i was really hoping that the wakatsuki sisters would show up in LoLK, like how Kasen finally appeared in-game in ULiL.
i was disappointed at first, but then when i found out LoLK's storyline, i understood why.

And the most disappointing is there is no Gengetsu nor Mugetsu since there is a dream world and yet i am relieved they're not appearing in this game since i don't want to get BAD OF A RAPE TIME by the Getsu Sister.(still LoLK is my all time favorite series next to LLS)

This theme always felt amazing for me. I hope that Watatsuki sisters will got Kasen treatment someday, just please ZUN, don't make them as much overpowered (for all seriousness I'm kind of okay with that).
They are some of the most broken characters in the series, if not the *most* broken. Of course they'd be OP.

@@enesyazar8851 Hecatia was extremely strong, but she fought for fun. Toyohime has never faced hardship and thus you most likely can't win against her and Toyohime makes attacks that are impossible to dodge(due to not being confined by the rules).
Yorihime was so badass in “silent sinner in blue” , but even tho she is still eirin’s student , as well as toyohime.
I love how the remixes in Fantasy Maiden Wars were able to make this into two completely different feeling tracks for each sister. The base song is still fantastic.

The Watatsuki sisters are such lovely characters.
It's a shame some people hate them because they're still butthurt Yorihime beat their waifus, and call her a Mary Sue completely missing the fact that she's basically the Lunarian version of Reimu, and just did the same thing Reimu does in every game: beat the shit out of some humans and youkai trying to cause trouble in her turf.
They're not even that powerful in the big picture, as their powers are limited to their home turf and Junko easily overpowers them.
Well, you forgot, that lunarians are also... nazis. And LoLK shows what a pathetic cowards they are.

The Moon are so racist they don't want anything to deal with us, Gensokyo is a glorified concentration camp for the sake of a minority(nothing against Minorities, unless they literally kill humans and steal animals like Youkai). So in SSiB the Watatsuki Sisters are the heroines and Eirin is the villain who the antagonists defeat. Not any different from Reimu and Marisa being used as weapons by Gensokyo's higher ups.

Hecatia is canonically the most powerful being in all of Touhou, as ZUN said going as far as saying she is on a whole new level compared to anyone in Gensokyo and the Lunar Capital

Y'know, I've only really thought about this now but, Watatsuki looks like Meira from back in Touhou 2. With the Katana, long violet hair with long bangs and in a ponytail. (Or whatever that long tied back style is called.)

Behind Eiki and probably Eirin, Yorihime is the third most powerful character in the entire Touhou Canon. Well, the third most powerful to actually appear. She's also the only one, to, well... flaunt it. She happens to bear some resembalence to one of the least known characters, as you said. I find that amusing.
Her sister, Toyohime, comes in fourth, if you are curious.
+Ori You're overlooking Reimu herself, ZUN has stated that if she used her full power without the limitations of the spellcard rules she'd be unbeatable. That's WHY the spellcard rules exist, so that anyone has a chance to beat the Hakurei miko in a fair fight.
Seeing as Touhou 2, 4, and 5 have been referenced in Windows canon, Mima and Shinki could probably be considered as well, as Shinki is God Almighty for Makai, and Mima could beat her without using the full power she fought Reimu with in Story of Eastern Wonderland.

There's a lot of touhou characters who could defeat these sisters. And quite a few who could obliterate the lunar capital in less than a second.
Hell they can't even deal with rampaging faries. Cirno is enough to deal with them.

Man I wonder how many people complaining about the Watatsuki's actually read Cage in Lunatic Runagate? Heck I wonder how many actually read all of Silent Sinner in Blue and aren't just complaining because it's the "cool" thing to do? I personally don't just think SSiB is a worthy addition to the series. It's one of my favorite touhou mangas in general! I just wish people would put more thought into their criticism and what ZUN was trying to achieve rather than just screaming SUE SUE IT'S A SUE without even bothering to check the source material...

