 7 horizontal g's on Susuka on 4 consecutive corners..
Yup. It's due to the enormous heat inside the driver capsule and the F1 cars tend to go crazy in temperature and sometimes combine with the weather as well. F1 racers are required to maintain enough wait to not lose unnecessary seconds and also don't go unconscious while racing.

You can actually
People that hate are gonna find a way to hate regardless. It’s more so about the other people than Lewis himself. If not Lewis is they’ll find another person to hate, they’ll never be content.
Watch me. Arrogant prick who always goes ballistic when someone else fails but when he does it goes: well these things happen! Also how many people has he pushed off the track?
@@DaveWraptastic So, pretty much a standard F1 driver then 😄
Lewis is amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting him 6 years ago and being such a super champion and being so down to earth and nice was an inspiration.
Im reminded of an interview with someone (i forget who) that was granted the experience of driving an F1 car.
People don’t realize some F1 drivers have broken ribs while going around corners… you can get slammed around that hard
Strapped to the seat with two belts over your shoulder, sure.

Its harder than you think.

It's insane to me that they are so consistent in lap times that 3/10s of a second is even a factor. This just makes me realize as a casual sim racer I'm not even CLOSE to their level of driving
They truly are Champions...win or lose .
With a name like Lewis Hamilton your career has basically been set at birth as an F1 driver.
Other than the fact that his name has been conspicuously associated with F1 for the last 17 years or so, what about the name Lewis Hamilton screams motorsport? It's not like he's called Brian Downforce, or Mercedes Extremelyquick.
Legit title "Lewis Hamilton has a cool conv about f1 with a few people"
Never heard him speak before. He has such a calm, soothing voice!
They could just make a rule that all cars have air conditioning and they would all be more comfortable
that’s not the point of an f1 car though. it’s not meant to be comfortable, it’s meant to be as fast as possible
Foolish question.
There is more to it than that. If a driver is uncomfortable that takes away from his ability to perform at maximum. All racing teams pay great attention to their driver's comfort, it is vital. I used to do that and our driver got good results.
Smart, So Handsome, Super Proud of you Sir Lewis Hamilton. ❤
Sir Lewis get in there!!!!! Congratulations to our 7 (8x) world champ and his smashing victory yesterday at Silverstone! 🇬🇧 🏆🐐💜💜💜💜
Hamilton went 300 km/h in a corner with mercedes
"you can't be big and bulky" so cute
One of the things they program in an F1 car before every race is, "push the brake pedal as hard as you can". "Okay, that's your max break pressure". It's insanely physical. Not to mention 7 horizontal g's on Susuka on 4 consecutive corners..
OMG, his voice.... so relaxing. He is so ❤.
What? He loses 4kg in 90min?
Yup. It's due to the enormous heat inside the driver capsule and the F1 cars tend to go crazy in temperature and sometimes combine with the weather as well. F1 racers are required to maintain enough wait to not lose unnecessary seconds and also don't go unconscious while racing.
The women are like... very interested.
Well that's it then. Let's all become jacked F1 champions with half a billion in the bank.
@@jochem1986how way up wasn’t easy .. 😊
The 25rd 7.62 mags are now unlocked with the quest through lightkeeper. I think its the same one that you do to unlock the sig.
When he says you’re going that fast and you turn, the thing turns. Knowing damn well no regular car can do that
You’re slow ..
nobody is being ignorant, nobody is schooling, they're literally curious and he's explaining it to them, op you need to get a hobby instead of gathering likes by putting out of context captions on perfectly normal videos
Exactly. This is about as calm as I've ever seen anybody explain anything.
@@RacingAtHomeI mean the AC question was a bit ignorant but I guess this was on purpose to get him talking.
@@dr.albantross1686the AC question was clearly a joke. Comedians tend to tell jokes on shows they're hosting.
@@dr.albantross1686 It's a joke. In the style of the show. It's nothing serious.
Right

NASCAR has been a thing for as long as I’ve been alive, and I only just now via this man’s explanation finally understand why it’s considered a sport.
This is F1
Oh my goodness. I can’t believe the advert in Malaysia. Love your content btw
stupid clickbait
AC and power door locks were expensive add ons 20 years ago. But big expensive American trucks have both of these and an arm rest is an option. (Referring to the f150).
man, when he mentioned malaysia😢 I miss Malaysia GP, I miss those guitar shaped circuit
Graham was leading up to an interesting topic. thats not ignorance, or being insulting, thats getting everyone involved in a dialogue, which is what good hosts/presenters do.
There's no air con, but there is cooling! There's an inlet on the nose of the car that forces air through the cockpit to cool the drivers a bit.
A lot of people seem surprised at the weight loss thing - weigh yourself before you go to bed and again when you get up in the morning. You’ll likely have lost 3 or 4lbs just sleeping.
The F1 steering wheel is like a complicated map 🗺️
“Schools” is such clickbait. 😂
I do some desert racing on dirt bikes. Fully hydrated, I've lost 10-15 pounds of weight in one 2 hour training session. People don't realize how grueling motorsports can be at all levels
I like how he refers to the race car as "the thing". I do that too whenever describing how awesome a vehicle can be
This isn't ignorance. They're intentionally giving him a chance to explain what he loves and does for a living to the audience.
The race track in Indonesia is next to the beach. Tropical beach! Its beautiful & all, but can you imagine the HEAT... 😱☀️☀️🔥🔥
I went to high speed go karting last year after a few months of slacking on gym consistency and my obliques were KILLING me the next day. I fully believe the core part of
I could see size/weight playing a factor for horse racing jockeys, but never knew it was so crucial for F1, etc
this is the most strategic stardew gameplay ive ever seen
His question was sarcastic and actually asked for an explanation that tells how the sport is not just about a dozen of rich guys in costly cars going round a track.
I always wondered why motorbikes don’t have Air conditioning?🤔
Lewis is so well-spoken and intelligent. He always explains F1 in a way that regular people can understand. It's easy to see why he's the face of F1.
I enjoy watching and listening to him.
It has a lot to do with engine power too. The AC would need to use the same power used to spin the wheels, therefore making it weaker
"you can't be big and bulky" I took this personally...😂
First there is no roof and second if there was AC you wouldn’t sweat which means you wouldn’t loose weight and it wouldn’t be classified as a sport then
No way you lose 4kg in an hour
Dunno if this an urban myth, but rumor has it many drivers in the past due to heavy G-Force, they were losing colors regarding the eye sight thus momentarily they were seeing things B&W.
"School" damn, you've never seen a joke before 😂
Titles kind of clickbait. They're not ignorant, they're making comedy.
I know "ignorant" is also the correct word, but it always sounds a bit more condescending then it's usually intended
It’s not really schooling when it’s just that the host didn’t go to school lmao
All the Gen “Ran Out of Letters” were like “WTF was Ricky doing with his hand when he was talking about rolling down the window?”😆
I have not the first clue about F1 or any Motorsport for that matter, but I know the engineering is absolutely cutting edge insane. The precision, the detail to squeeze just a tiny bit more performance, eke out even the slightest edge over the competition that is doing just that also. It’s brilliant and astounding. I know just enough to keep my mouth shut around people that DO know :)
Formula 1 and rally are unbeatable motorsports

WTF? It was a fun scripted conversation made for TV, nobody is schooling anybody
Even your 1st grader knows that, so those guests clearly knew it, they were just having fun & that is what people in these shows do
Keke Rosberg was big and bulky, smoked cigarettes, drove really well.
