- Evo has been an inspiration to so many B-Boys, and if you've never seen him, or never seen B-Boying at its best watch this movie.
In the late 1980's B-boying faded out of Britain in a haze of inglorious mediocrity.
A few battle hardy teenagers kept a torch burning into the 1990's, awaiting the
opportunity to shine once more.
Amongst such legends as Street Machine, and alongside the mythical Storm and Swiftrock, a humble, quietly spoken B-boy emerged and so began the revolution.
Evo obliterated his opponents with a mixture of style, musicality and incredible power. He won three world titles and the reputation of British B-boying was taken
to a new level.
The DVD will remain on sale, and we urge people to support independent film making by buying it, but in order to guarantee that this documentary gets the audience it deserves we have chosen to put it out there 'officially'; removing the need to make illegal copies of it! ;-[
"The guy that inspired a movement." Lonestar "I always tried to be as fast as him... but it was impossible." Storm "We were inspired by what he did. It made what we do today possible." Vietnam "He had it all. He had power, he had finesse, he had style." Focus FEATURING B-BOY EVO B-BOY STORM STREET MACHINE B-BOY NICO B-BOY MOUSE DJ HOOCH DJ TIMBER AND MANY MORE PRODUCTION DESIGN LISA THOMAS FEATURING THE MUSIC OF "COLOR CLIMAX" BREAKIN BREAD DISTRIBUTED BY BOOMBOX DISTRIBUTION NETWORK AND "TOMMY C" ADDITIONAL FOOTAGE; THE UK B-BOY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STREET MACHINE TUF TIM TWIST Кино
It's awesome to see that some of the unsung hero's of the B Boy world from the UK aka Evo and Second to none are getting their recognition that they truly deserve. They held on to the art form when it wasn't fashionable in the publics eye anymore. Not caring about what others thought and taking it forward along with Swift rock and Storm in Europe from the 80's into the late 90's developing and evolving it bridging the gap that so easily could have been void. Massive respect and props for keeping the UK and European B Boy flame alive. Peace
Well said!!
Probably the best I've seen in the flesh...incredible power and speed.
Evo and Asa (Second To None) The Best Bboys to ever come outta UK
Never seen him do flare>90 before except in this video...also this guy had crazy 1 handed continuous Halos and weird stuff like backspin to 90s
I remember him as a young lad with Ultimate Street Rockers in the early/mid 80s, came to Morecambe for the UK breakdancing championships in 85
tru legend and top guy .. never seen anyone with so much skills
one&only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EVO....
I was in a crew with Evo in the early 80's called Supreme Team from Old Trafford in Manchester. Evo was always killing it in practice, him and another guy called Paul Brown were the best breakers I've ever seen up close, a shout out to Dizzy Lee and Antonaki from Supreme Team from Lazy D. 👍😊
It was so natural for Evo when he was in the floor. DOPE!
i watched him dance many times in the early 80's around sale , altricham and manchester and even then he was dope , a mix of style , speed and raw power .
It's incredible how well-rounded he is. He's got all four elements of bboying and more, and he's great at all of them.
Didn't know John Cusack could get down!
I saw him in 2001 he was Judge at the Battle of the year Greece & When he made backspin to 90' our Chin fall Down......& It's still amazing because everytime we discuss about unusual power combos we remember this one;-))))))
Real Inspiration B-boy!!!
Much Respect EVO!!!!
Fuk that was inspiring! It gave me feelings I haven't had in nearly thirty years! that adrenaline buzz I'd get from seeing dudes throwin down and wanting to jump in that circle!
