Very recently, another youtuber. Old farmer, showed an 80's GMC Suburban with a John Deere engine hooked up to a TH350 sitting on his farm in Southern Maryland. No show truck, but still cool to see.

love it! That's a neat tuck! I would do the 4x4 swap too. I knew a guy back in the day he put 3208 Cat in a k20. the same guy later built an old dent side ford with a Perkins in as well. those trucks always seem cool to me that someone took the time to figure out how to make all that stuff to work.

This truck just kept getting crazier and crazier. I own a 76 c30 dump truck so I figured it was something like that or a flat bed 😅 blew my mind to see a “regular” bed and a cat motor in it

As weird as it might seem to some alot of time and effort has been put into this truck. I did not expect the cat conversion but it should run forever, not quickly but it’ll keep going. That would look cool lifted the way you and crew do them for sure. Ok I commented too soon, you can’t make it go fast 😂.

Once upon a time, GM offered longer than 8-foot beds. I think from the '40s to about '72
'37 thru early '47 offered a 10 foot long bed , with or without dual rear wheels . The late '47 Advanced design trucks , offered a 9 foot bed , with single rear wheels only . This was available only as a stepside , and all the way until '72 . For '68 to '72 you could get a 8 1/2 foot long Fleetside called a Longhorn as a 3/4 or 1 ton , two wheel drive only .
