The only seasoning I use is salt & pepper. I know nothing about spices. I use to put salt & pepper on my chicken. I stopped making it because no one ever ate it, and it always came out dry, and I love chicken. This video gives me the courage to try again with these new spices!
Wanting to try out a recipe is appreciation not appropriation. Appropriation would be trying someone else’s way of life and trying to insinuate it is your own thing over time
Your video was under a Paula Deen video I searched for and seen yours and skipped Paula! I love them spices and I'm going to have to put cayenne on some next time. Great video and I subscribed.
Those are the same ingredients I use but I put about half amount of lawrys and half amount of adobo. I have never used slap your mama before I’ll have to try that.. sometimes I omit the paprika and use a packet of Sazon instead
this is just a random comment but seeing the words black and white bother me alot. I believe we americans should be labeled more then just black or white. U dont go to other countries and hear one say that they are tan or white or black. They say they are austrian or german or nigerian. America should freely give people there background and info abt who they are for free because this whole black and white thing doesn’t make sense and its creating these stereotypes etc. Im pretty sure some non colored people season perfectly without the knowledge or help of a POC.
Yo Davina is tripping 😕 That's just the color regardless of nationality. Cause who got the time to say "my bloodline is from Ireland so I'm Irish" or "my mom side comes from Poland" When you see that person, based on how they look, the first thing to pop up in your brain is gonna be Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American. And sometimes Pacific Islander and Russian (that's if you really got time to care 😂). It's just a broad category of labels. Be specific on your taxes, not the internet.
Do a video for those in the back on how black people really wash their chicken, for example lift the skin up and pull all that slimy crap out, while under running cold water
U shouldn’t really wash your chicken in sink because the salmonella can wash off and get all in your sink but if do just make sure to wash your sink really well if you don’t already
So glad there's videos out there like this. I somehow have all these seasonings in my cupboard. I'm making chicken for Christmas and wanted it to taste good. I'll update later tonight after I cook it.
Whoever whatever "color" I do love me some delicious tasty chicken. Time I learn to do it myself because the restaurants just ....aren't serving good quality nor good taste of food anymore. Well speaking for myself and the restaurants in this city.
The sound of mixing the chicken with the seasoning was squishy and satisfying 😆 ...but, seriously! This recipe looks great and I definitely am going to try it! Thank you 😇
Had to tell my 60 year old white mother to Google how black people season chicken. Here we are. Thank you. I will pass this down the line unlike my mother 🤣
I came here because I’m black and for some reason my seasoning is not getting into my food I don’t know if I’m using enough season or salt or letting the chicken sit long enough steaks and ribs I get good but cooking chicken it seems not to get flavored
I'm a Polak. I came here to see what's the deal with that "Seasoning stereotype"... I was prepared to be surprised. I'm not. That's exactly how we make chicken in my family. Not trying to be disrespectful or anything like that, but I would even say, this wasn't seasoned enough! On top of that, I use whiskey or wine with my spices, to make the chicken even more tender! And at least 24h in the fridge to let it marinade properly!
That's not skin that is fat when she puts it in flour and egg wash that's going to make skin that white stuff isn't the skin that's fat and a lot of people pull it off before cooking for a little bit of reasons mostly because if you deep fry the chicken it can create a grease bubble and when you bite into it a whole bunch of Grease is going to pour out and it's just going to be nasty and because when you eat too much fat it starts to get nasty really quick
“Ima send you a picture real quick for the last question” “There’s no need for that” “Sir it’s just to verify race” *DING* “Why’d you send me a picture of chicken?” “Does it need more seasoni-“
I saw video of a black guy asking white people how they season chicken and laughing at their replies so I thought I'd check out what the brothers are doing
I googled black people fried chicken bc I’m tired of subdivision Susan trying to tell me how to cook chicken. If I wanted it bland I would’ve used my own recipe.

The title sis 🤣 You’re back with another cooking video!! Yay!
I knew she was real, when the 1st seasoning she used was the Lowrey's seasoning. Then said parsley is only for being fancy...FACTS!
She made me laugh when she said to use parsley when you want to show people that your gourmet.
haha.. yep she is awesome
“How black ppl season chicken!First of all, find 5 thighs n 5 drumsticks for $5. This is important…
Can I culturally appropriate this
Thanks for being respectful but YOU DEFINITELY CAN ITS JUST A RECIPE *im black btw*

I typed in "how to season chicken" & "how black people season chicken" was the first thing to pop up 💀
I just had this pop up but I'm gonna say it's good to see black people season chicken the same as everybody else from the south, love it.

You're giving away our secrets Sis! LMAO
That fat is called skin and it melts away adds flavor to the rest of the chicken and becomes crispy…
As a black man, I can confirm.
thank u for ur service ma’am 😭🙏
I'm white, but apparently I season chicken like I'm black. This is almost exactly what I was planning to use tonight! I'm just adding a little thyme.

You should have clean off the excess fat and skin off the chicken before seasoning.
But its blk folks chicken😀
Didn't think Black people seasoned their food, good on ya, Just learned somethong new!
I like to use Cayun seasoning for my chicken, but I usually do that instead of Cayenne pepper. Smoked paprika is also elite compared to normal paprika
The most black seasoning here is def the seasoned salt 😂
