I've played these things on and off since childhood. I now have a Russian harp by Dmitry Glazyrin, best harp I've ever owned, it sounds amazing, BUT... I sure can't play it this good. Very very nice playing here!

In a similar principle as a Harmonica, any Mouth Harp can be played as a drone by sucking air inwards if the tongue is offset slightly outwards, out of alignment with the frame.

Yeah, it's a great instrument, gives a great amount of energy. Indigenous people here in Russia dance to its sounds up to 10 hours:)

Yes, you trill your tongue, you just don't vocalize the "R" sound.
