    Literally the EXACT video I was looking for. All the big youtubers like senpai gaming just blabber BS (i bought multiple products he said not to and he was completely wrong) and then comes your video… FINALLY, a genuine conversation with honest reviews, no purposely making the video longer with unnecessary fluff, no clickbait, this is what youtube used to be about and you my friend are keeping that alive. Exactly why I created my youtube channel too (not the one I’m commenting from). Keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻

      @@PastorDoostyn that’s the best way to do it. People appreciate an honest video rather than most likely a clickbait or just drawn out 20 minute video that beats around the bush constantly. People that are “real” (as in honest, not fake) should be praised more on youtube. So, you deserve it. Keep it up my friend 👍🏻

    I would say M200 is also a good option. It's typically 150 usd cheaper than M50 mark 2 with Canon officially refurbished constantly getting around 450 USD, and comes very close as a perfect bang for the buck - clean HDMI, eye tracking dual pixel autofocus, 2.4 mp APSC and same processor as M50, flip up screen, interchangeable lens. My issues with M200 are the lack of EVF, slightly weird screen color, and lack of mic input and hotshoe, non of which are streaming related but it prevents the M200 from becoming a jack of all trades choice...

    • @PastorDoostyn
      @PastorDoostyn  3 года назад +1

      Oooh yes! I was also considering the M200 when I was researching bc it looks excellent as well. I ultimately went with the M50 Mark II bc of availability. I struggled to find the M200 stock every time I looked. Definitely both excellent cameras for streaming!

      @sindre. Год назад +2

      @@JoshuaCassady I know this is an old thread so I apologize for coming in late. I'm sure you have fixed the issue by now, but for other people who might read this: I have been streaming with the M200 since June 2021 and I have also done a 24h stream with it and several 12h streams. They can get warm, but mine has never ever shut off by itself. I can highly recommend it. I bought a 3rd party power supply so it has continuous power. (For new buyers: be aware that the DC power supply battery input is at the bottom. So if you have a large tripod you should check that it won't obstruct the battery lid.

      @@jazzguitarwithandy yes 100% I’ve used the same dummy battery since day 1 and never had an issue.. and I stream for hours at a time. The CamLink is also the way to go. Man, thank you so much for this video!! I've seen people give a rundown of the specs and tutorials on little tips to help really make the m50 mark ii be the best it can be, but never found a video that just showed how it'd look from a streaming perspective. Was also great to see how far you were from the camera too, that gives me a good idea as to why kind of lenses i'll be looking at.
    Only question i've got, does it over overheat at all? I'm thinking of doing some streams that might go on for 2-5 hours and overheating is something i'm cautious of, any signs of that with this camera?

    If price is not a concern, then Canon R5 C, is the best. Not only HDMI, it has high res, high framerate, can be powered via USB-C (or via battery pack), and can be used directly using USB as a webcam, and has a cooling for the electronics and sensor. Superb dynamic range, noise, low light performance, easy to connect external mics, very good continuous auto focus, flip out screen, etc. Plus it is a full frame sensor, so you can use great fast lenses, for that sweet sweet background blur or bokeh. But... very pricey. Definitively not for the beginners.

    For the price, I love the M50. My only frustration is the 8bit codec (which doesn’t matter for most) and definitely the forced hand on the EF-M mount type.
    Canon has been show boating the R mounts, and so it makes me sad to buy a lens that costs 400$~ and know that I will have to leave it behind if I move to another camera.
    Great video!

      I don’t even know what that 8bit codec means lol, so I guess it doesn’t matter much for my needs thankfully! But yeah the limited number of lenses is disappointing, especially if you’re gonna take it out and about and use it in different environments. • @PastorDoostyn
      @PastorDoostyn  Год назад +1

      I'm not either, so I'll try to explain it in our common language lol
      Each lens has a "focal length," and this one's focal length is 22mm. It describes the range the lens is capable of focusing on. So the higher/longer the number, the less blurry the background is going to be... bc it can focus on closer objects and the further objects at the same time (which is also why they are usually used for far away shots)... The lower/shorter the number, the blurrier the background will be bc it can only focus on a limited range.
      So I have my camera set to a distance where I am in perfect focus for this 22mm and everything behind me is blurry.
      Or at least I think that's how it all works lol

      I'm still using and loving my Canon M50 Mark II from this video. Usually a bit cheaper than the ZV-10, but just depends on sales. I know the a5100 is also a highly recommended camera for streaming if you can find a good used one.

    There's literally a Sony a6100 in stock in Best Buy around $850 I think would you say you would choose a a6100 instead of the M50 Mark II if you had the money. I can afford the a6100 but unsure 🫤 and can't find someone that has kinda like a set up you have rn (for streaming) that's testing it on a review
