@@pickzkickz Did you see what our defense did to Caleb? That was what happened when they abandoned the run. So you’re saying we should let other defenses doing that to our star Qb? Do we really want to go back to being the 21-22 Texans? That’s what will happen if Stroud gets hurt.
@@devonpettigen7779 Mixon didn’t get injured until he got hip dropped, and wasn’t running effectively before that. That game against Indy, guess what? Against GB Indy allowed 128 yards rushing in the first half. Translation, Indy’s run defense is ass this year, that game is an outlier and we still haven’t fixed the run game issues.
@@devonpettigen7779 They run it on first down almost every single time in every single game, going all the way back through last season. It has never been effective, yet as this lady said, they do it over and over and over
You have to look at where those sacks occurred. They almost always occur when the defense knows you have to pass and can blitz, stunt or otherwise cause blocking confusion. If you pass half the time on first down the defense does not know for sure what you are doing and causes them to play you more straight up. If you run every time on first down then they can stack the box and make it difficult to run.
@@devonpettigen7779 Actually, he does. We have a FB in the game, gonna be a run, 2 TEs, run again. Motion the WR across the formation or into the backfield in shotgun, Surprise! It’s a run! All last year and in Chicago when we struggle against the run, he goes into Big formations and will continue to force the run.
Can Mina explain how CJ only had 2.7 seconds per drop back attempt? Maybe we should just abandon the run like Chicago did, and let the defense tee off on our star Qb. Our offensive line with all 5 starters in Indy and 4 starters in Chicago looks worse in pass pro than the 2nd, 3rd string, and practice squaders did last season. The reason we haven’t hit the deep ball more is because it isn’t getting blocked up front and when targeted receivers are also dropping balls. This is the problem with National Media, they watch highlights, read box scores, and plug in analytics numbers, but don’t watch the games. I know Mina was all in on the Texans this offseason but, damn girl, throw on some tape!
Guess these dudes never heard of,"in game adjustments"!! Cause its clear that Slowik isnt making any. Offense kept on throwing tha same slant till it almost turned into a pick.
This is what my biggest gripe is. His adjustment, if any, is just not good at all, or he will just do the same thing while the defense obviously made changes to match what he is doing.
@BerserkRain this is what happened continuously last year and against Baltimore in the playoffs. He's using Tank as a gadget guy when he's proven to be a damn good reciever
Open up the offense 🙏🏾U got a top 3 QB & weapons for days. What are we doing?
Don’t open the playbook deep if you don’t have too. Once it’s in tape it will be studied.
You lose the element of surprise.
Facts
Only ran it 22 times and passed 36. This take makes no sense. You can’t just pass every play, won’t be able to set up play action that way
And no yards.....had to stop. Especially Mixon going down.

They ran it on first down for very little yardage almost every single time. Just like they did last year.
The missed the point
Hmmmm… can’t say she’s wrong.
This applies to one game due to injuries. This is a non-issue with a health Mixon and Scruggs.

I used to love the lead draw on 3rd and long…it worked almost every time when the Cowboys and Rams would do it in the 90’s.

That’s what she is saying without saying it
I’m fine with mixing in some play action on 1st down. Just not running it on 1st every single time.
CJ is Goin with the safe throws.....sidelines mostly. Throw deep, open it up. 3,4 great receivers.
The O-line wasn’t blocking, CJ had 2.7 seconds per drop back. Deep routes take time to develop, CJ had none.
Bobby slowik is the most predictable OC in the NFL
You have no idea what you're saying.

Look at that Georgia game… they did design half rollouts every play and CJ lit them up….lets do some of that.
The Pass can set up the Run just like the Run sets up the Pass . With CJ as my QB I'm gonna throw it whenever I please .

At what part of the game do you realize ITS NOT WORKING? You should need a week to realize maybe we should mix things up.
If you know football, you have to show the willingness to run so it opens up playaction!
