laundry? Go to pub which is also a deli, probably the post office all in one. Ask about laundry, they'll probably take your laundry bag and give you a ticket. Come back the next day, pay and collect nicely folded laundary.
One who enjoys doing laundry,won’t work for me. Looking to put washer on our sailboat.

..... so are you doing the whole of the UK or returning to reset your Schengen clock ... do not know for fact but have heard Croatia and Turkey are also not in ..... sorta know what you are saying re clothes, living in the Okanagan. in the fall kind of nice to put on a warmer shirt after summer which is more or less shorts .... always gets me people that figure the doors on washers should be closed when not in use, yes they do stink .... Travis, you need to figure out a cradle system that you can strap under the boat and then, because you are back to where there are tides, sit over a beach at high tide and wait for it to go out and do you hull work even if it is not fully out of the water .... seeing all the foods is incredible, have seen some footage of various places in Europe at year round markets.. all I can say is WoW! ..... thx for sharing ,, as always ... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
We’re weighing all our options! Yep even had a sign about not washing pet bedding/blankets so that could have been it too! Totally thought about the hull work at low tide as well😝. Thanks for watching as always, Peter!
@@SailingJibsea ..... animal blankets .... you know the hair that builds up in a shower drain from human hair, can you imagine the hair that comes off a shedding dog's blanket, and the headaches/blockages that would create and possible pump damage .... yes, to use an old phrase "the world is your oyster" and the choices you have are awesome ones ... thx for your reply ... make it a week of awesomeness .... cheers ....

So now that you have sailed across the Atlantic ocean are you going to get an anchor tattoo? Tradition has it that when young sailors first crossed the Atlantic they got an anchor tattoo. So if you saw a sailor with an anchor you know they had sailed across the Atlantic.

Wonderful video. Great restaurants in Kinsale, hoping you sail to Brazil. Sweet Ruca are there, and Ilhabela looks like St. Barths 40 years ago.

Hey, I'm from Toronto too. I live at the very top of Parliament & Bloor. I love the grocery shopping in other countries too, love all the new stuff. If you plan to spend any time in The Netherlands, make sure you drop into the Vissershaven marina in The Hague. Its directly off the North Sea, instead of goofing around down a bunch of canals and waterway in Rotterdam or Amsterdam. I lived there for a bunch of years, so I'm partial to the people in that friendly town. Just up the beach about 5 minutes to the NE is the Zahara Cocktail bar, owned by my good friend Gunnar. Tell him the long haired Canadian sent you, he'll have a laugh.

I see you have decided to explore Scotland and beyond. If it were me I would sit out the winter in the UK mainly because you would only have ninety days in the Med unless you can get all the way to Turkey or North Africa. Somewhere like Ipswich which is on the east coast up the River Orwell. It's miles from the sea and the marina is right in the town centre. PBO magazine has quite a good marina guide for the UK.
We thought about that option, only thing is marinas are quite expensive in the UK and the GBP kills our weak dollar 😣 thanks for the suggestion! We’ll have to look Ipswich up!

What do you guys do for heat on the boat? do you have central heat and air?
We don’t hahah. Freeze and bundle up. We have AC and it also pushes some heat but would use way too much power. Unless it’s less than 5C we run our external generator to hook up a small electrical heater.

This is only partially correct. Only Northern Ireland is not part of the EU. The rest of Ireland IS. So yes it does count towards the amount of time you can be in the EU. I have Irish citizenship and I live in France without a visa …………..
@@kathleenverlin1691 yes but the Schengen country visitors visa which is what you receive as a Canadian citizen is different than the visa to travel in the eu. So although being part of the EU matters for your visas, it really has zero effect on ours. For instance Norway isn’t an EU country but they are part of the Schengen Agreement, so our visa when entering mainland EU for three months includes Norway and a couple of other non eu countries. Makes it difficult when trying to stay for longer than 3 months and figuring out where we can or can’t be.
