Fantastic 360 degree camera footage showing off your new Precision sails, both the main and the 140% look magnificent both in cut and the draft. The remote windlass must be a blessing, your episode on the install was splendid. We do hope your bout with the cold passes soon, so that the enjoyment won't be deterred. Again, fantastic to see you sailing again and we can't wait for future episodes. Thanks for sharing!
Back in the day pirates would tortue men sort of the same way you cleaned the transducer . They would tie a man to the ropes and drag them back and forth across the bottom of the boat that would be full of barnacles . Fun times !
I love your creative solutions to boat projects and problem solving! A mix of shots is fun- whatever conditions safely allow. Jibsea is like the HGTV of the sailing RUclips world 🌎😎⛵️looking crisp and clean out there!
....Whoot Whoot .. and they are off .. let the adventures begin ..... insta 360 observations... great for social media posts, quick edits on phone and post, the hold camera in one spot and get those shots that would have been missed otherwise by moving the point of focus in editing ... take note of horizon when editing, can easily get that view where you are in a trough where the edges of the horizon are higher than the center ... one thing I find humorous is the great feature that gets rid of the selfie stick but there is the giveaway of the shadow .... great to see that you both are excited to be off the dock and going places again ... thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, ust dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
Yeah! It’s a nifty and fun little gadget! The invisible selfie stick is cool but you’re right, you can see it’s shadow sometimes lol. Hoping to get different views and play around with it to see what we can get underway 😃
@@SailingJibsea ...... the shadow of the stick is minuet compared to what it all has to offer ... like you never have to worry if your camera is pointing at what you want ... like in editing switching from front to back lens while editing, also the camera is on you and you want to show what you are talking about, drag the screen to that point and this is on your linked phone and in seconds you have a short to share realtime .... I'm just starting out also but love it's capabilities, still watching YT videos of things to know about .... thx for your response .. make it an exquisite week ...
Love seeing new sails fly, crispy and fresh!!! i bet you can point a little better with them now as well! Love the 360 Cam views adds a little extra to the show for sure. Nice to see you guys sailing again!
Glad to see you are out and sailing once again. Camera shots by drone and the special effects I guess I can say were cool. Safe sailing and will see what next week brings
Miss the projects, but good to see you sailing again. Bet you can't wait to shed those Canadian parkas and boots and gloves etc. Mix up the shots. Drone shots are great when you fly over the islands and shoreline. Gives a nice perspective of the area
I continue to follow your channel. As I continue to appreciate you guys and what you share with us. It must have been quite a relief to finally set sail!! I like drone shots. They add another perspective, a third eye. Bon voyage and enjoy yourselves at sea. God Bless.
That is a very tidy boat. The new camera, based on the short test run, gives the camera work a whole new dimension - very good and I hope it gets utilised in future videos along with the drone. I think Sailing Florence has something similar and does give excellent 'sailing' vision. Enjoyed.
The sails look great and so happy to see you on the move again. Hope you start feeling better and looking forward to your next adventures. The new camera works great you can never beat a great drone shot. You both take care and safe winds.
Hey, if you tie a human between two ropes and drag them under the boat from the bow to the stern, it is called "Keel hauling" and used to be a form of punishment many didn't survive. FYI
Glad you guys are back on the move! News sails are looking awesome too. As for the types of shots/cameras I’d say the varied is great. It’s cool to see all of the perspectives and it probably makes it more interesting for yourselves as well.
Hi guys, iam feeling excited for you both being on the move again, and the varied Camara shots look awesome, as do the sails full of wind. Can't wait to see you near Malta, as my dad used to talk about that beautiful island from his days in the navy. I miss his sailing stories so much, so enjoy your trip, why we go along with you, with so much enjoyment. 😊 from nz.
Out of curiosity, how come you don't just pull it from the inside? Most sounders are threaded and can be pulled back into the boat and a blank put in it's place for exactly this reason(to clean/perform maintenance). Or is yours not able to do that?
Another great video. Love the new recording gear. What are the clip on mics? They sound awesome. I see you have 2 anchors...a mantus (looks like a 65#), plus an old school anchor; do you ever use the older anchor?
Thanks! The mics are Hollyland Lark M1s. We love them. Especially when the camera is further away. We have a Rocna as our main and we’ve used our secondary (Bruce) as a stern anchor a couple of times. We also have a Fortress but haven’t set that up

Thanks David! For sure that remote windlass has been such a great little tweak. Crazy how the small things make the world of difference.

That sounds just awful, but then again, also not surprised
Keelhauling

Stick cam is good!
360 distorts. I prefer the drone!!
Love the new camera!
Love the 360 camera as well as the drone shots when you're able to do them!

Nothing like a set of new wings to start off the season! Can’t wait to get more. Thanks Marko!
Niiiiiiice to see you back at it. Good for the soul. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝👙🌞✨

Inspiring indeed. Safe travels. Slainte!
Thanks Jim!
I bet you guys just cruise around listening to Christopher Cross all day😅😅
Great video
Thank you☺️☺️
Killer Sunrises!! 👌
The best!!
Your Insta360 shots are great. I just got one a month ago and I have taken several videos on my sailboat and my 14' Avon.
Nice! Gives a neat alternate perspective doesnt it!

Happy to be making some ground for sure! Thanks Gary

Ya we recently learned that 🫣😳
Glad you guys are back on the move! News sails are looking awesome too.

We love a good drone shot! Catching it though sometimes, not so much love 🤣🤣
👍
Yippee! You are not tie to the dock anymore.
Beautiful sail. New camera is cool. I prefer "B", mixed of both
Whoo hoo!!

Thanks Brian! We hope we can make it all the way there with the time we have!
I like the new camera but always keep the drone shots too. Keep up the good work.
Mix up all the different views !!
Cool. Enjoy. Hello from Ireland. Glad you enjoyed Ireland. You guys seem awesome. Well done on your adventure
Just replied to your previous comment lol. Yep , we returned 😅. Thank you!
@@SailingJibsea great.
So, was it just like riding a bike. Sailing again ? Hope you feel better Stephanie!
Got back into the swing of it pretty quick! Thanks David!
Awww, the video was too short 😢 Look forward to the next! 😊
😊😊
You know...I have never seen anyone clean the plaque off their boat by flossing their boat.😮 Glad it worked.
Beats a cold swim!
Shots are great guys.Very tricky to fly a drone off a sailboat, especially underway! Great stuff.
Don’t we know it!😂 (our Atlantic crossing lol) love drone shots though!
Out of curiosity, how come you don't just pull it from the inside? Most sounders are threaded and can be pulled back into the boat and a blank put in it's place for exactly this reason(to clean/perform maintenance). Or is yours not able to do that?
We’ve never tried it and didn’t want to bring any salt water inside the boat if we didn’t have to. So glad it worked😅

@@SailingJibsea ah oh. thank you.
Are you limited to only 90 days in the EU?
Unfortunately so
Nice guys. Keep at it. Love the channel. Hope to be doing the same at some point!!
My husband and I prefer you not using the drone in your videos. Enjoy your videos!
Thanks for letting us know ☺️
Use all means of cinematography when making your vlogs please.
