I have been taking parts from pink pens and making other pens into drill pens too. I have tried all kinds of things. Taking the brass tip off and putting it in the end of a pen with a good squishy grip like the last one is what I ended up doing most often. I use a low temp glue gun and fill in the barrel. It makes a harder solid wall behind the brass piece. I have also flipped the bras and used the skinny end. It's great for rounds. I used poster tac in it instead of pink glue. Hope your hands start feeling better quickly.
Hello I have arthritis in my hands so I know that feeling a lot I found that making a pen helped me a lot I found same gel pens from a cheap store I used them as the pen first to see how I liked it once I knew that I found that I could not get the bit to go in far enough so I cut a bit off the tip of the pen then I had to cut the plastic down so I could put the pen back together but I have not used glue or put anything inside of it and I have not looked back since loved it so much that I have made the rest of the pack up so I have a single, a three and a nine drill don't have a six drill pen yet just waiting for it to come hope this helps other people.
I had the same problem with hand pain. I bought "the Pencil Grip" original 6 count on amazon. Ergonomic writing aid. I can hold the drill pen in a number of ways to keep my hand comfortable. I highly recommend it.
Have you seen the pens made from stabilo pens? There is a tutorial on you tube. The pens are ergonomic and come in right and left handed. I think I got mine on amazon but not sure.
If you leave the guts of the pen in like you tried doing, just cut some of the ink cartridge off towards the end where it was clear and no ink showing.
Ive superglued several into the tips of pens and so far havent had any come out. never thought of putting anything behind them, so you should be ok if you cant put anyting in there. =)
I've been using the pen without anything behind the tip and it's holding fine. I was worried I'd feel some movement when I pressed down drills, but it's totally solid. :) Thanks!
Hi I was watching another diamond pen person with hand pain and her name is “kicking cancers ass” I think. Anyway her diamond paintings come rolled up on a foam core. The pink drill pen fits right in the foam core and it works great for your hands. Check her out.
@@laurakramer396 I use it to mask off the extra adhesive on the edges of the canvas, so you're not sticking your hands in it while you work on your painting. Because it isn't super sticky, you can peel it off at the end. Some people also use it as a framing mat on their finished paintings.
I use the Stabilo EASYoriginal Rollerball Pen, Right or Left Handed. All you have to do is take out the ink and put the whole diamond painting pen in just cut a little the top. I got mine for $8 something. They are made of kids who are learning to write the packed say's allows for a relaxed hold to prevent muscle fatigue. Children and adults alike enjoy.
Ok for your hand you need to go to Walmart in the pharmacy section and buy you the then for your hand it warp around your hand and wrist it like a wristband. Because if you don’t you will have to have surgery on that hand.
Try a WeR QUICKKSTICK Precision pickup and Placement Tool. Has a nice tip with gel and the handle is FAT n wonderful to hold. Throw all the others away...bought on ebay
I'm having problems with my hands because I'm a nail tech, and I grip small tools, fingers, and toes in the same repetitive motions for 8-10 hours a day. I talk with my hands, it is what it is. At my age I don't really have any desire to try and change that aspect of myself, there are so many other important things to focus my energy on.
@@11Elma02 I made these videos for my friends who were starting diamond painting, that anyone else found them useful was a bonus. Chit-chat was the point, if you don't like it, move along

If you put a thin layer of masking tape on your drill pen, you can slide the foam/easy grip will fit better.
I've really enjoyed all your diamond painting videos. You reference your blog. Where can I find it?
The link to the blog is in the description bo of all of the videos. Thanks!
@@HotMessMiniatures Thank you so much. I was completely overlooking it!
Do you know if all the different diamond painting use the same DMC color coding...
You can cut the back end of ink tube to make it just short enough
Put the ink cartridge in but cut a little bit off the end then put back together
Thank you for sharing!🙏💜💜💜

Thanks for all the great ideas! I hope a fatter pen will help me as well!

For the last pen cut off some of the back of the ink cartridge.
I used the pink part of the drill pen to keep it in place by cutting it to fit😊
you should buy a stabilo pen they are great
Everyone talks about "washy tape". I've never heard of it and where do I get it. Thanks!
Laura Kramer Michael’s, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby, WalMart, Dollar store.
ok, but what is it for?
It’s simply decorative, used a lot by journal-ers scrapbookers, card makers. There are millions of patterns.

I have one of those, but I couldn't use it because the gap between the head and the barrel irritated my fingers. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Glue with e600 in you drill and let dry
Thanks for sharing
Hot glue works faster and you won’t have to wait long to get to use it
My dog ate the cord on my hot glue gun, and I haven't replaced it yet. :)
Maybe its cause you can't keep your hands still. Hate that you move them all over the place please STOP Othetwise like your videos

Come to the point. The video is much to long, because you explaint your haelt. 😡
This is the second video on my channel you've complained about. Maybe instead of commenting, you should just stop watching
@@HotMessMiniatures I stopped watching, but I warned you for further mistakes. Mostly a good video is max. 10 minutes long and has no chit-chat.
