- A live recording of Melanie and her take on Bob Dylan's "Sign On The Window". It was recorded at the Paris Theatre London in 1975. Barry Lee Harwood accompanies Melanie on Mandolin.
Beautiful woman with a very unique voice.
Amazing, what a heartfelt performance. Melanie's in excellent voice and Barry Lee's mandolin adds so much dimension.
Just Love that Lady, she sounds as good as she looks. Great recording of this song, Melanie at her finest.
i love her
I wasn't aware of this until I logged on to RUclips a few minutes ago. The day suddenly became a whole lot better!

sign in the window says: 'this is a wonderful version'!
beautiful...
First time i heard this won't be the last
As always Melanie makes it her own
When Barry Lee Harwood returned home from the tour with Melanie he found out that he was no longer front runner for the third guitarist spot with Lynyrd Skynyrd....the spot went to Steve Gaines who died in their plane crach...
Inspired, as if this song was written for her voice
What happened to the beautiful bridge?? "Looks like nothing but rain / sure gonna be wet tonight on Main Street. / Hope that it don't sleeeet ...."? Why perform the song incomplete? Go back to Dylan and hear it like it was supposed to be. Interesting interpretation, though.
that's what it's all about, for sure.
I do like this a little more than the Dylan original...There. Admitted it.