Well she is not a Sue when she couldt beat Clownpiece or Junko and probably Sagume is more powerful than both of them, but the Wakatsuki did nothing wrong, they were teying to protect the moon from Yukari because she really make a whole plan to steal some sake and if you see Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the earth uou see that The wakatsuki sister are kind of goofy , also the only thing i didnt read was Cage of Lunatic Runagate , of what is about?
Definitely read Cage in lunatic runagate! It contains the actual ending to the story arc and reading both at the same time is how Silent Sinner in blue is meant to be read otherwise it's like you're skipping half the story. Also about your argument about Clownpiece keep in mind that Junko had turned the fairies into pure life force making them the thing the lunarians fear most as for Junko and Sagume as far as I know there isn't any evidence that they're stronger than the Watatsuki sisters in direct combat. Keep in mind that the Watatsukis are basically the leaders of the lunarian military whereas Sagume is as I recall just a political leader I'm not as Familiar with Legacy of the Lunatic Kingdom as I am with other storys so let me know if I'm wrong. Also most damningly ZUN said the Watatsukis are too strong to show up in a game so there's that. What I'm trying to say is that just the fact that a character is powerful does not make them a sue. Otherwise Yukari and Reimu would be sues! It's not about how powerful you are it's about the intent of the writer! A sue is a character who is powerful and loved in universe because the writer thinks it's cool and as a form of wish fulfillment. A character who is strong so the writer can demonstrate a point like the Watatsuki sisters Is most certainly not a sue! Anyway sorry for the long post I really like ZUN's writing and it really frustrate's me to see it so underappreciated.

Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth as much as I like it technically isn't written by ZUN so it's kinda ambiguously canon though he certainly approved it as such I didn't really bring it up that much. Anyway thanks for correcting me on Junko and sagume I don't know as much about them tbh

It's such a shame, I don't mind Toyohime that much, but Yorihime is such an amazing character: I love her design, her tsundere (I think? Never read the manga lol) look, her ability, and the fact that SHE USES A FRICKIN' SWORD. Girl + sword = *perfection*
And, I must say, I usually need to listen to certain themes multiple times before fully appreciate them. This was not the case! I loved it right away. What a powerful theme, oh boy, what a marvellous one!

I can't be the only one who loves the Watatsuki Sisters. I didn't know much about them at first, but after playing LostWord, I gained so much love towards them.
I remember after beating the extra in LotLK, Reimu talks to Junko and Heccatia and tell them something like: "The lunarians are our common ennemies". I wonder if when Zun wrote this, he just thought about Eirin, Kaguya, Reisen, Tewi and friends because they caused a whole incident in IN (even though they are in good terms now) or did he made Reimu directly reference SSiB where Reimu was frustrated to not have been able to beat Yorihime back then?
Probably the latter, Kaguya, Erin and Reisen, while Lunarians, they prefer the Earth now, and I'm sure Reimu doesn't hate them, they were just inconveniences for Gensyoko when they made the incident in IN, pretty sure they are in good terms now, especially with Reisen (btw, Tewi and the rabbits aren't Lunarians)

The PC - 98 games unfortunately do not use a Roland SD-series synth as a sound card, so no fan favorites like the Romantic TP, Reed Romance or Celtic Ens.

There is no single good Lunarian in the series. Kaguya softened up, but only after hundred of years killing Mokou and vice versa. Eirin still uses Reisen as either a guinea pig to test new medicine (without her consent) or a punching bag whenever things don't go as she pleases. And don't start with the others.

Since theurgy is Yorihime's whole shtick, I wonder if she is able to call upon omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient gods like the ones from Christianity and Islam. Would make her even more OP than she already is.
Hell, in theory she could even call upon Kanako, Suwako or any other Gensokyo god. Just imagine if Sanae was present in Silent Sinner in Blue and Yorihime pulled a "no u" whilst battling against her.
She wouldn't call upon such "impure" gods. She'd only call upon Lunarian gods.

I'm quite confident Yahweh is not omnipotent in touhou, Hecatia has already been described by Zun as the strongest character from touhou. In truth, all gods originate from humanity's worship and devotion; they are a manifestation of people's beliefs through the personification of nature's elements. As such, divinity is not transcendental to nature but rather a part of it. Thus, abrahamic religions are inherently at odds with the belief systems touhou is based off, so the abrahamic god would likely be an extensively watered down version from the biblical records.
according to lore all the gods are omnipresent in their primordial forms(they also have type 2 transduality and non-existant physiology), even hecatia said that her body is nothing but a meaningless form

