What sets one piece apart is the world building and backstories into conspiracies which creates lots of room for fan theories. And in several cases and arcs the show gets very very relatable in terms of actual real world issues

I've been a One Piece fan ever since the manga premiered in the first issue of the English Shonen Jump magazine over twenty years ago, and I still love seeing new people fall in love with the series. That's what's so great about this live action adaptation; it's bringing this amazing story to people who never would have read the manga or watched the anime. And better yet, a lot of these new fans are enjoying it so much that their hunger for more One Piece is bringing them to go watch the anime or read the manga just to see more of these awesome characters and this great story. I am so glad you're enjoying it! I will certainly go on to watch your reactions to the rest of the live action episodes, and if you go on to watch the anime, I will ABSOLUTELY be here for it!
One piece is a deep, harsh, and complex world masked with the perspective of luffys joy and carefree nature. The characters are amazing and it touches themes represented in our world like racism, dictatorship, freedom and many more
One piece is one of the most lighthearted but also one with the deepest and saddest stories. Honestly, it earned its spot as one of the best comic book(manga) series of all time. People who haven't given it a shot sometimes brush it off as simply comedy because of how the characters are drawn and their goofy abilities and such (I know I did).
as a manga and anime fan, theyre really better than the series obviously, BUT THE SERIES IS REALLY PERFECT AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT, please keep on it!!!! ^^ 🇧🇷
I think the anime is worth the watch for sure. It would definitely be a cool journey for a reaction channel to take on. I didn't start watching anime until 2019 and was instantly hooked on OP. When you both sat forward at 9:56 I was like "yup, we got em!" lmaooo. I loved the reactions and can't wait to watch the rest!
This was a cool reaction video. I always enjoy seeing first reactions One Piece. I get to relive my first viewing vicariously through you. Haha. The One Piece live action was cool. As someone caught up on both the manga and the TV series - and who has watched the entire live action - I can say that while it is drastically different in a lot of ways, key moments that matter are still there and they kept the essence of the show the same. It feels very similar. I gave my own review elsewhere and it was a solid 7/10. Above average entertainment and much better than I expected. There are things I wanted to see done differently but I can see why they were changed. I don't know if you've ever seen it (I'm new here) but if you haven't reacted to "The Appeal of One Piece" by Super Eyepatch Wolf or"The Breathtaking World of One Piece" by Strawhat V, I highly recommend them just to get an idea of what One Piece is like. Enjoyed the content! Looking forward to seeing you react to the next episode!

Love the “long game” with over 1k episodes/chapters things are bound to pop back up and come back into play much later down the line. Tons of differences between this, the anime and manga. better pacing in the manga. side note, watch the AoT live action movie, it’s garbage and we all hate it, but it’s funny bad

As a anime fan watching from day one, this is an amazing adaptation. I don't think there is a real fan who doesn't know Oda and his comments about why he want to make this adaptation so I'm not gonna explain it further. This show is for you, first time watchers. For me, the most importing thing this show succeed is keeping the brave spirit of the anime/manga alive, to carry their will.
Not explained properly in the LA but the reason Morgan is so full of himself with the posters and stuff is he was hypnotized by Michael Jackson and Steven Tyler's lovechild into believing he is one of the greatest marines ever
The world building of one piece is on another level. Yea its comical so are the fights but the themes, core values and messages are up there plus the adventure
One Piece is very light hearted. Its main focus is on comedy and adventure, with a big emphasis on story telling and plot development. A lot of the fighting takes a backseat however over the years because of its popularity the fights have become more and more grandiose and intense. I wouldnt say its a kids series per say, its more like a story that matures along with you over the years. Even the early parts of the series have some pretty mature themes like you'll soon find out.
I dont understand Alvitas mace when she turns it spikes come out of the sides of it but when its upright theres only 1 row of spikes... it almost looks like an editing error, they dont really make it that clear that spikes come out of it. 🤔
It’s a long anime… but worth it. I’m at ep 612. It’s prob not the best reaction show for youtube (maybe better for patreon only), but you could give it a try off camera. Pacing is quite slow and some people say it doesn’t get good before water 7 / enies lobby arcs (Ep 229-312), some of the best arcs in all of anime imo. But I’d say the first good arcs are Baratie (Ep 19-30) , Arlong Park (Ep 31-44) , Alabasta (Ep 92-130)

A one piece heavy reaction channel more than a regular anime reaction channel... would it benefit them or hurt them. I'm not sure. When you search it up others have had great success on yt reacting to it, so its doable. They just gotta enjoy it cause its a big commitment. I hope they try reacting to a few episodes and then decide whether its a show for them or no.
One Piece & most famous animes are under the shounen genre, which is generally catered for male teens below 18. The seinen genre is more mature & caters to adults. So fans tend to grow up with the show.

I been watching and reading the manga when started also in comics list out sold Spiderman and Batman leaving the only comix head of it Superman. Oda gave this world layers and taken things in our own world that happen like religion and lots of dark things. Oda was 17 years old when started created this story. Was involved with every choice that was made so much lord that he gives too
I saw the manga and the anime series and quite a bit it represents the universe more or less well but in the anime the scenes are much stronger and moving, I would say it's because there are a lot more episodes this allows us to work better on the characters and give them a soul which brings us closer to the characters in the series we are less attached to the character but that is normal there are fewer episodes to summarize the universe and the characters but it's still good it's not better than the anime but it's still a good series that you can watch whether you know the manga or not, well done to them and for info season 1 group than the first 50 episodes so in reality the SPOILE and almost non-existent, we must not forget that today there are 1074 episodes and the anime and still not finished with still a lot of mystery so by making you SPOILE the first 50 episode which in addition to that you understood doesn't show everything it's not a problem
Imho Axehand Morgan was charakterized totally wrong in this show. In the manga the other marines of this base hates him, because he is a tyrant that reigns with terror.
Honestly watch the live action first. Because its self contained and you wont have the drawback of knowing about the changes made. The people who like the show best are those who never watched or read the original.

Nah..just never watch the AoT live action.. But that's also okay, so then you can say that this is one of the best adaptation that we have (Rurouni Kenshin and Alice in Borderland are also on the top)

If you really want to start watching the One Piece aniem, do yourself a favour and start from the beginning. Don't take the live action show as a shortcut. The anime is better by far. Much better OST, much more hilarious jokes and ofc better action. Imh if you compare this show to other live action adaptions of anime, it was good. If it was a show for it own, its medicore at best. From point of a fan of the anime and manga its horrible.
