I couldn't agree more, Rust in Peace was Megadeths best album of all time.
It has the best production, It really stands above most albums of this era.
No weak songs like Peace Sells, though I still say the first half of Peace Sells is better than the first half of Rust in Peace. Overall RIP is better of course.
Peace Sells is far better imo! Except for I Ain't Superstitious of course! Everyone I know that loves Peace Sells hates that cover! Very out of place.

Sacrifice is such an underappreciated band, unbelievable that they went so unnoticed
Yes one of the best
Canadian band from Scarborough, Ontario (let's say Toronto for those not familiar).. if they were from the US or if they would have relocated there, then chances are they would have probably gotten bigger/more attention!! 🤘🤘🤘 Legendary thrashers.. seen them live and have met all 4 members!!! Also, Gus Pynn - Sacrifice drummer - could have filled in on drums for Slayer the first time Lombardo left.. he could have auditioned*** for Slayer, he got the offer, but politely declined as Sacrifice were just starting to build momentum + the band's second record Forward To Termination was in the works too at the time!! 🤘🤘🤘🥁🥁🥁🍻🍻🍻 In the end, it was Tony Scaglione of Whiplash that ended up getting the gig & filling in for/replacing Dave Lombardo during a leg of the Reign In Blood tour, & then at some point Lombardo returned. So Gus probably made the right choice, by staying in Toronto with his band/buddies - Sacrifice!! Had he left for Slayer, who knows what would have happened with Forward To Termination & Soldiers Of Misfortune?! 🤘🤘🤘🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🥁🥁🥁 It all worked out in the end..
I really liked that snippet of Artillery. I had never heard of them before.
You have missed out, probably the premier Scandinavian thrash band, they had a power metal edge to their music, especially later on.
I'm very happy you included Morbid Saint in the top ten...Spectrum of Death is really an extreme trip! Also number one is definitely on point! Awesome job as usual 💥
Thank you, Cheers!
Anthrax POT is a underrated masterpiece, technical, dark and the drums... the drums! It should be between the top 10.
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Anthrax - Persistence of Time
Slayer - Seasons
Kreator - Coma
Testament - Souls of Black (the mix kills it, but musically is heavier and way better than practice)
all above are masterpieces
Cheers! I agree, all great albums, even if not all of them made it this time. :)
Absolutely, unequivocally agree with you, its # 2 behind R. I. P., and also Death Angel act 3 is another great gem
Slayer - SITA
Kreator - COS
Megadeth - RIP
All albums are a masterpiece, but my favourite is Seasons In The Abyss :3
A good one!
Seasons in the abyss is very underrated
From beginning to end it’s great. Spirit in Black makes me turn up my radio every time!!
Rust In Peace by Megadeth and Seasons In the Abyss by Slayer are easily my top 2 for sure!
Cheers!
it should be a universal opinion
Agree. Two the strongest and pretty much creative records.
When Slayer came out with Seasons, nobody could touch them.
Rust In Peace is for me the best Megadeth album, and 1990's best thrash record. Great stuff! Again, great list, man
Thank you, Cheers!

Boom, let's do this. Was waiting for this one.
Let's go! :)
Now we need Top 10 Death metal albums of each year
maybe of all time. it would be a bad list if I did my top 10. :D
I expected Rust In Peace to be #1, but your lists tend to include bands that are obscure (to me) in highly ranked positions and I was afraid you'd have some proto-death metal thrash hybrid band from Lichtenstein as your #1 and I was prepared to hunt you down for putting any record ahead of RIP. j/k. sort of.
hehe, but sometimes those Liechtenstein thrash albums are better than the big names. ;) Cheers!
Swallowed in Black by Sadus is my favorite thrash album of 1990 coming from a lesser known band. I rank Rust in Peace and Seasons in the Abyss higher, but its the unsung heroes that need to get more attention.
Seasons in the Abyss is my absolute no.1...as soon as MTV aired War Ensemble, I was obsessed..Close second would be a tie eith both Rust in Peace and Oppressing the masses...imo...1990 was the Golden Age of thrash where good music meets quality production
For sure, it kinda went south after that.
My top 3: Seasons In The Abyss, Coma Of Souls, Rust In Peace. In that order. Great year for all metal generally and the last good for thrash.

Pantera 1990 on is most often considered groove metal which is sort of an offshoot of thrash but has elements of death metal.
That Morbid Saint album cover looks way to much like Iron Maidens Eddie

Hell, yeah! Fantastic list!
Overall great list and great year!🤘 i don't know why Cracked Brain has so much hate, i thought it was a great album and it was also the reason why i became a destruction fan. Mostly because at the time i couldn't stand Schimer's vocals.
Also, i don't know at who i should be more surprised and angry with. Ruthless metal because he ranked Seasons In The Abyss #6 or the Internet for ranking Coma of Souls #8 lol
Yes, I think people diss it because it ain't Schmier and that it doesnt really sound like a Destruction record. But it is a great thrash album. I'm always right, the internet is wrong. ;) hehe
The main reason why that album was hated was because it wasn't sounded on how destruction was suppose to be sounded as a thrash metal record but I like some songs on this album ehh💀🤘//.

Yes Sir! Cheers!
Don’t get me wrong, I love Metallica. But the black album didn’t help Metal at all, instead, killed it slowly. Then we had the Pantera shit growing and it got fucked up.
ngl, when my 12yo sister (who was a boyband/pop freak) wanted a copy of the black album, i jumped off the metallica ship , swam to Black/Death Metal land and never looked back.
At that point thrash had ran its course. Sure there are some great albums after this but as a genre thrash failed to re-invent itself and it died out. Metallica did the right thing and jumped ship when they could. Now thrash is more underground and that's what most of you propably prefer since you always have to hate anything thats popular, like Metallica...
And when it comes to metal as a whole, what the hell are you talking about, it never died.
And might I add here, thrash also evolved into more extreme genres
Nirvana killed metal
I'm genuinely curious to see the transition from 80ies to 90ies Thrash. A lot of brutal stuff came out that decade.
Keep up the good work dude🤘
yeah, prog thrash and death thrash took over more or less completely in 92 and forward.
Awesome!!! now 2 new song to my Apple music 🔥🔥🔥🔥
How come you put Atheist - Piece of time under honorable mentions? Sadus -SIB maybe but Atheist - huh, I really can't see Piece of time as an thrash album.