The thing that bugs me the most about them is that(to my knowledge) Reimu and her friends canonically can't beat Yorihime since she's too OP, yet she's able to defeat Hecatia, who is confirmed to be the most powerful TouHoe in the series, and Junko, where she had to fight her TWICE as the final boss and in extra stage in LoLK? And on top of that, having to fight both Hecatia and Junko at the same time during Heca's non-spells.
Of course, the only reason why Reimu and her friends stood a chance against Junko and Heca is that Eirin helped them by making the Ultramarine Orb Elixir which allowed the protags to stand a chance again the Lunarians, and the Watatsuki sisters are both Lunarians.. so why didn't Eirin just help them again? It's not like Eirin doesn't know about them and their abilities, since Yorihime is her self-proclaimed successor(SSiB confirms this). I guess this can be explained that she didn't have the right materials since SSiB happened in 2007-2008 and LoLK happened in 2015.
But if not, then what's the reason? Did she just not give a shit? Is she terrified of them? Does she get outclassed by them?
..Either way, I really hope the Watatsuki sisters don't get thrown into the bin of Touhou characters who appear once majorly and never return whatsoever. There's absolutely no reason for such badass and strong characters to just.. not get another major appearance at all.
ZUN already stated that Hecatia was just playing around. She didn't have any intentions of beating the Lunarians or the protagonists. Hecatia's real plan was to sneak Clownpiece into Gensokyo so she could have a better life far away from the cruel hell.
Eirin doesn't know anything about Hecatia, she was just aware of Junko. Heck, not even Eiki knows much about Hecatia, and this one is her boss.
Eirin did help the Watatsukis when the SDM and Reimu went to the moon. She wrote a letter with everything they have to do in order to win.

Junko is a hard counter to Lunarians
the fan works by purifying all impure things down to the atomic level. However, since Junko is already purified, the fan cannot affect her.

So they only won because of eirin guidance and instructions. I mean yeah they’re strong but will they still win if they didn’t get a heads up or rather a clue of an attack? Also, I looked like reimu could have a chance but didn’t study enough. So, if reimu took it seriously I think she might have an actual chance or at least make it a definite draw? Anyways, I love them but man they’re too op which it makes things so boring but still I want to know more about them. I hope there’s more in the future like lolk but junko did say that she will halt her assault for the time but will plan to attack them later. Pretty sure it's well known by now, but the Watasuki sisters are so Sue it hurts. I mean, defeating Reimu, Remilia, Sakuya and Marisa after just learning about the spellcard rules? Dang. Better give one of them the ability to disable abilities. Love the theme though, very catchy. Also, PC-98 FTW!
+Dawn [insert last name here] I'm fairly certain that Yorihime and Toyohime are the Lunar equivalents of Reimu and Yukari in terms of abilities and responsibilities, respectively, except the Watatsuki sisters are exceptionally hardworking and no-nonsense compared to Reimu and Yukari. This comes from the fact that the sisters failed the Lunarian civilization multiple times before, and are trying to fill in a power gap left by Eirin when she betrayed the moon (one of their failures was letting her get away with it, because how could they fight their old mentor?), something they can never really accomplish but continue to work their butts on in order to redeem themselves in the eyes of Lunar society. They're a really misunderstood pair, both by the Lunarians and the Earth (and by extension, the fandom), which kind of justifies their power, as people who can't fit in anywhere have to be strong to survive (and let's not forget, they're Lunarians, making them essentially superhuman to begin with).

They are not. Junko can create Gods, Kaguya plays with the concept of eternity. Eiren is a super genius who can do Mutiple things like create a fake moon, using her strong magic. Sagume can curse and direct the way reality flows. We really shouldn’t be saying that they are overpowered in Lunarian terms, when others are just as strong as them.

She isn't even that bad of a character people. SSiB just plain sucks.
Even after reading the extended ending in CiLR, the whole ordeal still didn't feel worth it to me. I really like Yorihime, but she often feels like an OC created solely to demonstrate how she's apparently better than the canon cast. I wanted to see more of her, but she doesn't get much characterization beyond that and being a pupil of Eirin.
Basically, a good concept mixed with bad writing decisions. Sounds a lot like Scrappy Doo, except here we've gone down so many layers of exaggerated hatred for the Watatsukis that there is exaggerated hatred for people who don't like them.

@@jouheikisaragi6075 I hate Toyohime's holier than thou attitude in canon, but I friggin like her portrayal in KKHTA. Well to be precise, I love to hate her, she is awesomely vile, twisted, and rotten (despite being from a pure land known as The Moon).
I like that she is portrayed as a "retired soldier then became politician" who abuses her authority, manipulated Satori (her fellow race, by the way) and fed lies to human. Exactly that is what always happen in real life.
@@PissG Toyohime's weird since her myth and backstory makes her prime for being an eventual Moon Deserter as well. Yet nothing's done with her. That's the main sin of the Watatsuki Sisters. They're not properly taken advantage of so they just end up as giant jobbers(despite how much ass they kick, they exist to make Yukari look smart) with very little to them.
I have cut off Touhou from my life because this sorta shit is a bit too common, and sadly, the series fell into a loop of only the popular characters show up in the extended media and since they show up more, they remain more popular. So some folks like the Watsukis, Medicine, Shou, Tojiko and almost everyone from 16 not named Okina end up in a rut of being niche at best and forgotten at worst(Medicine is probably the single least recurring character in the games)
