It’s brilliant that you played the jaw harp with a Scottish accent 😂

that tooth chipping vid is haunting me. I really wanna get into the jaw harp. Pretty cool that you made all that progress in 1 day.

Go for it! As long as you keep your mouth/teeth in the right position you should be safe from chipping your tooth 👍

which looks so fake, like he just painted his tooth black. I can sort of still see its shape. Of course you could still chip your teeth this way, just that one tiktok looks fake.

After about 3 years on and off learning to play the harp - I only have one super tiny chip from the tip of my canine. It's so miniscule that I've only ever noticed it much later when trying to get out a bit of food that stuck between my teeth.
In fact I'm not sure if it's because of the harp. Could be something completely unrelated.

This Vargan (Khomus) is from the workshop of Pavel Potkin located in Atlai Republic. Good, easy to use instrument. I've got couple of these things too. More then 10 years of nice playing

Don't forget to try playing it with inward strikes as well as outward strikes

Nice! Sounding good. I started playing last month. I have 4 already lol also have the P. Potkin. Some harps are also better played back plucked. I play morchang style more often because of better control, but you get less volume. Cool video 👍

This instrument called "ağız kopuzu" and was invented by the ancestor of turks in asia, and some of you wouldn't believe it but in the beggining it was literally made out of wood. From turks to anatolia, africa and europe, from mongolians to other asian countries like india ( there are more instruments that india got from mongolians )

Have you tried the melodic jaw harp style?
You can get 1 full major scale octave (with one extra note) + parts of other octaves at the top and bottom range.

After: "Nevermind, I can't afford the dentist."
