so beautiful, I can see all the love put into this project. I wish there was an official HO model of 777 from the movie. if there was i would get back into the hobby again just have a piece of movie history but I guess CSX crazy 888 will do since that was it's real number lol
I have a question what kinda paint remover do you that's safe for plastic because Ive been trying to find one that works with plastic without destroying it
@@jigginwithryan5334 Yes, all AC4400CWs are made by GE, but Canadian Pacific owns quite a few of them, so it makes sense for him to say a Canadian Pacific AC4400CW
my man, you are an absolute creative genius with this. I've been searching for this train as a model for my father for a couple years. he loves trains but the movie just put it over the top. amazing!!
Wonderful job on the 777! How about doing a video on building the steam locomotive from the 1980 movie TERROR TRAIN? The steam engine that was used for the movie was Canadian Pacific now Ohio Central 4-6-2 G5D class 1293 built at the Canadian Locomotive Company in 1948. In the film the train was painted Blue with Silver stripes or accents. Wouldn't that be a cool train to work on? Please leave a like and comment. Still love your 777.
Painting is not hard. MASKING is the hard part, as this excellent video demonstrates. I usually confine myself to the easy ones, SP and Cotton Belt, with an occasional D&RGW tossed in.
The first time I saw "Unstoppable" was in a film course in college. I really liked the suspense and excitement in the film, plus the cast was really good.
Ooohhh Nice! One thing I am about to dive into, when I get a bit more money /supplies... is refurbishing. At my local train shows people are always selling junk trains that are dusty, old and need a nice hand. I cant wait to get my hands on them and get to work. Great work.
I remember watching this video when it came out and wondered, why don't any company's make these? but I bet if they did, they wouldn't be as good as this one
Good job. Painting scheme AWVR locomotive. AC4400CW 777. HO scale. Despaint and paint locomotive. Despaint CP Rail locomotive and paint Ferromex scheme. Paint red. Use masking tape for color green and white. My Ferromex locomotive HO scale.
...so...where's the 2nd unit? :p Seriously, though, awesome work! Found this while prepping for building my crazy eight, which will involve maybe 1% of the scope of this AVR project. You are a master craftsman to be sure.
@@ScrepTure and that's what the side of the hood reads....the black V is actually the W with the white V covering 50% just like the real thing....check real pictures, he is 100% accurate....
This was before Circus City Decals and Graphics offered the decals for 777. Very good job on the paint work. Only thing that always irks me when most people build a replica of the 777, is either use wrong engine, dash 9, or don't use the correct side frames on the trucks......777 had the steerable side frame trucks.....
Beautiful Work! It is incredible! But, you kind of forgot one detail... In this movie, 777 has a Black Arrow type of thing located on the hood. If you skip to Chapter 20, Which is the Derailleur scene, you will see a Black Arrow on the hood.
Simply awesome !! how much I would like to have another one like that, I love that locomotive, next to the movie. I imagine that you will have made it for you and that you do not make more copies to sell them. Again ... congratulations for that great job!
the best job I have seen with 777. the decal set does not come with the black triangle for the hood. I notice no one ever paints it on the hood right in front of the windshields. Any way that is a lot of talent.
Excellent Work, You inspire me to build my own engines.. If only it took only 26 minutes to do ! ! Thanks for posting your projects, I subbed and look forward to future videos and builds..!!!
Absolutely amazing👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍and I will give this video a 10 out of 10 good work. keep up the awesome work!!!!!*********************************************
Dear Erik, I have just watched & witnessed the best video ever in my life!! What you do to create the accuracy of these models is beyond belief! I stand in awe to you for what you do & the perfectionist that you are! I'm sorry but I am lost for words as to what I have just witnessed....dumb-founded mate.....do not know what else to say. My kindest & respectful regards, John.
Your comment is so much appreciated mate. As I usually like to say, life is too short for having or making mediocre models. Or, as Master Yoda say, you do it or you do it not. There's no try... :) :)
Me and my dad are wanting to do this but we don’t know how and we are not super good at really good details and taking stuff apart and putting it together again but I like the vid
I think you need to modify the rear headlight from two to one since that's the way CP did it and you'll need to fix the trucks to the correct type. other than that, great job!

@Gerda Ailstock I'm sorry but what is wrong with you
Sometimes I looks at this kind of stuff and I go omg people are so talented
its very fitting that you started with a Canadian Pacific train, the train in the movie was Canadian Pacific 9777 that was re-painted

Amazing Video.... Great Hardwork.... 🇮🇳
Painting scheme AWVR locomotive in the movie Unstoppable.
Good job my friend.
I really hope the fact he used a CP Rail engine was just ironic
Not ironic, just a coincidence.
ok, pretty cool coincidence lol
NPTNReddek I don’t get the coincidence
Lumbum Trains After The Movie, 777 Went Back To The CP Livery.
I think it was because 777 was just a repainted CP locomotive.

The first time I saw "Unstoppable" was in a film course in college. I really liked the suspense and excitement in the film, plus the cast was really good.
My sentiment exactly. Plus, Tony Scott somehow succeed to give the train kind of "life", as a true villain, rarely seen in movies. I admire that.
